Planet Pizza

The food is great. But they charge you taxes individually on every item. Then at the end they charge full taxes on everything. My food was $18.68 with taxes then they add an additional 8.375% on top totaling $20.85. That's insane. When I mentioned this to the manager he was ignorant to the matter and made many excuses. This is the third time they do this to me. I keep giving them the benefit of the doubt. Not anymore. BBB coming for you next.

I am giving one star for the service. The pizza is good!! I placed an order for a few pies and two-liter soda for the staff at a local hosp that was caring for my son. I called in the order paid with my card over the phone. When the nurse went downstairs to pick up the pizza (because the delivery person said he couldn't go upstairs) she was told that the pizza was not paid for. The delivery guy did not speak a lick of English, which for me was hard to understand over the phone because I don't speak Spanish. I called the pizzeria and was told by the guy who took the order no I didn't charge your card are you sure you gave it to me. so, I gave it to him again thinking maybe he didn't charge me. Well, he did charge me the first time and the second time. When I realized that I was charged twice I called back, and he said well let me check. Yes, I did charge you the first time I'm sorry. He proceeds to tell me I will have the funds back on Monday (Christmas). I asked why did the driver think it wasn't paid for and he stated he forgot to tell him (really)!!!
This is long enough I'm sure you get the point do not let them tell you that they didn't charge your card or verify that info before giving it again. After venting to several people come to find out this is something that there known for it happens all the time so, please BEWARE!!

I really enjoy the pizza here. I know it's completely illogical, but somehow I find that their individually sold slices taste better than their pies. I know they probably use the exact same ingredients in both, but I can't argue with my taste buds!

I originally enjoyed coming here because their slices are very large. Eating just one is enough to feel full. They make New York style pizza with a good amount of flop. Their sauce is slightly sweet and chunky. They also have great, crispy crust. I usually stick with plain cheese, but my mom enjoys their white slices too.
They also sell chocolate chip cookies, which are a nice post-meal treat.

Otherwise, they have a huge menu with lots of Italian favorites. I've tried their penne vodka, garlic knots, and cheese fries. Nothing super special, but it's always satisfying food.

They are pretty reasonably priced, but it's best to pay in cash because they do charge their credit card fees to customers.

Stopped at Planet Pizza on our vacation driving back to NJ. Staff was awesome and food was great. We had a salad and a couple slices. Cost was under $20 which was our cheapest meal on our trip but one of the best tasting meals. Keep up the great work!

Raw hot wings. Pleaded with the restaurant for them to fry the wings hard, got rushed off the phone, 36 raw wings showed up. Called to complain & they asked for the raw wings Jack & sent some fresh ones. Tread lightly with the chicken

There's one thing that goes real good with:
frigid evening weather+3-day weekend....and that's Pizza (to me).

My fave Pizzeria UNO was our first line of defense- but they shut down. Francesco's on Mamaroneck Ave. makes good pizza- but they're closed on Sundays. So we thought we could relive what was- at Planet. Back when I ate poultry, my husband and I would share a 'Penne Planet' filled with grilled chicken, Sun-dried Tomatoes, Broccoli and a few other veggies (It's still his favorite).

My small white Pizza just lacked quality and taste: Mozzarella looked cheap and Ricotta had grotesque globs of 'Ricotta'. On top of that, Ricotta had the consistency of cream cheese. Jesus help me! Maybe their entrees and Salads are good, but they aren't turning out pizza the way they used to and seriously think, Planet doesn't have this thing down to a science. But I guess it was good while it lasted.

Had a pan slice. Was ok, same as every other pizza place. Pizza was definitely sitting around a long while. Service was unfriendly, no hello or thank you. The guy at the counter looked like he would have rather been any other place on the planet then at work today. Based on the long history of negative reviews, it appears management couldn't care less. If I'm in the area and no other pizza places are around I would come again

really like the pizza. Long waits when you call. staff is unfriendly to actually rude. Deliveries are late. too bad. we are regular customers but will find another supplier.

Food was suppose to be delivered in an hour. At an hour and a half, I called. I was told they were very busy and the order had not left the store.

Two hours after order food arrived. Pizza was cold and Salad was missing a key ingredient (Bacon).

I called. I was told we are very busy. They will credit me the bacon on my next order.
