stopped in here randomly with my son on a weekday around noon. I figured we would have a wait but was able to be seated right away. This location has outside patio seating right off the busy 23rd street which is nice they offer outside seating as well. They even had darling string lights for the evening as well.
Another plus about this spot is that they have a private parking lot in the back for everything in the building they're in. If you're like me and still can't parallel park then this is a huge plus!
They offered lots of great lunch specials greatly priced at $10. However we opted in ordering a small build your own and we adding pineapple topping.
The pizza itself was delicious i was amazed how light and crispy it was. Typically pizza is covered in grease and you feel heavy after eating it this wasn't the case. It was thinner crust yet crispy and just tasted very fresh! The pineapple chunks on the pizza were huge! It was as if they actually cut pineapple chunks rather than the small canned ones you get from pizza delivery service.
The service was good we had two servers and one was definitely more attentive than the other he brought us more utensils etc, refilled our drinks etc.
No long wait time here for service even though we had 2 servers everyone was pretty efficient.
If only i lived closer I'd definitely stop in more and i wish all pizza tasted this fresh and light!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - May 27, 2020Updated review
Under new management I must applaud the improved service. Both Paul and Jay were wonderful hosts on our past visit. I didn't even bother mentioning the food in my past review, so here goes, and I just gotta be honest here...Pizza is overpriced and only tastes okay. They charge $14 for a small specialty pie. Crust texture reminds me a bit of gluten free, dense with a bready taste, only not crunchy crispy like typical thin crust. It flopped under the weight of basic pepperoni. Mozzarella tasted cheap, very oily and extra chewy. I did like the large-sized pepperoni they use, getting some in each bite. But it lacked the spicy taste I like (tip: shaking a good amount of black pepper on it helped). On our past visit they served pizza right out of the oven boiling hot and failed to warn us. I burnt my hand as the cheese slid right off onto me. (Lordy! Plz let it rest a spell). After letting it cool a few minutes down to 'hot', toppings stayed in place properly. Despite glowing reviews, the cheesy rumble bread was a miss, the same bad mozzarella, same boring unrisen crust and it badly needed salt. The accompanying red sauce for dip was very acidic, I prefer more balance. But their daily happy hour is especially nice with 1/2 priced draft beer.
Dining room feels small and a bit bland, lacks atmosphere. But front patio is nice during warm weather. On the upside, there is plenty of parking in back. Pizza 23 is an okay option if you are the area, but is becoming irrelevant in the metro as a whole.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0May 14, 2019Previous reviewService here is consistently awful..And what's worse is they know it and they don't care. Management hires the laziest workers. Everyone has an attitude problem and act like they don't want to be there. In any communication expect them to be short and rude. You are on their time and you will know it. Cooking, serving = mere inconveniences. Managers are complicit even enabling this bad behavior.
It's gotten so bad they have earned a reputation for it locally.
I don't get it. Is being jerk to people their schtick? Maybe the 'don't give a fuck' attitude part of training? Owner needs to step up and do something about it. - Mike W.Edmond, OK01319Feb 3, 2020
Having appointment downtown we stopped in to this nice little relaxing pizza place tucked away on 23rd St. & Dewey. We ordered the Hawaiian pizza with black olives instead of red onions. Mmm boy howdy! It came out with some big chunks of barbecue chicken and pineapple - it was so delicious my buddy Anthony couldn't even believe it! $17 size was plenty. They also have $10 lunch special with a little 6 inch pizza and a salad and a drink.

This is the best pizza place in OKC. Hands down. It's all kinds of yum. The pizzas are expensive but unique and well worth it for the quality. The ingredients taste amazing and the pizza is always perfect. We always get The Boss specialty pizza and it is my absolute favorite!!!! The truffle oil and herbs on top really make the pizza.

Hadn't been here in a while and had a hankering to have it tonight. I was pleased to see it hasn't changed. We started with the chopped salad- which is probably my all time favorite salad!! I know it's hard to mess up a salad but I was beyond happy that this salad was still fabulous!! We chose the Carnivore pizza this time and it's still SO. GOOD. All meat, but not too much that it all falls off. The flavors of the meat were all great!' The only complaint I had was the hard rock music playing. I'd like to say it was in the background, but it was too loud for that. Overall, amazing dinner! And yes, we do eat a lot of pizza

How have I never been here? They have a fabulous happy hour with half price beer and apps- definitely returning for that! We had the cheese bread and a pepperoni pizza. As self proclaimed pizza connoisseur, this is a top fave. Top five, maybe?
A little greasy, extra cheesy, crispy and large, tasteful pepperoni slices. Fabulous house-made ranch to top it off! The cheese bread with their marinara sauce was a hit, we were fighting for the last piece.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Have a seat on their front patio looking over 23rd street, it's adorable.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Skyler S.Oklahoma City, OK533845Apr 7, 2019
Pretty disappointed in this joint. I ordered the hot Italian sub. The bread wasn't toasted, the chips were just like movie theater tortilla chips, and the salsa was watery and most likely packaged. With a 2.50 drink plus tip, I paid around $16 bucks for some really basic and packaged food. I mean, at least toast the freaking bread! Not going back again and I suggest you go somewhere else as well.

I love to support all restaurants in my area, and we usually frequent another pizza spot. Today my son said he wanted to try the pizza spot by orange leaf. I wasn't a fan because the last two times I have eaten here I have been disappointed. The reason I didn't really come back is because they take forever and the pizza is mediocre. So I knew I should have not came here because they brought me a dirty glass with food particles floating around. Never Again!!!!
