      Jerry e. 3/23/24 2013 Toyota sienna van. had my front and back breaks replaced oil& filter replaced. I have been taking my cars to pep boys 1665 3904 fountain ave Los Angeles ,90029 for a long time.I have been knowing the current manager Michael for for 4years he is the best. assistant manager. hector deserves a lot of praise too. as well as service writer and assistant Herman. you all work as a team to help make sure the customers experience is satisfactory. and I can't thank the mechanic Robert p. enough for doing the good job he does on car. i don't care about any other review. they alway treat me the same "awesome " THIS IS THE ONLY PEP BOYS I WOULD TAKE MY CARS. THANK YOU AGAIN.

      If I could give zero stars I would. I called this location to see if I can drop off my commuter car to do an oil change and fix one of my tires that had a nail in it. They told me to bring the car right away and told me they would be able to finish it within a few hours.

      I dropped the car off at about 9:30am. When I arrived, the guy seemed go have an attitude change from when I spoke to him on the phone and was extremely rude. The guy told me I needed to show proof of paperwork for my commuter car in order to get work done on the car. I told him I dont have any paperwork since the company of the commuter car had told me I just need to drop off the car and Pep Boys should know what to do. (Pep Boys Partners with the company of the commuter car) He then told me I need to call the company or else they would not be able to service my car... I have gone to numerous Pep Boy locations to bring my commuter car and I have never had this problem. Also note I had a flat tire from the nail so I couldnt drive it anywhere else.

      I was there for over an hour trying to call the company to get approval for Pep Boys to service my car until the guy finally said he can insert the information himself to get through approval. He then said it will take a few hours and they will call before they close to come pick up the car.

      They closed at 7:30pm that day. Once it became 4pm I called Pep Boys since I haven't heard from them and they said they finished the oil change and tire but they are waiting for approval of other services that they claimed needed go be done.... They didn't update me about the car or check with me prior to asking the company for these services. They then told me I would need to wait until tomorrow to pick up the car BUT I needed the car for work the next day. Super inconvenient.

      After picking up the car the next day, I noticed the car smelled like something was burning and smoke appeared from the hood. When I pulled over to check, I saw the stick for the oil change was not pushed in all the way and there was oil around the engine.

      Come here to get your car done if you want to be carless for 2 days and risk your engine being damaged and burnt.

      Set an appointment for 1pm today for an oil change, arrived at 12:50, and waited in the empty waiting room. Two other customers had come and gone and I was still waiting. 2 hours later, I checked in with two guys working and chatting and asked how much longer it would be. They didn't even know which car was kind and walked out (I'm assuming to ask someone else? Very disorganized). I asked for my keys back and they had to call another worker to ask where my keys were because they didn't have them. Eventually they found them and no one apologized or explained why I waited for 2 hours without anyone giving me any updates. Oil was never changed.

      Terrible.

      Warranty denied by them ,no customer care....,play with customer .....,close many shop no access to them. ............... ...............................................................................................................very bad business, rude and impolite.......waste time and money

      Had a great experience at Pep Biys tonight- great team! I had faulty brakes and they stayed 30 minutes late to fix them. So kind, right?!

      What's the point of the online appointment system if they didn't even look at the basic maintenance information that I provided with my reservation? Also, I didn't get the sense that the appointment time actually mattered. Poor communication throughout the day. Bonus loss of stars because I was the first customer in the door and the floors were dirty.

      Took months to arrange a replacement tire under warranty and were rude and useless at every step of the journey. Eventually I cut my losses to get the refund on my under warranty tire just so I wouldn't have to deal with them ever again. The worst place especially if you are a female customer.

      I specifically booked an appointment at this shop because I had had positive experiences here in the past. Today's experience totally undercut that.

      They have one person at the service desk. They need to have more. It is unreasonable to arrive at at 7:50 a.m. for an 8:00 appointment and not be assisted until 8:30. Three and a half hours, at 11:30 my car did have all four tires replaced, but the alignment was not completed and no ETA for when it would be. (Still not sure why my car was taken down off the rack and parked in the driveway when the alignment wasn't completed.) I took the alignment off the request, paid for my tires and left. Got it done in 45 minutes at a competitor's shop as a walk-in.

      The customer service here is horrible. Disinterested at best; rude at worst.

      Maybe bring back Bob and Humberto to do some customer service training. You've already lost one customer, maybe you can not lose more.

      If you want to wait 3 hours for an oil change- even if you have an appointment, this is your spot! Never even got the oil change, some people have to work. Waited 3 hours for nothing. This place is a joke.
