We recently ordered delivery to have some of of their New York style pizza. This time we got a plain cheese and a presto pesto + chicken. Neither one disappointed. We've never experienced anything bad here and have always been satisfied.
The owner, a proud local native, puts much love into his community and especially his pies.
This is one of our favorite go to, take out, & get delivery from spots.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - H M.San Diego, CA2429Oct 2, 2022
Did Pizzamaniac shut down?
I stopped by the other day and it looked abandoned. It's been tough doing this recession I guess and sad to see another establishment gone.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 23, 2021
Given that this place is a one-man show, I realized I got to chat up the owner and he is a true gem (yea most people will call a place a 'hidden gem' but y'all know how I roll). Vista born and raised; he is proud of his decision to stay in this town and share his love of thin-crust pizza (even he knows he would probably do better in a different city, but he is to a point where he enjoys watching this area get built up). I admire his passion and loyalty!
I ordered the Bad Boy (pepperoni, pineapple, garlic and jalapeños... I have a joke here about liking pizza the way I like my men, hot! ...spicy + sweet) in medium and uh... sizes run big here. Medium is huge and large is just obscene.
The crust was a perfect balance of chew and crunch! I actually ate my slices crust-first. And, the slices were not floppy like literally all the other thin-crust places nearby.
I also got marinara to dip the pizza in, and that was beautifully dotted with garlic and well-seasoned.
He set his prices with tax-included so the high schoolers down the street would be able to pop in for a by-the-slice quick bite with their pocket money.
Please come check out this business. I came around lunch hour and I was the only customer (he did mention he's just as happy even if he only sells 5 pizzas a day, and this attitude is amazing).
Pros:
- super friendly
- excellent crust!!
- unique menu (can do 1/2 + 1/2) or build-your-own
- quality ingredients
- obscene, medium, and by-the-slice options
- fun artwork and ambience
- TONS of parking
- easy to understand pricing
- open kitchen
Cons:
- not thee best area, but getting cleaned upHelpful 24Thanks 0Love this 21Oh no 0 - Yetzwvelyth M.Vista, CA03642Jan 7, 2023

Twice ordered and twice the delivery by Pizzamaniac was a mess. The first time, with the Wife's account, the delivery driver was near 15min late and luckily we were surveying our front windows and witnessed the driver deliver our food across the street. With today's GPS, this always bewilders me.
The second time ordered, my account, the estimated delivery was 5:20 pm. I received an alert at 5pm the order was on its way. At 5:40 pm I made a call to the restaurant and was told "the driver is on the way."
"Yes, I know. The driver apparently left at 5pm" I said. I was offered a $5 credit to the ordering App.
Food finally arrived at 5:51pm. (91min after payment)
I requested double cut for my toddler and it was not. Pizza was cold.
I requested my salad chopped and it was not.
0-2 Pizza maniac! Hire better drivers or be accountable. This review is for anybody who wishes to hear my opinion.
UPDATE! Upon my second call I was issued a full refund. And was informed even if you go through Pizzamaniacs App, they still use a 3rd party delivery service.
My advice: Your reputation is being diminished by parties not associated with your establishment.
My concern now is, "why wasn't my Pizza double cut for a child and my salad chopped?"Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 1Business owner information

This guy is a joke and just trying to get free food
The pizza was smaller slices and how else would you serve a salad but chopped “oh the pieces weren’t small enough” wtf does that even mean.

Since the pandemic began our whole family has been gathering for "Pizza Fridays" and Pizzamaniac has been the center of that tradition. (Leave any judgments about gatherings, we were all isolating and following guidelines).
This isn't just good pizza. I discovered it because I kept hearing it's one of the best pizza spots in the country. I've had Pizza from New York and Philly and LA and SF AND everywhere in between... this Pizza is extraordinary!
The friendliest of proprietors- goes out of his way to make sure you have an awesome experience!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 7, 2020
Go ahead and believe the hype. This place is great.
Their pizza is terrific, and that's plenty enough reason to come here, but don't overlook their salads. We've been getting their "family" deal ($31, 2 topping pizza, salad and garlic knots) and the apple almond salad is absolutely delicious. You have to pay a buck or two more for the apple almond salad but it's worth it. Otherwise, you can pay the standard price and get the Caesar or garden salad.
The garlic knots come with a small container of delicious marinara sauce. The knots are a bit doughy but are still pretty good.
The counter guys couldn't be any friendlier, so that's also a bonus.
We drive quite a bit out of our way to come here because it's so good. If you haven't tried them yet, you should.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Bob B.San Francisco, CA42258Oct 6, 2022
Apparently closed? What a bummer, this place was such a great lunch spot. Hopefully they will re open or give an update

By far one of the best pizzas I've had. I got the pepperoni with ricotta and crispy. The crust was perfection and the ricotta was so creamy. The pizza was ready on time and still hot when i got home. The staff is SO nice. Will 10/10 be back again soon. Thanks guys!

One bite into the pizza here and you'll be a Pizza fanatic! I really liked the crispy noise it makes as you bite into it but you also get the thin soft interior of the dough as well. It's an excellent deal for the 2 slice combo or the slice+garlic knots combo and they come with a drink.
Food:
1) Pesto pizza - delicious! I just wish there was a stronger pesto flavor.
2) Buffalo chicken pizza - fantastic. The buffalo flavor wasn't too overwhelming
3) Garlic Knots - holy moly these are AMAZING. They were so soft and doughy on the inside and had that crisp on the outside. Very garlicky flavor which I absolutely loved.
4) Bad Boy pizza - I loved the combination of the meat with the jalapeños. When I saw that pineapple was part of the ingredients I was so turned off. I love Pineapple but it has no business on a pizza. They actually use fresh pineapples here so it wasn't nearly as sweet and the flavor was more subtle. I was actually surprised that it was much better than al the other Hawaiian pizzas I've had at other spots.
Service: Excellent! The owner is super friendly and did a really good job of checking on us and making us feel welcome.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
