We came to Peel Wood Fired Pizza on the recommendation of a local and this meal checked all the boxes.

Located in the downtown district, this two story restaurant has cool architectural features. The building has been a bowling alley, skating rink and printing press at one time.

Although this place makes great beer, we wanted to check out the craft cocktails. We'd recommend the Blue Note Martini and the Gin and Basil Martini. Both served in large martini glasses.

We started with the Garlic Cheese Ciabatta. The flavor and texture were awesome as were the dipping sauces.

The 11 inch thin crust pizza was amazing. We tried the Margherita and Sausage. Both were perfectly prepared and oh so tasty.

I wanted to try their Wood Fired Wings. The Honey Chipotle were super delish with just the right amount of char and heat. Great flavor and juicy.

Even though we were full, the Wood Fired Apple Pie was calling my name. Incredible!

Great food, excellent service and a fun place to dine at.

Came here with my step kids and husband. We did have a bit of a wait, but it was nice outside. So it didn't bother us. They add you to a wait list that can text you once your table is ready. They have ample seating arrangements. Pricing is about average for a place such as this

They have a main bar and you can see in the front kitchen on what they are making. We decided to order two different pizzas. That way the kids split one and the other between my husband and I.

I ordered their moscato wine, which was good. Too good, I had to have one more glass! We also had shareable food prior. Their garlic bread was really good. It comes with marinara sauce and Parmesan cream cheese. The other appetizer was the wood fired stuffed mushrooms.

We enjoyed our pizzas. We had the trio and the kids did the buffalo. Our service was great and the food came out in a timely manner. I did find out, they have a 3rd location, which is in Clayton, MO. Only know of O"Fallon and Edwardsville iL. They do share parking with other local shops and bars near by. So we did have to park a little bit away.

We visited on a holiday weekend and a Friday night. They said the wait would be 40 min but ended up only like 25. They text your phone and you can see your place in line and keep track.
I like the ambiance of this place and the street has lights overhead and just has a cool vibe.
The food is just so good! The maple bourbon wings were absolutely to die for. I will order the speciality pizza that has that flavor next time because the wings were just so good! We had what they did air was the "most popular" appetizer and they were delicious! It's called the prosciutto involtini. It's like their pizza dough wrapped around prosciutto and it's like small delicious pizza bites. It comes with really great sauces. The Parmesan and red sauce was my favorite.
I had a small house salad which was good and we had a build your own pizza 2 toppings. We choose pineapple and bacon. Their bacon came on the wings. Wow! It's really good! The pizza was very tasty but I loved the maple bourbon sauce so much on the wings, that next time I will order that pizza. The pizza dough must be mentioned. It is so good! You can tell it is homemade and everything is fire grilled.
It's not exactly a cheap pizza restaurant but it is worth it! We had an appetizer, a salad, 6 wings and a pizza and 2 drinks for about $70. So that's really alot of food.
We will be going back very soon!

Came to Illinois visiting for work. Asked a few of the locals where I should venture to and they suggested Peel Pizza. We walked in and were immediately greeted. It wasn't busy at all so the waitress let us pick where we wanted to sit. I chose near the bar as basketball was on. There is a nice full size tv there. I ordered the Trio which came with pepperoni, bacon and sausage. It was about 16 inches and thin crust. Came out hot and was pretty good. I'd definitely give them a shot again if I'm back in the area.

Stopped in for Happy Hour which is hard to find in Southern Illinois. Really good and reasonably priced choices for happy hour food and drink. Enjoyed some delicious potato skins and a blue lemonade cocktail. Yum! Looked over the regular menu and ordered a wild mushroom pizza to go. They will do a gf pizza and it's delicious! Bar service friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the casual atmosphere and were joined by many others! Great location in Old O'Fallon.

Peel Wood Fired Pizza is such a treat in downtown O'Fallon, IL. The service is always exceptional! I've been there several times and have tried their wings, Caesar salad, buffalo Mac n' cheese, and several of their pizzas and I'm never disappointed. My favorite pizza by far is the Philly cheesesteak - please make this permanent! The restaurant is two floors. They have steps and/or an elevator towards the back of the restaurant. The restaurant is warm and inviting. This is a great spot for date nights, casual dinners with friends, or celebratory gatherings.

My partner and I are visiting from Arizona. I'm actually impressed with the food. I am not a big eat the entire wing person but when I took my first bite of the wings I knew for sure it was the best wing I have ever had! We also had the potato wedges( not pictured) absolutely divine! The flight was such a great price, I couldn't turn down a great sample & they were absolutely amazing. Thank you to the waiter for recommending the Perception IPA as well. I'm a pizza girl & this pizza was one of my top 3 favorites !!! The waiter came around with a visual tray of the chefs desserts and let me tell you it was brilliant !!! The cheesecake is to die for !!

Thank you PEEL for a great experience.

Peel is amazing!! We are visiting from out of state and absolutely loved our lunch today. We sat at the beautiful bar upstairs and were immediately greeted by our friendly bartender/server. My partner and I both ordered beers brewed in house. I had the Moonlight IPA. It was a nice lighter IPA which was a little surprise but still delicious.
We shared 2 pizzas that were both out of this world good. The first was the Prosciutto. Lots of salty prosciutto, roasted garlic and sliced potatoes on an olive oil sauce. I absolutely loved this pizza.
The second was the Balsamic chicken. Again, they hit a home run!

Peel is a beautiful restaurant/bar and we will definitely be visiting again next time we're in town.

We went tonight for a birthday dinner. Peel is a really cool restaurant in the old part of town. Ofallon has done a lot of nice updates downtown and Peel really compliments the area.

I had a cuban sandwich with a pear raspberry salad. The sandwich was ok but the salad was so good! We also had the pretzel rolls. You can't go wrong there. Spicy mustard sauce and Parmesan cream to dip them in is perfect. Try the Nutella s'more pizza for dessert! The birthday girl got a complimentary slice of cherry cheesecake. She didn't even think she liked cheesecake until she tried this one! The server was wonderful even though he must walk a million miles a day going up and down all their stairs! It's a great casual experience place to grab dinner.
