    About the Business

Established in 2010. This is Peace Coffee's first coffee shop. Just like the roastery/wholesale side of our business, the coffee shop is also owned by the local non-profit, the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy. Their support, combined with a talented and hardworking team of Peace Coffee staff, friends, family, artists, craftspeople and allies transformed a raw, dusty vacant corner building into a colorful, welcoming & energizing coffee shop!…

One of my favorite coffee shops in the Twin Cities area. It is cheery with an energy that feels creative and happy. When I grab a seat indoors, there are usually several people working (computers out, headsets on). Other tables are used for meeting, friends or co-workers, the vibe is positive, productive and fun.

Coffee is great and presented so artistically. I like staying in to get it in a big mug (no tippy cups if I have the time to enjoy).

I haven't eaten anything here yet but there are several pastries, oatmeal, and soup to choose from. It all looks good but I'm usually here for the coffee.

      Staff is friendly.

Stay for a cup and take some beans with you for home.

This is my second time here and I can't believe I haven't done a review yet!

I love this hipster, chill coffee shop! The coffee is soooo good! Cool indie alt music is playing. I absolutely love the ambience, decor, comfort of hanging out for either business or pleasure!

The baristas are great! They're friendly, welcoming and helpful with recommendations. I asked my barista about the Dear Diary drink and he made me his own off-menu favorite version of it and it's delicious! It tastes like a creamy, not too sweet, cherry and oat latte. I need more of this in my life!

      Overall, definitely worth a stop!

I really enjoyed my visit at Peace!
I thought the atmosphere and the environment was inviting, warm, and fun, and I loved the variety of seating that was available. I also really appreciated the separate space that was available for groups to reserve. It really seemed to me that Peace is a coffeehouse that caters to guests who are trying to get work done, which I thought was really respectable.
I also really enjoyed my vanilla oat milk latte I ordered, it was delicious!
I would rate Peace a 4.5, not a 4, as I liked their atmosphere and their coffee, but they were slightly pricey ($6 for 12oz).
      Definitely recommend!

Funky and bright coffee shop in the Longfellow area of Minneapolis. Came here for some sort of an iced coffee concoction to help beat the surprisingly sweltering heat outdoors. The service was very pleasant and the drink itself was well crafted and tasty. Looks like the cafe is decorated with different pieces of art from local artists, and it's numerous tabletops would lead me to think that this is a great place to do work in. There is an adjoining workshop area where you can apparently take a coffee brewing class in.

Overall, it's a nice place to grab a good cup of joe at. I did see that they offered some food items, but I didn't get to partake in any of them. I would presume that they're all pretty good, though, given the quality of the coffee I had.

Do you ever find yourself avoiding coffee shops because it's super intimidating and slightly pretentious? Well then, you're probably like me and I'm here to tell you that Peace Coffee is none of those things.

For a coffee shop, it's quite roomy. I always feel so cramped in other shops having to squeeze my way behind people and tables hoping I don't knock someone's drink over. PC has lots of seating room and lots of space to hang around. Oh, and on top of that -- the baristas are so, so nice and helpful! I mean, you won't ever get the stink eye or feel small and wanna die inside from the baristas here. At least three baristas made eye contact and smiled at me. That's pretty rare. Small note if they ever read this: thank you and I love y'all :'~)

I should also probably mention the coffee, but I don't consume coffee so I can't say much but the person I was with said the coffee was good so....it's good. There ya have it.

10/10 real good coffee paired with non-pretentious vibes. A coffee shop that you can definitely get down with!

Saturday morning at Peace Coffee Shop seems to be the thing to do. The first thing I noticed was that there is plenty of street parking, though you may not get a spot right in front of the door.

Once I park, it was time to go on in. And, I did! And, the ambience is perfect. There is lots of color, the music isn't too loud, and there is a community room for groups of people who meet for conversation. This means, the rest of the place tends to be folks just being creative and reading, and such.

I ordered a soy vanilla latte. It was the perfect temperature to just dig right in. What I loved about this latte is that it really showcased the taste of the mighty espresso bean. Though, I do love a sweeter vanilla latte, I also appreciate one that sacrifices sweetness for appreciating the taste of the espresso.

Much to my dismay, I saw sold Sift pastries. If you are keeping track of my other reviews, you'll know that I am not a fan. However, I was super hungry. I decided to bite the bullet and order a double chocolate donut, which is both gluten-free and vegan. Though it was a heart shattering $3.50 for a pretty modest sized treat, it was good. And, the sweetness of the donut balanced out the less sweet latte.

I definitely look forward to going back. Though, I will probably make sure I am not hungry before I go. I just can't see making a ritual out of spending way too much for really small pastries.

When I drive down Minnehaha Ave near Peace Coffee, even if en route to someplace else, my car takes over. It slows, pulls up to the curb, and turns off - it knows me well. My go-to coffee shop beverage is an americano, and because I drink 90% decaf (don't roll your eyes at me! ;) I do not order what usually turns out to be subpar brewed coffee...EXCEPT at Peace Coffee. Their coffee is rich, flavorful, and tastes like a real treat. (When I venture into latte town, I love that they have awesome house-made syrup - such as blueberry and lavender.) Because of the consistently high-quality products, I, er.., my car can't help, but stop when we're nearby.

This location is named Wonderland Park. From the first time I walked in, (Whoa! Has it really been 5+ yrs?!) I appreciated the design aesthetic and feel of the space. At the risk of sounding corny as hell, it was "cool." Yet, I have not felt uncomfortable nor self-conscious about my un-coolness. Ultimately, it's a fun place and I enjoy hanging out. For me, the music they play is an attraction, too. I'm not skilled at music-labeling, but - with it playing in the background - I easily settle in to the pleasing ambient-rich songs.

In warm weather, there are chairs and tables on the sidewalk outside their front door. It's a friendly spot to spend time with friends or relax on your own. Outdoor seating is a beloved MN commodity, so it can be a challenge to score an open table. It's definitely worth stopping by and checking out for yourself, and sitting inside is still an appealing option. Either way, you can't go wrong.

There's a limited food menu. The morning offerings include granola and yogurt; in the afternoon, you'll find soup. All-day options are primarily baked goods, including gluten-free. (This is not an exhaustive list - it includes the items I have tried.) Everything I've eaten has been quality and tasty.

I visit a lot of coffee shops, and Peace Coffee is a neighborhood - and Twin Cities - gem with attentive, knowledgable staff, a well-executed brand, ethical mission statement, and community involvement.

Peace Coffee is in a quieter area which is nice. Seating is cozy and plentiful. Coffee taste in my opinion is slightly above average but nothing spectacular. Peace is a good spot to catch up with a friend or to get some work done.

Peace is so colorful and caffeinated, which makes for a great work space. It's evident that the general public agrees, because when I walked in on a weekday morning, there were not many vacant seats to choose from.

When I first came in, I was hungry and in need of caffeine. WATCH OUT. I was disappointed that there were not many breakfast options - just oatmeal and baked goods. I was hoping for a b-fast sandwich and some meat to start the morn', but the everything bagel I got was good. I got a seasonal special, "Harvest Moon Latte" - I for sure felt "basic" haha, but it was well worth it! It tasted like real pumpkin, not like god knows what comes out of the pumps of other places. It was also not too sweet and had depth to it (not just sugar and milk). What I DID find super sweet there were... the employees! Zinnnnng.

There is a little parking lot out back, a patio in the front, and the bathrooms are located in the hallway at the back of the shop.
