No one showed up.
I called and spoke to a lady who set an appointment to check on some flooding with my irrigation system. She set up a date and said Tom would come by between 10-2pm and that he'd call about 30 minutes prior. I waited the entire 4 hour window and no one called or showed up. Frustrating to set all that time aside for a no-show.
Giving 2 stars because someone initially answered the phone.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - TJ M.Phoenix, AZ0613Jul 15, 2015
I decided to do this review a bit differently as Phoenix Irrigation is currently installing a complete redesign of my drip system. They weren't the cheapest yet their proposal was competitive.
Tom, my initial contact, was the main reason these guys got the job. He knew the most of all the vendors I interviewed. In fact I first discovered him as I bounced around various review sites. At the time he worked for another contractor and got rave reviews from satisfied customers. When I called this vendor I was disappointed because their field guys, although likable and competent, could not answer my technical questions. When Tom did his walk through for the proposal I made the connection to the Yelp review. So my expectations for a well designed, efficient system are high.
Day One. No drama. Showed up when they said they would. Had a five man crew who were good workers, pleasant, and professional. Tom was there to kick off the project then left it in the capable hands of crew chief Jose. Trenched the front yard and half of the back.
Day Two This crew is all work and no play (even with PM temps approaching 110). Front is all but complete with manifolds and spaghetti lines installed and buried. A few bumps to be handled with entryway pots. PVC was pressure tested before filling the trenches. Back and side yard is trenched. Let's see what tomorrow brings.
Day Three Work on back yard continues. The almost complete front yard is being tested with 45 min manual cycle. Only minor problem-solving required so far. Jose & crew just keep on churning. Jose provides good info & tips as I visit. Tom's list had four nuts and bolts issues, two of which had already been handled. Quick walk thru with Tom and my list is at zero. Tom's Engineering background make him uber qualified on the hydrology and he is equally informed about the needs of various plants in a desert biome. Crew worked a 10 hour day.
Day Four. Crew is down to three today for the final touches. 900 feet of Schedule 40 PVC, 45 manifolds, hundreds of emitters and tons of know how went into this job. These guys are up to the task. I am a fan.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - H H.Tomball, TX07Aug 17, 2016
We had the best experience with Tom and his team. His knowledge and professionalism allowed us to completely trust his advice and work. They scheduled us quickly and finished the job in two days. Our dying lawn is now something to smile about. We will definitely call Tom in the future and share our experience with others.
Exceeded our expectations and extremely pleased.

Installed completely new irrigation system (sprinklers and drip zone) in the back yard, as well as sod once the system was in. Some communication gaps in the quoted area (it was a mostly dirt lot... so understandable) and ended up with one sprinkler zone instead of two. This was similar to another quote I'd received (one reason I went with this company was two zones, which I thought was needed) - but so far it's ok - I did struggle a bit in later season with some grass dying off, but it's not matched to zone coverage so I don't think it's the pattern. I did learn you can use a demo hammer to trench in AZ soils!
Note on the drip systems: They do commercial-style zones with PVC leading to drip stations, each with a 6 emitter manifold. This is very nice and worked really well when I did the drip plumbing later, plus seems much more durable in the long run than 5/8 poly supply. But we did not have the station locations mapped in advance and some ended up in different places that I would have preferred... and our landscape designer friend was a little irritated. Lesson learned... it's always in the planning. Still, i think it's worked out ok.
Later came back and expanded the system in the side yard for some more plants and a raised garden bed. Had a bobble on this one where the new zones were obviously not tested as they were hooked into abandoned piping. Whoops! But the owner took care of it quickly.. so I'm happy and I do appreciate when folks make it right.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Meg S.Phoenix, AZ15620Jun 21, 2016
This is the second time I have used Phoenix Irrigation Services and they are fantastic! I called as it appeared I had a leak and Alfredo came out the very next day (called on his way which I absolutely appreciated - I work from home) and just a little digging, problem found, fixed and restored to exactly as it originally looked. I am so thankful for this company, their honest work and reasonable pricing! Keep their number handy! Great customer service! Thank you Alfredo and Tom for having such a great company and team!

Excellent, professional and easy to work with. Not everything went perfectly and they were great at handling the changes. Worth every penny.

First off, Tom is very professional, on time and polite. I needed a drip system installed in my backyard. Tom gave me options and discussed the job, how long it would take, what materials, etc. The price quoted was reasonable and we scheduled the job for the following weekend. The day of the job, Tom and his crew showed up on time and worked very hard to complete the job in about 4 hours, much shorter than I would have expected. If I hadn't seen with my own eyes, seeing how much digging and excavation that was needed, I wouldn't have believed it. My yard was back the way it was before they started. Tom then reviewed what they had done, pointed out certain aspects, instructed me on the timer and stated that his work is warrantied and that he would fix any issues that might arise. I would, without hesitation, recommend them for your irrigation needs.

Where do I begin, except to say that I AM DONE! I am done searching for someone who is knowledgable, fair, professional and trustworthy, because I have found TOM with PHOENIX IRRIGATION SERVICES.
To say that I was impressed with this company is an understatement. I am a two-time homeowner with 20+ years of managing the needs of older homes and I have never encountered a Service Provider/Contractor like Tom.
Tom provided a fair estimate, showed up on time, did an outstanding job and completed the repairs in less time than we thought! WHO IS THE BEST IRRIGATION COMPANY?? The answer: PHOENIX IRRIGATION SERVICES.

I had my leaking main water valve replaced and my non-functioning irrigation drip system timer replaced by this company. The job was done quickly and at a very reasonable price. The new timer that was installed had a manufacturing defect become apparent a few weeks later, and this company replaced the timer with no extra charge. I would use this company again and recommend this company to anyone needing irrigation services.
