Patty's Cakes and Desserts

My husband and I were referred to Patty's Cakes by our day-of wedding coordinator and caterer, Café Hidalgo's Dena David. Thank you Dena for the introduction! And a million thanks to Patty and Philip from Patty's Cakes for the wedding cake of our dreams! We had a vintage travel-themed wedding and we came to Patty with the request for vintage luggage-looking cakes and cupcakes. She enthusiastically agreed to take on the challenge and we are so grateful she did. They were beautiful beyond words! And what delicious cakes they were too - soft, moist and not too sweet, just the way we love them! Our family and friends raaaaaaaaaved about the cakes as did my husband and I. The luggage cakes came out even more amazing than we had imagined it would. Thank you Patty's Cakes for making our dream travel-themed wedding come alive!

I wanted to leave a 10 star review if I could for Patty's Cakes & Desserts. I live in Fullerton and have purchased cupcakes, and other desserts from them before. My company wanted to order for our teams (400 employees total). I put the order in and got it confirmed right away. There was a bit of confusion on my side of the delivery time & date. I contacted Patty's and Philip responded to let me know "we will make it happen" and they did. The desserts were delicious, and everyone enjoyed!

"Usually people don't eat the frosting, but here at Patty's Cakes we aim to have the entire cake eaten!"

Something along those lines are what we were told during our cake tasting, and the testament rang true! I'm not a huge sweets person and I'm always one to wipe the frosting off of my cakes haha! But all of Patty's Cakes cakes are a perfect amount of not too sweet--from the frosting to the cake itself. It's one of the only cakes where I can eat the whole thing!

My MIL told us about Patty's Cakes when we were searching for a cake vendor for our wedding. We scheduled a tasting and we were pleased with the cake tasting and service we received! We went with red velvet for our wedding cake and it was absolutely delicious!! We had a 5 tier cake with simple horizontal lines (our florist added flowers around the cake) for a guest count of about 262 that totaled to be $1045. Some guests asked if our cake was fake and if only one layer was real - it was perfect!

We rescheduled our wedding multiple times due to COVID, and Philip was super accommodating each time! Thank you Philip and the Patty's Cake team!

We had Patty's Cakes as one of the wedding vendors included in a package we picked through our venue at Coyote Hills Golf Course. Before our tasting, we decided to take it upon ourselves to try their cupcakes to make sure we chose the right vendor. We ordered their top 6 cupcakes and some cake balls to share with friends and everyone agreed that each one was delicious! Every cupcake was incredibly moist and not overly sweet. Our favorites were the lemon drop and the smores cupcake.

Once our tasting date approached, we met with Philip who made the experience fun and pleasant. We were given samples of each frosting, each cake flavor, and suggested pairings of each one. When we had trouble deciding, Philip was there every step of the way to offer up any help and suggestions. The whole process was easy from A-Z.

On our wedding day, the cake was delivered on time and was exactly what was ordered. I even got a text letting me know when the cake was on the way and when it was delivered which is a small but very impactful communication to include. It was one less thing for me to worry about on my wedding day. We chose to do the half naked cake design because not only do we love that style but we know our guests don't like a lot of frosting so it was the perfect choice. We were warned that because there isn't as much frosting that the cake could potentially be on the drier side but that was not the case AT ALL. It was still wonderfully moist and the cake turned out beautifully with our flowers.

I definitely would recommend Patty's Cake as a vendor or even just in general. If you ever have a sweet tooth, this bakery has got you covered!

We ordered 48 hours in advanced and were so excited because we've heard nothing but good things about this place and unfortunately,we were not happy with the outcome. We requested sprinkles on the side of the cake and SIMPLE 2 word message. For the price point, it was NOT worth it. We could have literally picked one up from the grocery last min,with the same outcome. The written message was sloppy and it had absolutely no sprinkles on the side as requested. Never again.

We had an amazing experience last year with Patty's Cakes for our wedding in October. Philip assisted us during our cake tasting in the summer and he was very helpful. We were able to choose cake flavors and fillings to try. We ended up choosing strawberry cake with guava filling and it was AMAZING. The icing isn't too sweet so that it doesn't overpower the taste of the cake, which was perfect. We were so happy with how it turned out!

If you're planning to get married at Summit House, or anywhere in Orange County for that matter, look no further for your wedding cake! Patty's Cakes are such professionals and their experience really shows! On the day of our wedding, they brought the cake in, set it up and was out. We wanted to thank them but they were such ninjas about it that we didn't even see them leave! One moment the cake table was empty, the second, there was a three tier cake! We got so much grief from family about making sure the cake wasn't too sweet and satisfied the asian palette, so we opted for white cake with raspberry filling and Bavarian custard, and chocolate with raspberry filling snd Bavarian custard. Guests raved about how moist the cake was! Even our 84 year old grandma said she finished her slice of cake because it was that good!

We're also so glad that Philip (he helped us during the tasting) suggested that we go with a 3 tier cake. We went in thinking, no, don't get anything bigger than a 2 tier, but he suggested going bigger because 1) it would compliment the floor to ceiling windows at Summit House and 2) it would fit the headcount anyways! Made our cake look even grander in photos and in person!

My husband and I were in search of a well-respected wedding cake vendor that fit our budget & delivered to our venue, and Patty's Cakes checked all the boxes. Their online pricing was very straightforward, and we were able to set up a tasting in about 2 weeks. We met with Philip, who graciously walked us through their flavors, design options and pricing. We reviewed our guest count and wedding theme, and he gave helpful suggestions without being too pushy. It was great to have a private space to review the look books and taste the cake/frosting/fillings. Deciding from their many flavor combos was the hardest part of the whole process! We actually decided to add a second flavor option about a month after placing our order, and were able to make the adjustment easily.

FYI: For a 3-tier wedding cake, Patty's provides a cake stand and pillars that should be returned within a few days (otherwise they would keep the deposit). This is a great option, just something to plan for in advance if you don't live in the area.

On the big day, delivery was quick and seamless. We got so many compliments about the cake! We were able to save a bit to enjoy at home, and it stayed fresh even a few days later. Thanks so much for being such a sweet part of our big day!

Patty's Cakes are amazing! We did a cake tasting a few months before our wedding & Philip was super helpful during the process. We got a 2 tier cake that was strawberry with vanilla custard & ordered a few different cupcakes! They were a hit! I would definitely use them again for a party or even stop by for a cupcake when I'm ever back in the area.

When I knew I was getting married, it was a no brainer that Pattys Cakes would be the baker for my wedding since I had been friends with Philip for many years. What I did not realize was how delicious and inventive their cake flavors would be. We were excited and a bit overwhelmed with what to choose, but Philip helped out and we could not have been more pleased. The entire team at Patty's Cakes have been nothing but professional and pleasant to work with as it shows with their many accomplishments and awards throughout the years. We decided to make our own cake topper but it looked amazing with the 4 tier cake we had chosen.
Our guests had nothing but good things to say about our flavor choices which were chocolate with raspberry filling and lemon with blueberry filling. I highly recommend Pattys Cakes. You will not be disappointed.

Wowowow! Philip and the Patty's team came in clutch with some absolutely delicious cupcakes, cake and cake balls! This place is the epitome of a well-oiled machine that has adjusted to the current times.

Last minute, we decided to have a drive-thru birthday for our son to stay safe and wanted something tasty to have for family who stops by. We ordered Patty's online on Friday night and were able to schedule delivery for the very next day. That's not even the best part!! I got a phone call from Philip the next morning to discuss my order to make sure they got everything right and I was ordering what I needed. It was a great conversation and super helpful. Being even more last-minute, I called him an hour before my delivery time to see if I could add more to my order and he was super accommodating to allow me to do so.

About 15 minutes before my delivery, I got a notification that my driver was on the way with a link to track the status. I met my masked driver out front and she was super sweet! The items were packaged beautifully and exactly what we ordered.

On to the baked goods themselves, I don't know how they do it but everything was very light and airy. Nothing felt heavy. This was awesome but ended bad because I ate 4 cupcakes. Hahaha. We got text messages from friends and family who also said their cupcakes were amazing. There's sooooo many options to choose from, all of which were equally delicious.

Patty's Cakes is going to be the go to for all future events! The cupcakes and customer service are WORLD CLASS. What are you waiting for??! Order some cupcakes NOW! ;)
