Ever have the idea on your way to a place that it might be a bad idea? After the sandwich shop I picked from the GPS listings ended up being in the Garment District (too crowded, no parking) I went back toward the job and started pulling up listings. Everything else was behind me or too far away. I've seen these $1 places before and was always curious just what they were about.
Pretty bad food is what this one is about. The $1 must refer to individual entrees because the combo I had was $3 +.
Fried rice, chow mein, kung pao chicken. That's what they were called anyway. If I ate 1/16th of it that would be generous. Everything had a strange flavor, and I don't know what was up with those noodle things they tried to pass as chow mein.
Even worse, as I was leaving I saw a pizza/sub place where I probably could have gotten a decent sandwich.
I think I'll go with my instinct next time.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0
