Andrew M.Seattle, WA11219524Feb 1, 2024I've been 3 different planet fitnesses in the last couple months and they are all consistently good. This one is on the small side, but that's not bad. It's easy to get in and get out of.
The one knock I have on this place as far as cleanliness goes, this one ranks last. I wouldn't call it gross, but an improvement is definitely possible.

Nicholas J.Seattle, WA01Feb 26, 2024Multiple pieces of equipment out of service for long periods of time. Water fountain has been out of service for 3 weeks so if you didn't bring enough water they are more than happy to have you pay for a bottle, and the water fountain has not looked clean for months. Multiple paper towel holders empty even with the facility being staffed 24 hours.

I regularly use this club. I walked into the club today and the only water fountain is STILL broken. As usual, no one at the desk has any information for members. Ridiculous. No filtered water. if you run out in your water bottle I guess you use the bathroom. Yuk! C'mon PF. FIX IT!

Oct 17, 2022Previous reviewI have been going to this gym for years. Pros: the hours are good; it is very clean; parking is easy. Cons: the equipment maintenance is poor. they recently fixed a couple of stair climbers that had been broken for months and months and now they are broken again. The free weight area can be difficult to use at peak times because the are is small and people can keep the weight benches tied up for long periods while they are on their phones between sets. Also, you can't cancel or upgrade a membership unless you go there in person. It is an antiquated system for a national company that cannot make electronic signature available. I will not be upgrading my membership as I do not want to wait in line at the front desk for service or take my wallet into the gym when I work out in order to transact business.
Aug 14, 2019Previous reviewWhen I first started going to the Marysville gym a couple of years ago it was well run. Now the staffing is inconsistent and there is often only one person at the front desk handling prospective new members, answering the phone, checking in members, and handling all Black card spa sign ups. So Black Card holders have to wait to sign up for tanning or a massage chair because there is no way to access these amenities without assistance from a staff person. One or more of the massage chairs is often broken, making the wait longer. I have just left a number of times rather than wait. This devalues my membership. The TV in the Black Card spa used to be turned down and that was more relaxing. Now it is loud and tends to ruin the spa experience and members can't turn it down. I was told it is "policy" to keep it turned up. On the plus side, the facility is clean, the gym machines are well maintained, and the staff is generally friendly. I have used the membership out of state at no cost when I travel and this is a great feature for me.

During the pandemic Planet Fitness in Marysville Washington "stopped the clock" on my membership.
This was a very noble thing that they did not just for me but for 100s of other customers.
Fast forward to October 6 2023.
I was told that my 18 month membership with the 1 time credit card purchase of $200 some odd bucks has lapsed.
I was just given the grim news that I must surrender to this gym my bank routing number for a NEW membership plan that requires me to pay penalty fees whenever I decide that it is time to for me to quit.
My opinion of this clubs ownership just went from very high to very low.

I was drying off after showering and there was
a person taking selfies in the men's locker
room. I asked him to stop and he said for me
not to worry about it and then started taking
several. I then told him to stop and that it was
bothering me. He continued. When he walked
out past the front desk I informed the person
working the desk the individual was taking
pictures in the locker room and wouldn't stop
when asked. The employee said the camera
policy allows people to take pictures anywhere
in the facility as long as it didn't bother anyone.
Then the employee said sorry a mark will be
put on his membership.
What a joke! Kinda creepy and weird if you ask

It's too small and crowded, and on top of that, I am very well aware policy is policy with bags, but I medically needed it to be with me at all times, but for your front desk reception to question me "Well you're medically i'll for what?" I understand but I don't have to explain my situation to you for privacy. and you guys wanna kick me out ? ain't no customer service in here , y'all need to hire better ppl that actually wanna do their job.

Will not cancel my minor son's account who did not sign up with a parent permission form. They failed to check his age requirements. They are charging his account 2 times and won't cancel his membership even thought he has tried online and in person. Tonya if that is her name won't cancel his membership and has seen the multiple charges and refuses to return the fees in total of $163.21 in less then a month and a half.

There is a time when all things must come to an end like my gym membership.
Which is impossible to cancel. I have moved out of state and cannot come in person to cancel my membership as they require you to do at the location you signed up. For the require certified letter with reason to cancel. OK fair enough I sent them a certified letter two weeks ago which they still claim they have not received.
