Well the food quality was ok.
The most important thing is service and food quality together, right?
So this place does not get the service points.
The reason is obvious,
Slow costumer service and wrong order that came out.
The cleanness of dinning area and restroom was fine.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 15, 2016
This is the place my #Marin bestie and I meet up for an occasional #happyhour render vous. The staff are friendly and always take good care of us in the bar. We always order a few appetizers - lettuce cups with chicken and the jicama tacos always make the grade. We sometimes order the California roll - which is okay, but not great - they don't use real crab (imitation krab a real pet peeve of mine).
The food is average, but I am fond of the place nonetheless. It's a clean, well lighted place for a few drinks and apps.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 25, 2017
We are a frequent eater here in Corte Madeira, that means we check in here every six to eight weeks i would guess. Food is always kind ok, i like asian food without GMO and you always know what you get when your eating at PF. So nothing VERY special but it fill you up and your not leaving hungry. The Atmosphere is also ok.
So why just 3 Stars? Well as its said it is a chain and you can get the food at every safeway or albertsons. So where is this special feeling that you want to get when your discovering the menu and tasting new items? Its lacking that a bit here.
But its always on our comeback list cause you know what you get.
Well when it come to service you always can ave luck and you also can have bad luck. But it never was a terrible experience. So over all its mediocre, that why it got 2 Stars below best, i would rather give it 2.5 but since thats not possible, well you know!
Oh by the way, in germany is this terrible thing that workers are always start cleaning stuff up way before closing time. So they can leave right after the restaurant close and don't have to start cleaning after closing. in general i can understand that. And if it is stuff that doesn't hurt the guest experience its fine. But in Germany i sometime want to enjoy a coffee after a dinner. And it is very common that I get the answer "Oh i am sorry the espresso machine is cleaned already!" or "Im sorry its defect (seeing 30 minutes before it perfectly had worked)."
I was so happy that this never happened here in the US where customer service and satisfaction is a goal. If you relay on tips or not.
BUT i have to say this cleaning in advance laziness seams to start in the US as well. At this visit with PF Change it was the second time in a restaurant in 10 days with exact the same wording "Sorry we are just now started to clean the machine." - really? 45 Minutes before "closing" - guys NO! I will complain to this every time it happens and it will costs a Star right away. I hope this is a trend that will not be a steady around here. Dont offer coffee at all if you don't like to serve it to the last customer.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Beth T.Mill Valley, CA110273324Sep 1, 2016
I don't give TOO many five-star reviews anymore.
Generally, if a place is terrific in every way, décor, customer service, friendliness, quality product...
I'll give a four-star review.
My five star reviews are reserved for those rare experiences during which most, if not all the stars aligned to provide an absolutely ABOVE and BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY experience.
Mom and I had that today at the Corte Madera P.F. Chang's.
Our server was Randy and he was charming and helpful, and respectful toward my sweet mom, who at nearly 80, was just minutes prior "hon" and "sweetied" repeatedly, by a gum-chewing early 20's medical assistant.
Anyway, Randy was amazing. He made perfect suggestions and was attentive as he could be.
The food was UNREAL!
We had two sets of dumplings - pan fried pork and steamed shrimp. I'm planning a day in the near future where I will drive to PFC and order as many of those as they can produce and eat them until I can't eat them anymore.
That's how muther-fekking good these are!
Then, pork egg rolls.
My mom considers herself an egg roll aficionado. A CONNOISSEUR, if you will. She enjoyed these egg rolls so much that she was making yummy noises that sounded vaguely, um, well... Intimate. Seriously, she digs these.
Sadly, for her, as I'm writing this, mom is napping and I am eating the last left over egg roll as she sleeps.
You know what "they" say...?
When you snooze...
Mom had the Orange Peel Chicken over brown rice and I had the Crispy Honey Shrimp. Both were EXCELLENT but we were pretty full so we took them home.
My only note, is not really a complaint;
I feel the honey shrimp platter needs a little something green on the plate. Just a thought. It tastes WONDERFUL but looks a smidge anemic.
Back to Randy: at the end of our lunch he happily boxed up our leftovers to take home! He is an UNBELIEVABLE asset to P.F. Chang's! (jeez am I starting to sound Trump-esque? Someone shoot me in the head. Quick!)
HE IS TREMENDOUS!
He's magnificent!
And he's cute too.
So go to P.F. Chang's and order all the stuff we ordered and get Randy to be your server and nothing can go wrong.
Believe me.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Jan 29, 2017
Weird experience tonight (which is only our second time here at this location): came into a Half empty restaurant and was told the wait was 10 to 15 minutes... Hmmmm. Okay they must be short staffed (or didn't plan for it to be this busy on a Sunday... I can deal with that). I give them my name and chill over on some bench seats.
Unfortunately, then they bypassed us and sat two or three other walk-ins before the hostess finally comes over and asks our family of 5 (two adults and 3 kids) if we're waiting for someone? What??? I tell her my name and say "you took my name like 15 minutes ago" she comes back to where we are waiting and tells me she didn't have me on the list and that she would get us seated right away. The second (more customer service savvy) hostess comes over and seats us immediately.
We ordered drinks and they came out ok and then we ordered dinner: when the food came out it was a drop and run ... I had to flag down another person to bring some silverware settings and napkins which our waitress forgot ... the three kids all sit there picking at what they can with their chopsticks and I pull a tissue out of my purse to wipe my mouth :(
Then my guy got a chicken bone (yes a small 1" bone that looked like a Barbie knife) in his wonton soup (wth!?) ... weird! And scary if he hadn't caught it in time. Bottom line is that we told two people that work there about this (to ensure the kitchen knew) and they didn't even comp the $3.50 soup. We didn't care about the cost, but wanted someone to show they give a rip about their failure to ensure food safety. It's sad. We love their food but I wasn't impressed all around.
(On another strange note: Even our kids mentioned that the chicken on the kids dishes was very sparse ... and they NEVER complain.)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nadia M.Novato, CA853319Sep 9, 2016
That's the only Asian chain my family enjoys the most. Our first waiter their was Pronto and he served us several times. He is a very informative and cooperative person. We love spicy food and he was the one who introduced us to a special sauce it's called Ring of fire. Omg my 7 year old girl loves it, it's spicy but very tasty. Overall food is good. We are a family of four and we order 2 main dishes and it's enough for the whole family even there is always a leftover. Bar side is always full, it seems like drinks are all time free lolz.
Great place to eat .Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - MickYee M.San Francisco, CA410741Oct 21, 2018
We were disappointed in both the service and food. Although the waiter had a good attitude, he was not attentive enough and visible on the floor. So he does get 3.5 stars if the rating was separated...would have been 4 if water cup was not empty often and he was hard to find.
The most disappointing part of the meal was the Singapore Noodles. Traditional Singapore Noodles has curry which this dish did not have...if it did, the soy sauce over powered it. It tasted like soy sauce noodles and it was not sauted enough because the noodles were slightly wet. The green beans with minced meat was good but slightly salty...it seems the theme of the cooking was soy sauce. The fish over a bed of spinach was good but again salty due to the soy sauce. The fish was cooked to perfection but the dish was salty. Finally, the spareribs were really good. Tender and juice....the meat fell off the bone. So out of 4 dishes, the ribs were excellent, the Singapore Noodles under cooked and salty, the green beans were salty and the fish was salty.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 22, 2016
This place has changed for the better. Service began right when we walked in and server Randy championed our evening like a real pro. The offerings were pleasing and pretty much matched the pictures on the menu.

Take out order takes 2 hours.
Complete chaos at register with angry costumers.
Incomplete ordered and overcharges.
Pass this place up and avoid the stress!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - T F.Castro Valley, CA63291368Jun 21, 2016
Stopped in on our way north, for an early dinner. It was well over 80 degrees outside and we were looking forward to an air conditioned restaurant, only to discover their a/c wasn't working. Front door was open for some air, which really was just hot air blowing in. To add to the heat, they lit all of the candles in the dining room.
Food was meh. What got the two stars was that we were there for happy hour, and you do not have to sit in the bar to order off the happy hour menu. More restaurants should do that.
We ordered the Asian Pear Mojito & the Spiked Tea Lemonade, both refreshing and delicious, for only $6 each. That, and the ice water saved the day!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
