The food and drinks were great! I started off with a Hennessy Peach Margarita and a crab cake. Yes, you heard me, one crab cake for $10-12. Which is surprising to me because everywhere I've been before you at least get 2 if you order crab cakes. Why have a (s) on the menu if you only giving one? . Welp I wasn't allowing it to ruin my mood. However, the crab cake was tasteful and fried just right.
As for the waitress, she was mediocre. She recommended the food and i liked. Her service and attention towards our table was . Ms Nene is the name of i can recall. Hell by the end of the night i bought so many drinks (sooooo amazing), I lowkey forgot her name. Nene sounds about right tho.
For dinner i got the Atlantic salmon and it didn't come with a side for $20 dollars... Maybe i didn't read that part of the menu correct but wtf i look like just eating a Slab of salmon. So i ordered more drinks and started eating my friend sides with him. Them sweet potatoes were sooooooo damn bomb.com, i need that recipe! ASAP!
I'll return on another occasion, hoping to gain a better experience with customer service. The food is to die for.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sharon M.Atlanta, GA108102326Nov 10, 2018
Can't really figure out why I don't come here more often. I mean it's just a few blocks from me. I gotta get my life!
I visited right before lunch and was the first in. Service was quick and the fried lobster tails as an app were bomb good! I followed those up with the salmon sliders which were just as good. Not anything to complain about here.
There's paid parking and also street parking which is free - first come first serve. Like I said it's a few blocks from me but just something to keep in mind for those of you driving into Castleberry Hill.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shiane G.Atlanta, GA21575Sep 30, 2019Updated review
I loved coming to this restaurant. I would come at least once a month to get some really good seafood! The food was always delicious. I am very sad that it is no longer open.
I used to always order the shrimp boil with corn on the cob on the side.
I tried the fried lobster tail for the first time and it was delicious. I was looking forward to ordering it again.
The service was usually really slow but the food always seemed to make up fr it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Sep 25, 2019Previous reviewI am seriously going to miss this restaurant. I loved to order the shrimp boil!! The crab legs were always delicious and although the service is usually very slow, the food is always great.

The food was soooo good here!! I ordered the salmon sliders with shrimp fried rice. My friend ordered the same dish but with macaroni & cheese . I had a taste of her macaroni & cheese and it was just as good as my food was. I was thoroughly impressed by how good the food was. The only complaints I have about the restaurant are the drinks. The "strawberry lemonade" I was served was pretty nasty it wasn't sweet or flavorful at all. The staff was kind of slow as well, I went pre pandemic so it was fairly packed when I went. The ambiance was pretty cool because of the lounge they have attached literally right next to the restaurant. I have to be honest though, the seating is very intimate and close to others in the restaurant.

If you know anything about Atlanta then you know Castleberry Hill is the middle of the hood. So don't ask me why I ended up here but my cousin brought me here. I didn't really have any expectations for Pearl but I did like how the storefront looked. We ran into a few friends and sat in the front with them. The booth was cool, there was a tv and a guy doing hookah.
We decided to do some hookah and it was the worst ever. It was burning really fast and it was overpriced. Just like the food. Overpriced and just wack. I ordered a pearltini; two actually and both tasted like diabetes in a pretty glass. The crab cake was about the size of my palm and lacking basic seasoning. The macaroni and cheese was nasty and the fries were cold.
Our server would disappear forever and then come back forgetting things. The checks took forever to come. It's like this place has potential but they've got it so wrong. Starting with the food and the service. I would never return.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Kristen H.Atlanta, GA3371612Jul 28, 2018
THE FOOD IS amazing!!! However, the wait for food and drinks and is ridiculous! The server should communicate with her guests! I would definitely come back, but the wait has to be improved upon. I work in the restaurant industry so I completely understand kitchen staff being short or there being some short of backup, but communication is everything.
Update: Matter fact, order your food to go!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nikka S.Marietta, GA38245479Mar 10, 2017
It's called the Pearl Lounge, but my dining experience was anything but a treasured one as I spent most of the evening "clutching" my pearls in shock at how bad this place was. I'll explain.
For my entree I had the grilled salmon with a side of mac & cheese. Seems like a simple enough dish. Well, the salmon was a tad dry, and by "tad" I mean Sahara desert. Not to mention someones locks were stranded on my plate...literally. There was hair on my plate! The mac & cheese was very lumpy, and the chef went a little overboard on the cheese sauce as it was runny and not very tasty at all.
As a result of hair-gate, our waitress swapped my salmon for another entree, compliments of the chef of course, but neither I nor our waitress knew exactly what it was. I was told it might be some sort of crab dish, but since it was literally blanketed under a mound of cheese I couldn't be certain. The chef (and I'm using this title loosely) also presented us with some sort of beef thingy on EXTRA toasted bread and topped with pickled onions. I have no clue what this dish aspired to be, but I do know that it was super salty and for the life of me I could not seem to carve into the overly toasted bread. Needless to say I decided to spare my taste buds any further torment and opted out of any future bites. Unfortunately my entire meal was more fishy than fab.
There was A LOT of bad happening here. Oh, did I mention that my glass was really scratched up. I mean REALLY scratched up. This might have been the result of some poor patron trying to claw their way outta this place. If you ever find yourself at Pearl Lounge be aware of all nearby exits, and most importantly, plan an escape route. Consider yourself warned.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Zoey H.Atlanta, GA21964Jul 14, 2019

Nice environment, the alcohol pricing is very reasonable, my host was friendly and the food was largely served and very fulfilling.
Cons
Parking in limited and the lounge could be larger for the convenience of the crowd
We will return in the futureHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Whitley W.Smyrna, GA1972031Jul 1, 2019
Seating was swift, the food was great, service was too. Very clean establishment . Only things that gave me pause were pricing (a little high) and the way seating was set up. You will be very close to your neighbors. Otherwise highly recommend!
