Came here with a friend last night and we loved it! Our waitress, Deb, was so friendly and helpful. We started with the warm bread and oil. The bread was so good we were surprised by how much we enjoyed it. I got the ravioli and added grilled chicken and it was so good! My friend got the short ribs and polenta and she said it was great as well.

We put down our names and waited 40mins on friday night to sit down. They dont do phone call or online reservation. Its great that they open patio, some tables with heater, some dont.
Rigatoni bolognese: my husband enjoyed it. I think its pretty standard. We agreed we had better quality somewhere else.
Ravioli: big size, lemon sauce made its easier to eat. Ravioli didnt taste like freshly handmade. The shell was too thick for my like. I like the filling. With all the cream sauce and thick shell, I felt uncomfortably heavy after.
Hazelnut italian soda was meh. Its better at those coffee stations on the street.
Portion is not enough to fill your belly especially with the prices. Like not so hungry but not completely full for ~$50. It was the plate size itself that big.
They greeted me at the door. The one who put my name down he was friendly and polite. The waitress however was quite loud and unprofessional. I felt like she rushed us to finish our food. Food was brought out, 30s later she came asked was it good. When I was still eating, she asked if she could take the plate, maybe cause I had 3 pieces left??Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Caroline R.Seattle, WA48023Sep 30, 2022
Cucumber Collins & Piatti Spritz both delicious! Decent happy hour 3-6pm at the bar. Outdoor seating available or indoor but kind of quiet inside.

We had an enjoyable lunch at Piatti's. The service was excellent! I wish I got the name of our waiter. He was so nice and patient with all our questions.
Their boneless ribs with polenta was very delicious. The linguine with clams lacked flavor so I don't recommend that entree to anyone. At least not for the price we paid. Our other entrees, Rigatoni, pizza, etc. were very good.
I would definitely return!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - O M.Seattle, WA07Jun 22, 2023
Patti at the University Village opened yesterday after being closed for several months for renovation.
My daughter and I didn't have time for dinner so we went for Happy Hour, which was posted online. This was going to be treat as she grew up going to Piatti for lunch/dinner.
1. The server coldly said there is no Happy Hour for a week or two, we don't know when it will start.
2. The bartender said for us every hour is Happy Hour...not a funny joke.
3. The restaurant was not busy at all, and the bar area was empty.
4. Even if they didn't have Happy Hour bites, all we wanted was a glass of wine.
5. Be careful when dining there the prices have increased e.g. drink $16+, more like NYC prices.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to write your review. I often use this as a way to make sure we are not lacking in areas of service. Clearly we missed the mark here. Cold behavior and jokes that are not appropriate is not who we are here at Piatti. For this I would like to apologize. The day after opening, we were not set up to run our Happy Hour, this should not have negatively affected your experience though. This is on us as well. We should have still poured you a glass of wine and let you enjoy some form of Happy Hour.
My hope is that you will let me make this right. If you are willing, please reach out to me directly at teresawismer@piatti.com so I can have you in and give you the service I know we all would like to give...and Happy Hour!
I am sincerely sorry that we missed a great opportunity to have good regulars in for a glass of wine and some small bites.
Warmly,
Teresa - Meridithe M.Oakland, CA81447Feb 16, 2023
Surprised by how good and reasonable the food is here. Wait staff were pleasant but every pass was a different person. We waited for water refills and salt and pepper. Will go back.

This was a decent Italian place, we stopped in after a day of shopping. The hostesses were super friendly and accommodating, the pizza was really good and thin and the sauce had a lot of great flavor! I was initially iffy about the lemon cream sauce since I don't love lemon flavor, but it was pretty subtle and really good. The ravioli was filled with a great filling, super flavorful! pretty good spot if you want some good Italian food

I came here for my birthday and they gave me a free desert which was super nice on their end. Overall good quality wise it taste very mediocre but the price is super expensive and they try to be a bougie experience but the taste of the food just doesn't follow up with the price. I've tried here twice now and both times the pasta were just okay. If I was craving pasta i don't think this place would come to my mind.

Sadly we will not return any time soon. Very unfortunate as this was an excellent venue whenever we would shop or hang out at U village and had so many countless delicious meals here. Today we ordered:
Meat & cheese board (you must skip if you know and like good cheese, charcuterie board, etc. cheese tasted off and meats tasted rubbery and gross)
Marinated olives (maybe the only acceptable item on menu)
Calamari (terrible and funky old taste to it)
Squid ink pasta (the grossest, overcooked, lukewarm pasta I have ever had)
Roasted chicken (halfway decent though not impressive)
Pepperoni pizza (can't really go wrong but even then it was meh)
Rigatoni (sauce borderline ok but overcooked pasta ruined it)
As you can see above, it was an extremely disappointing and terrible dining experience. The server seemed overwhelmed and inattentive. No utensils, spilling things, not bringing fresh replacements out etc. The list goes on to add to this unsatisfactory and horrific experience. After the meal, I asked if there were new kitchen staff. Indeed there are. In fact kitchen staff, servers are almost all new apparently. Wish we would have known that before we dropped $160 on a meal here. Oh well. Live and learn. Somebody better learn from my experience and save their money or get a much better meal/service elsewhere.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 8931283707Jul 26, 2020Updated review
Updating to 3-3.5 star review. They've done a nice job reopening the patio and are offering limited dine in.
HH rose wine is only $6 and perfect on a nice summer day.
My HH Caesar $4. Good pricing but should had remembered my last experience...taste is OK but very salty.
My clams dish was quite good. Smaller portion for $13 but not terrible. The meat sauce on top had a nice flavor. Satisfying meal overall.
Staff are friendly and check on you regularly.
They have a new system where you can scan your bill and pay online through your phone. Super cool!Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Jul 5, 2018Previous reviewI wanted to like this place, but it's overpriced and the food is mediocre at best.
Happy Hour is only $1 off certain items...like really...that is not a very happy hour.
I came in seeking HH while out shopping and mostly just wanted some good wine. The rose I had was indeed delicious even if it was over $12.
Staff was good - attentive.
$3 bread...eh. It was fine. More than enough for people to share.
$10 grilled octopus...I wouldn't recommend. First off, I got severe food poisoning. Second, it was overcooked and super charred making it chewy. The whole plate aside from the little salad was not the most appetizing and super salty. Just not a good overall experience.
I can see this place is trying to be a bit more upscale, and the interior is nice...but I don't think I'd be coming back any time soon.
