About the Business
We are a family owned & operated restaurant. We have been voted best breakfast in Reno for 13+ years. In addition to traditional items, we have a variety of breakfast options: skillet breakfasts - our huevos rancheros are one of our most popular dishes, Hawaiian plates - loco moco, teriyaki pork chops & even spam & our benedicts are topped with house-made hollandaise. We also serve a full lunch menu. Peg's has something for everyone!

I've been to the one in South Reno. The service is always friendly and the food is always good. If you go on a weekend, be prepared to wait if you get there after 830 though. It is popular for a reason and the line shows it. They offer coffee for those waiting as they know it can sometimes be upwards of 45 minutes.
Peg's worth the wait in my opinion.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Brett M.CA, CA01Mar 10, 2024
Great food and service. My team and I were in town for a conference. Yelp search showed high reviews and it did not disappoint. I had the hash and eggs, cooked perfectly.

We found Peg's (downtown location) on our recent trip to Reno. The place is unassuming but, they hit breakfast out of the park! First I noticed this place was packed and what I thought would be a 30 minute wait was only 5. The staff is on it as they hustle , hospitable and extremely efficient. They have an excellent variety of offerings and when I see Hawaiian style breakfast, it is a must try for me. I like to consider myself a connoisseur of said style breakfasts! The Portuguese sausage (Linguiça) was perfect not greasy. The spam was cooked to perfection as well and sticky rice on point. My wife and daughter had the old stand by, bacon and eggs. Service was top notch if I didn't already say it and the food was excellent. We will definitely be back next time we are in Reno. Bravo Peg's! Bravo! Best breakfast I have ever had!
PS: I never knew they received the "Best Breakfast in America" by Esquire magazine in October, 2007Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Tracey L.TX, TX01055Apr 22, 2024
Every time I visit Reno, Peg's is one of my favorite go to spots. The staff is always cheerful and you are promptly seated, there's also a good amount of seating inside and outside. Peg's definitely has a diner feel, that's very family friendly.
I got the pancakes and Hawaiian breakfast plate. The pancakes are huge, but the real star is the Portuguese sausage. I love the sausage with rice, it's the right amount of snap.
I will definitely be back again!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 2, 20241 check-in
Hello!
First time here, friendly folks, great and quick service.
Parking on the street or structure if available.
Tried the Loco Moco $8.99 and it was a large plate, decent amount of food, but it tasted like one hamburger patty drenched over brown gravy. The Loco Moco was not up to par, but the scramble eggs and macaroni was good. This dish was mediocre.
Next, the Eggs Benedict $10.99 was better, fresh, tasteful, and spot on with the eggs and yolk pouring out once sliced. delicious, and I do recommend this dish (don't for get the hot sauce).
If you're looking for a quick breakfast fix, check this spot out.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Christina G.CA, CA668548Feb 8, 2024
First Time here to this place , visited a friend in Reno and he brought us here, honest review here I come.
Food was good and in good portions
Service was less than Satisfactory
I asked for a small side of ranch and she said that would cost me $1 ...umm for a drop of Ranch? What?
Anyway My friend and I received Gastric bypass surgery and have a dr card we can receive smaller portions upon request or kids menus if needed. It's considered a " medical condition " My friend and I asked for a kids menu and the waiter said "you're not children we don't serve kids menus to adults" .. oh lawrd... we were not asked if we'd like refills and we had to ask for silverware after our food arrived which we were missing plates and had to ask for what we were missing ... we will not be returning to this restaurant again.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 2 - Apr 16, 2024
Was in town in Reno and wanted a place for breakfast. This place caught my attention as it had quite the exciting menu. Went with the hash corned beef. I must say it may have been the best hash corned beef I have tasted especially with all the ingredients that came with it. The hash browns were perfectly crisp and flavorful. Had a side of pancakes and it paired nicely. Along with the good food came the great service. The young waitress that assisted me that day was very attentive and made my experience very enjoyable. Will have it mind to back to try other items.

I apologize for not taking any pictures, but I have to say that this restaurant is the best place for breakfast in Reno. As soon as we walked in, a friendly employee greeted us and showed us to a table for two. Shortly after, our waitress came over and provided us with water and coffee. She was extremely attentive and explained the menu to us. It only took approximately six minutes from the time we placed our order for our food to arrive at our table. The food was hot, delicious, and the portions were very generous. I highly recommend this restaurant for a wonderful breakfast experience. Both my friend and I kept talking about our meal throughout the day, and our experience was truly memorable.

After passing by many times, we decided to try it. They were busy.
There were a lot of selections. Everything brought out looked very large. We ordered Spanish breakfast which came out on a tray. Hash brown was grilled crisp with sausage and eggs. We had to take some home.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Terri B.Stillwater, MN97258Apr 21, 2024
The first morning we drove by and there was a line out the door. The second morning we walked right in. The place isn't big, but their menu is. The French toast monte cristo...was SO good! The biscuits and gravy were filling, but maybe a little bland for our liking. This place is one we will definitely visit again our next time in Reno!
