A tiny little place hidden away in Grandview, Peking Express is my go to place when I'm craving Fried Rice (which is more often than I care to admit). They have a very convenient drive thru which always seems to move pretty fast.
No complaints about the food! My fried rice always come out hot and I can't write this review without mentioning that it's CHEAP. You can get your usual favorite dishes for 1/2 the half of other Chinese restaurants.
I'll be back the next time I crave some fresh and tasty Fried Rice, which will probably be tomorrow!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bel J.Kansas City, MO1311014Feb 1, 2020

I have been back and it's hit and miss on most items. If you like Pho or any soup for that matter, the soups and pho are great! Boba tea and beverages are also a nice touch. If you get the glass bottle and bring it back on your next visit, you'll get $1 off. The Super meal for $6 is any entree, soup, and an egg roll/crab Rangoon. The egg rolls come
with a lemon sauce that is delicious get it!
The BEST dishes and most ordered are: Mongolian beef, sweet and sour, cho cho beef/chicken teriyaki sticks, and orange chicken. Their general tso, sesame chicken, noodles and most other beef/chicken dishes are just sub par in the same variety of sauces. Generous portions and drink sizes. Amazing service. Bring quarters for cute toy dispensers if you dine in (it's never busy inside). Drive thru open until 10 PM. DoorDash postmates deliver until 9 PM. It's gone downhill the past 10 years or so. You can order online. They also now have pho here which is alright, better compared to most places in the metro. They also offer boba tea and have the nicest ladies who work here. Portion sizes are very adequate. They also have super meal lunch special $6.95 egg roll, soup, and one entree. The crab Rangoon's and egg rolls are dry, don't order them. The cho cho is good. Sweet and sour is not worth it, best chicken is either the chicken and veggies or orange chicken here. Mongolian beef is good here, beef and broccoli is alright as well. Egg drop soup is one of the best in the metro. It's the best Chinese in Grandview but still not the best I've had, it used to be excellent, but hasn't really lived up to what it was 10 years ago. If things don't pick up I'd go to ray town China Town.

Their egg drop soup was good but when I ordered the sweet-and-sour pork with fried rice it was the most dull and boring food I've ever had I ended up basically feeding it to the dogs when I got home.

Our food was so delicious! The egg rolls and the sauce they make for them are literally the best. We are going back tonight for dinner, affordable and definitely delicious!

I'll drive 15+ minutes out of the way to stop here. Each time I've ordered the Pho, it's so delicious and they include all the extras (soup spoon, fork, chopsticks, napkins, sriracha, hoisin sauce, bean sprouts, etc...) which is really well put together! Every dish I've had is really tasty and always a good sized portion. The boba can be hit or
miss depending on the day but the food is such a good value.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Desi G.San Bernardino, CA56306Feb 18, 2020
Really good strawberry boba tea! Crab rangoon are yummy. I usually get the chicken and veg or Kung pao. (Although the Kung Pao they use thigh meat which I'm not a fan of) Fried rice is tasty. I like this place better than anything else I have tasted so far out here and they are super cheap. When I want Chinese I go the 45 minutes out of my way to go here. Always fresh.

I've been eating here for 20 yrs and it's still one of my favorite Chinese restaurants! Their food is always so fresh tasting and full of flavor. Their prices have always been very reasonable. I live in Raymore and noticed last few yrs a couple of local Chinese restaurants have gone up in price and down in quality. It's comforting to know I always have Peking Express just a couple exits down 71hwy.
Did I mention they have a Drive-thru window!!? Which I find very convenient on those nights I want to hop in my car, pajamas and all, to get my Chinese fix! Like tonight when it's 2 degrees out and my son and I just want some great Chinese and Netflix.
You'll love their huge menu variety. And if you're a boba tea fan, you're in for a treat! Large selection of made to order boba smoothies and teas with all sorts of add-ins to choose from (tapioca boba, blueberry boba, milk pudding, just to name a few). Their chicken teriyaki on a stick is one of my favorites! It's on the appetizer menu but I always get the 4 piece portion and add a side of fried rice. My son loves their lo mein and egg rolls (served with a pineapple dipping sauce that is heaven!) You'll never want regular sweet n sour sauce again!
The pictures i've included are: shrimp spring roll, chicken teriyaki, chicken egg roll, strawberry banana smoothie w tapioca boba.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michael G.Kansas City, MO1145Sep 17, 2016
Favorite for me and my wife. We usually drive through. Even though we go at least 2x monthly we still consider it a treat.
TV is always blasting news network, but other than that I like dining in. It is all windows on 3 sides and there is plenty of natural light. If they would either mute the TV or just rid of it it would be perfect.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Whit S.Joplin, MO72244May 13, 2016
So I love Chinese food. Probably a fight for my favorite food spot. This place is amazing. General chicken is all white meat with big chunks of fresh broccoli. Huge portion of fried rice. An amazing egg roll. Big cup of egg drop soup. All for only 6.50 people!! That is an all day/every day deal! Best Chinese in the kc metro area in little ole Grandview! Skip the buffet across the street and try this!!
