Unfortunately this calls for a 1-star rating on the contract and refund policy only.
I met with trainer Natalie last week and she was amazing; so no issues there. I had email interaction with Erika, who was equally nice; no issue there either. But the issue I have is that I paid $2,220.00 upfront and did not use a single session because I found that I could not commit due to extreme restrictions between my business, home life (mother of 5 young children), and moving to a different state in less than 2 months. The thought of having a personal trainer was exciting but Monday alone was challenging enough to commit; its simply impossible.
After going back and forth in emails, I received an today stating "Natalie, I am very sorry at this time we cannot issue a refund. We are expanding to different areas on the west coast and we would be happy to get you set up with an MFG trainer once you land at your new home. Your package does not expire. We truly want to be helpful in every way we can. In this case too, if you happen to have any time slots open up, even if just for 30-45mins, Natalie is still very able to come train you. I know it isn't ideal, but fitness sometimes isn't pretty! I am here to help in any way and please let me know if you would be interested in using your package once you move! Best of luck over this super busy month!"
As a law professional and having a business, I think it's just pure robbery to take that much money from someone knowing there is no possible way for them to commit. I understand the refund and cancellation policy but seeming how the payment was made late Friday and sessions canceled on Monday, seems a bit extreme to not refund. I could understand if I had used sessions or was a few weeks into sessions.
My advice is to not dish out that much money upfront until you're well into training... At this point, I just have to write it off as a loss!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Natalie, we are sincerely sorry that training with MFG did not take fruition after your complimentary consultation. The purpose of the agreement is to protect each party and to outline expectations. We offered options, such as having a trainer ready for you to come to your new home once you moved. We offered breaking sessions into half hours to help with a busy schedule. We offered the sessions with no expiration. But most importantly, we were hired to support you and motivate you. It is our purpose and mission to help our clients to live healthier lives through fitness. We want all of our clients, especially the moms and business owners, who have the world on their shoulders, who give and take care of all of those around them, we want them and you to experience how we can truly help because we care. We want to hold you to your goals when you think you can't because that's what we committed to do. That's what we signed on to with this agreement. It was never anyone's intention for those sessions to not be used. They still will not expire and we want to do everything we can to make them available for you to use at any time.

I decided a few months ago that the gym membership I was spending 90$ a month on wasn't really doing much for me, since I was never going.
I really hate the gym. I feel like i never know what to do, and I'm probably doing everything wrong. When I do go, I generally run on the treadmill for 30 minutes and then leave.
I work a desk job and do freelance when I get home, so I'm spending a good 12-14 hours sitting in a terrible position.
When I talked to Joe, I mentioned I wanted someone who could help me with back pain and posture and maybe tone me up and help me drop a couple extra pounds. He paired me with Suzanne Dow and she has basically completely changed how I think about working out.
She focuses on getting my posture and form good first and foremost. She won't even let me start until my core is engaged and my shoulders are back. Then she targets areas of my body that are getting the most abuse from my job.
I've been working with Suzanne once a week since about April now. I also started using Erika their personal Yoga instructor when Suzanne recommended that could benefit me as well. I've gained some nice lean muscle, I stand a bit taller, leaned up through the face and waist area and I just generally look and feel way healthier than when I started. I also for the first time didn't care much about not seeing numbers drop on the scale. i could see that I was gaining muscle and losing some of that stubborn fat. For the first time it wasn't about just obsessively losing pounds, but about feeling good about myself.
I really can't recommend them enough. Everyone I've worked with really truly care about what they do and getting you to feel your best.Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

I have been very impressed with Mobile Fitness Group and my outstanding trainer, Kylie. Joe from MFG has been very friendly, helpful and frequently reaches out to check in, and the trainer assigned to me has been one of my all-time favorite trainers. It is good value for the money and so convenient having someone come to your home. My workouts are INTENSE and vary constantly and push me much harder than I would push myself. Every workout is different, customized to my goals, and always leaves me drained but happy! I am about ten sessions in and enjoying and look forward to trying more. Great experience thus far.

I gained a lot of weight on a medication after I had my second baby and was depressed and out of shape. I had a tried a few group fitness programs but found that I was having a lot of pain and re-injured my shoulder and knee trying to keep up. For me, working out with other people was tough when I felt like I was in the worse shape of my life.
I found Mobile Fitness on Thumbtack as I found it very appealing to work out at my house and get individualized attention. Yes, it's more expensive than group training but completely worth it. The prices are actually less than many trainers I researched prior to selecting Mobile Fitness, especially when signing up for a package. And it's a great benefit to have a trainer come to your house. For what you get, it is very reasonably priced.
Joe was very responsive and listened to my issues and history and then recommended a trainer the next day. I wanted someone who was low key and would be sensitive to my past injuries and start out at a pace that I could handle.
The trainer, Michael came over to meet me and I liked his training philosophy as well as his personality, so was a very good fit.
The TRX was very foreign to me and it was helpful to have Michael demonstrating the exercises and making sure I was doing them correctly.
In a short time, I have been able to master the TRX and develop a lot of strength. The exercises work many different muscle groups at once and after an hour, you definitely feel that you have worked out your whole body. I started to feel more toned and I could see areas visibly shrinking. It motivated me to start hill walking on the off days and I started watching my diet more and I've lost a lot of weight.
It was a great decision for me to do one on one training at the house as I needed that jump start. Joe and Michael are very good at what they do and I could not be more pleased with the results. I look forward to the workouts and training with Michael, the whole experience has been very positive.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I found Mobile Fitness Group through their ad at my work. I work in production so have crazy long hours. Majority of my day is spent on the lot. I was excited to find that we had a 24/7 gym and access to a trainer. Outside of work I play roller derby so wanted a trainer that could help build up my endurance for on the track.
My trainer is Kylie, who really kicks my butt (in a good way!). I saw progress after the first 3 weeks of training! Everything we do is so targeted and personalized that gives me the results I am looking for. I have always been an active person but find myself never knowing what to do when I just go to the gym alone. Kylie always has routines that keep me going and on my toes, from doing somersaults to sled pushing and everything in between! My body and mind is always being pushed.
Another thing I enjoy about Kylie is her flexibility. With our shooting schedules changing, she is very willing to adjust our sessions and work with my work schedule. That is a HUGE relief because the last thing I want is another stress with time commitment.
Not only is my couch involved, but Joe as well! I have had personal trainers before, but never has the head hancho been so interested. Especially at the start, Joe checks in to see if your trainer is a match, if the work outs are what you like and just likes to hear how you are enjoying it. You really have a voice and feel taken care of.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I've been working with Erika S. with Mobile Fitness Group for nearly 6 months, and have been pleased with every aspect of service. Joe has been quick to respond from the time I submitted my first inquiry, to occasionally checking in to ensure I remain satisfied with everything. Erika is AWESOME! She pushes me in just the way I need to be, is incredibly friendly and professional, and very knowledgeable. All this, with the convenience of the service coming to you. Can't beat it.

I found Mobile Fitness on Thumbtack and was very happy to be able to work out of my condo. It is more than a group training but so worth it to me. For the benefit of having a trainer come to your home the price is very reasonable when you sign up for the package. Joe Bach/Mobile Fitness Group is very professional and set me up with a awesome trainer. I love my trainer and would highly recommend Joe Bach/Mobile Fitness Group.

Joe is an amazing trainer. So down-to-earth and easy to get along with. He checks up on me periodically throughout the week and to ensure that I eat well and keeping up with my fitness routine. He makes my hour of fitness go by fast and always has positive energy/things to say. I highly recommend Joe and PIT Fitness if you are looking for a personal trainer and someone who will hold you accountable.
Thanks my friend!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Celine P.Mission Viejo, CA051Aug 28, 2015
I've been training with one of Joe's trainers, Eddie, in Orange County and I must say it's been an amazing experience. Eddie is understanding, patient but surely also knows how to challenge me. It's never the same workout and it makes it fun each time.
Eddie is always checking on me and making sure I am doing ok after a workout and always brings up new ideas not just to workout but also mobility exercises, stretching, etc.
I never used to work out in the morning before going to work but now it's become a habit and I feel great for the rest of the day.
Don't hesitate to get fit with these guys! Joe and his team are awesome!!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
