Absolutely awful to live under this management company. I lived in my apartment for many years and NEVER had the issues i have had since peak management took over the complex. They did a renovation and have left rusty wrought iron, rubble, trash, piles of tree branches and dirt in main walkways where kids play. when i call the office no one ever returns my calls, the property manager is unbelievably rude (clarie, god help you if you have to speak with this awful woman) and the office staff is equally worthless. I was without running hot water in my bathroom for over a month and one of my neighbors went 2 months without air conditioning!!!! Good luck finding anyone in the office and since no one calls back youre stuck wondering if anyone even remotely cares. Since they have taken over chelsea village (formerly known as kona kai) the west complex has pretty much been vacated. No one wants to live here with awful staff like they have such DISGUSTING disregard for the safety and comfort of their tenants. STAY AWAY!!!!!!

On August 7th 2015 I came home to a packet of things on my door that said that my apartment complex, The Pines, was now a part of Peak Management. It had pages of new "rules" for the complex like that we had to go pay a pet fee of $300 and $25 a month per pet, and that any curtains had to be white among a whole lot of other things. Then yesterday, August 10th my car had a tag from Peak Management that claimed my car was "not in approved condition" and was going to be towed at noon today August 11th, and most cars in the apartment complex lot had infraction notices on them. Also today I came home to an envelope on my door saying that we had failed to pay rent for the month and that we had until Friday to pay or they would begin proceeding with eviction. We have proof that we paid rent on the 3rd of August and we are going to take it to their office. The ENTIRE complex got these notes, is it realistic that an entire complex wouldn't pay their rent? No I do not think so, and when we called to make an appointment to show them rent receipts instead of the lady that answered the phone making appointments they transferred me to an answering machine to leave a message that then someone is supposed to call back about making an appointment. I cannot confirm its validity but another tenant was outside and said that one of the people from Peak Management that was here today basically said that they want to make all the current tenants hate them so that tenants move out and they can remodel and charge more for the apartments. My family lives in the apartment we do because I have bad credit and can't get into places that require a credit check and so if this company wants to change all these things and do credit checks on everyone I think most people who live in my complex are not going to pass a credit check but if they then try to push us out I know for a fact that most of us are not going to go silently into the night and just move out. Now like I said we just received official word last week that the complex is now under Peak Management but if this the amount of stuff they do in less than a week I fear for what they are going to do in the future.
I may come back and update this if things change.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Edward M.Los Angeles, CA01Nov 18, 2015
As an out of town owner of apartments, i signed a contract with Peak Management to manage my apartments. Biggest mistake of my life. They didn't honor terms of the contract, charged for all kind of services related to their business operation (taxes, bookkeeping, mileage reimbursements, leasing, payroll, etc) and statements provided were literally impossible to track the property income and expenses. When contract was terminated my accounting showed that they owed me approximately $3,000 dollars. Have not been able to get a call from the management regarding my demand letter. Apartment owners take notice.
