Fantastic course very well maintained, played on a rainy day and the course still played great. Very fair price to play for such a great course. I would recommend this course to anyone.

I played plantation golf course in olive branch, ms; Course is usually in great shape ; greens were excellent for putting, speed was good; Fairways are kind of dried out, doesn't seem they are watering them; drives go straight, they go along way; would definitely play here again; hope they water the fairways; people are always very nice

One good, kind and enthusiastic employee. The course is nice, the driving range is well kept but they're are several employees who are rude, robotic and don't care for the individuals that go. This poor rating is more about management as I called in and asked if anyone had found my golf shoes because I left them there. I was met with, "not outside and I will certainly tell you there are none inside." The NEXT day I went to the driving range and asked that kind employee and was immediately taken to the lost and found where they WERE. The man on the phone didn't even check and responded incredibly rude to my simple ask...

I consider myself pretty athletic. I am blessed, I can pick up any sport and be decent at it. Golf... Not so much. On the range I was decent and got my swing down pretty quick. Once we got on the course it was a whole other ball game... I was terrible. We had to let people skip us and everything...Thank you to every golfer who passed me and didn't make fun of me!

I am definitely no golf course expert, but I have been to quite a few courses. The course was muddy in a lot of spots and the range is pretty beat up. There's no grass left on the designated range area to practice with my pitching wedge (golf term..), which is frustrating. They have the range area taped off with some sort of plastic rope, which I hit multiple times... I'm sure a decent golfer wouldn't be as frustrated with the tape...

They will give you plenty of range balls. I got a large bucket of range balls and multiple men said "that's a lot of balls to hit for a little girl like you..." So I just smiled and replied "it's going to take 10x this to make me a decent golfer..." It was expensive to golf on the weekends! I definitely will be going here often, because its not usually over crowded and its 5 minutes from my house. I'd definitely check it out, but it is no Mirimichi!

I started playing here in the mid-nineties. Played here for the first time in over a year Sunday and was very disappointed with the course. Let me say here that there is a fine line between returning to a more natural look and just being plain lazy. Lots of areas on the golf course are unkempt where before they used to be manicured. All the brush between number one and number two tee box is gone. Make way for a zero lot line house. All the bushes right of number two green have been axed away. Areas on three and four need to be mowed down and less severe for errant tee shots. Sure you should be punished for a bad tee shot but you shouldn't spend 5 minutes looking for your ball five feet left of the fairway or green. They have ruined hole 7 by filling in the water before the green. Lots of greenery has been taken away around hole 9. Standing on the 11th green and looking around looks like the course has lost a battle with a tornado with all of the trees gone. Twelve is lined with goose crap and weeds/brush growing out of the ditch. It's never cool to be unable to see where you need to hit your tee shot, especially when it looks like someone doesn't want to pay the costs to have this place kept up. Can someone explain the need to me to have the bunker on 13 removed? Fifteen is terrible. The loss of the tree on the left with unattended grass on the left and behind the green stinks. Hit my ball in the fairway on 18 and ended up with mud on my ball. It had come to rest in a circle of mud in the fairway that had no grass. Let me say I shot a 76. Not a bad round by any means but this place held such great memories for me over the last three decades. It's a shame the way this course has been attended to especially with Windyke taking it over. I don't think it will ever be what it once was. Good for one round a year when I get nostalgic.

If you are just looking to get a round of golf in, this place will do just fine. The course layout is not too long, and mostly straight, with plenty of open space for errant shots. A few of the approaches require more precision, and event though the course was pretty wet the green were still quite fast.

The cons: No carts to the range, so if you don't know where you are going, you could end up carrying the clubs all around a bit more than you may like. But on the positive, the buckets are plenty big.

Bottom line, solid golf destination in Memphis area, but I think you can you can do better for the money.

Will not return to Plantation Golf Course again: I haven't played at Plantation Golf Course in a couple of years but went this morning with a friend because my club was booked for some reason. Everything was fine until we made the turn to go to # 10 tee and there were 6 carts full of people that weren't in front of us on the front 9. I called the desk and the guy came out and said they switched the starting tee to # 10 right when we were on #9 green. I was so pissed. He couldn't give me an explanation why, but the other couple we were paired up with were pissed also so we all quit.

Golf is a game of etiquette and what they did were just plain stupid and was probably so that they could make more money. I will never go back to plantation again, which is no big deal cause it really isn't on my short list of golf courses in Memphis. Go to Mirimichi in Millington, it is awesome.
