Magic El Ropo

We've been loyal El Ropo fans ever since we met him at the Magic Castle on Valentine's Day, 2014. We go to see him as often as possible. He is hilarious, spontaneous, and so skilled. Over the years, I've hired him for:
1. My girlfriend's (now wife's) birthday party. The neighbors called the police because we were yelling so loudly in amazement.
2. A private zoom show during lockdown. He blew our minds.
3. Most recently, we had him perform at our wedding. During cocktails, he walked around and did closeup. Later on, he set up at a table in a back room and people wandered in for private shows. The room was consistently packed. So much yelling. Such a fun addition to our celebration. People can't stop talking about him.
El Ropo spent years as a standup before coming back to magic so he is actually funny and not just "magician funny." He handles crowds like a pro. He makes everyone feel like they're a part of the show and leaves you speechless. (unless you're like us - yelling so loud the police come...)
Hire him for your next event - you'll be a hero.

El Ropo was the best! My group and I came down to the cellar of the Magic Castle, expecting a packed room.

We arrived to an empty room, save for one El Ropo. He graciously asked us to sit down, and we felt like we were VIP.

Eventually, other guests arrived, but our private show was already under way.

My mind was blown from start to finish and I am STILL trying to unpack how he did all of his tricks.

Highly recommend El Ropo for any of your entertaining needs. He truly is a stand-up comedian that happens to also know magic.

I've caught El Ropo's act at The Magic Castle a few times, and every time he's a standout even among the other great performers there. Friendly, kind, and above all, ENTERTAINING, El Ropo is a true delight -- and an amazing magician. If you get a chance to catch his act (or better yet, have an excuse to hire him and bring his act to you) don't walk...RUN! You won't be disappointed.

I think every time I have been to The Magic Castle I have also been lucky enough to see El Ropo perform his close up magic. He always makes us laugh with his wit and his jokes. I studied magic in my younger days and his tricks still get me every time.

One of the best most entertaining acts you'll see. We see a lot of magic and magic is more than illusions and tricks it's about the show and el ropo is a showman! Hilarious to boot! Any time we are at the castle we make time to see his acts all night and hire him for a private event and you will not regret it!

We saw El Ropo again at the Magic Castle two night ago and he failed to bore us again. ;) The magic is always great but I'm trying to think of the right word to describe his sense of humor and maybe sardonic comes close but it's not quite right. But whatever it is, he's very entertaining and mesmerizing (that's definitely the right word). I was watching the other five in my group watching Phil's hands manipulating the rope and rings and they were transfixed the entire time (it was also close to midnight). Anyway, if the question is "are you not entertained?", the answer is a resounding "yes, yes, yes!!!"

Super fun and entertaining magician! Lots of jokes and incredible tricks. Highly recommend El Ropo.

My friends and I had the pleasure of seeing El Ropo at the Magic Castle and he was made such an impression on us! Who knew ropes could be so entertaining? The guy is absolutely hilarious, personable, and excellent at his craft! Highly recommend - definitely one of the highlights of our night!
