Excellent food, generous portions, and great service...in a cute older home!
Had the sausage gravy and biscuits combo with home fries... the gravy was peppery, biscuits, fluffy. Hubby got the hobo...a pile of eggs, home fries, bacon, sausage, cheese and meat hot sauce! Daughter got the lumberjack... which had eggs, sausages & pancakes. All really good, homemade, and served hot!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 16, 2019Updated review
The best way to describe Patties is homey. Kind of like going to your gramas house. There is crafty\cutesy stuff on the walls and it just feels that way.
Been twice, have tried the cannoli french toast which were pretty good, not a huge order.
B-fast quessadillas, different, pretty tasty but felt they were over priced.
In a strange twists the lunch sandwiches came with a ton of fries, my wife enjoyed her chicken finger melt. The breakfast come with like NO homefries. Which sucks, because the homefries are great! BUt seriously they give you like 7 teeny tiny chunks. Why Patties? Take a lesson from Golden Boys.
Tried the country fried steak, was meh ok. Biscuit it came on was reallly good, the steak itself was fine, Just wasn't particularly memorable. About, half the size of cracker barrels for the same price.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Nov 25, 2019Previous reviewPatty, you have been on my list for years. Literally, years. I stumbled on your restaurant online and I thought it looked like a nice place. Kind of cutesy but there were a ton of breakfast options, and... I love breakfast.
Problem was, you always seemed so far off and there were closer options. Well this past weekend I used my birthday prerogative to seek you out and I'm glad I did.
Your were not nearly as far as it looked, we were there in like 10 minutes, but that's Rochester. Everything is 10-20 minutes away.
So I loved the shop, the best part is how affordable the knick-nacks are, a ton were under $10! We did have to wait a while to sit and there is really no where to wait, a few benches would help.
SoSo, the big show , how was the food?
Honestly a little bit of a let down. Drinks were fine, actually my wifes peach Arnold Palmer was very tasty. I got a stack that had a pancake with bacon bits in it, them some scrambled eggs with cheese, another pan cake then a piece of sausage was cooked into the top pancake. It came with a side of potatoes for $1 more. Now I get it, its only a $1 but my side had about 12 less than bite size Pieces of potato. It all tasted ok, I won't be getting it again though.
My wife got a breakfast quesadilla, it was solid, 2 full size tortillas with eggs, cheese and bacon. There were no baked goods or fresh donuts as I'd seen in some pictures, maybe they only do them occasionally?
I think well go again as we did enjoy everything, even if its a bit pricier than I think it should be based on what we got. - Jul 11, 2018
Adorable diner with a classic country feel with regards to decor.
Friendly hospitality with service. Our server was kind and quick to come and ask us for drinks and shortly after took out orders.
Our orders were out quickly within 10 mins. Everything was cooked perfectly!
I ordered two eggs breakfast over hard with potatoes, sour bread toast, and sausage.
The sour bread was amazingly fresh--it seemed as though it was baked in house. Perfect amount of chewy and crunchy and it made a nice little egg and potato sandwich!
The eggs were over-hard as requested. The sausage was juicy and flavorful!!
I don't live in NY; but when I come back to visit, I will definitely come here again!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Meghann C.Rochester, NY104119184Oct 2, 2019
I just had some of the most AMAZING loaded fries! Crispy, beer battered fries(my fav) topped with shredded cheddar, bacon, and a creamy maple-bourbon-bacon gravy that was sooooo yummy!
The deluxe birds nest was very good as well! I took some home since the fries were so filling.
This was my first visit here and I will be back- not only for the food, but the incredible service as well!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 10, 2020
Very friendly & down to earth staff. The inside is very homey & has a lot to look at. Tables are spaced out & there are a not to many but it's nice. Service was very quick & food came out nice & hot. It is our average diner food but definitely good. Prices are fair. We will definitely be back. Very kid friendly but be warned they have lots of candy all around so they may want some & you may have to buy some lol.

Nice little neighborhood breakfast joint. My breakfast was a good New Year's Day special - chicken fried steak, gravy, home fries, eggs, and waffles. The waffle batter was very sweet, almost crunchy with sugar, but not bad. The home fries were good but there weren't many on the plate. The chicken fried steak was excellent!
My fiancee got cannoli-stuffed french toast with a side of bacon. That was pretty good too. Overall a solid breakfast before hitting the road.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 19, 2019
This place is wonderful. It is like walking into someone's home. Everyone is friendly, and down to earth, and welcoming. We walked in, and this place is like Vidler's, meets the Cracker Barrel, but in a local setting. Patti's story is awesome. Read up on it on the website. I love the combination of a quaint shop and food. We were sat in the garden room, and right away. It was around 10 a.m. on a Saturday. They have gluten free options too. For $1 more you can make your pancakes in the lumberjack breakfast, which I got, gluten free. Also, for bread, they offer a corn bread. Didn't try it, but will when I return. The lumberjack breakfast included 3 pancakes, hashbrowns, which I ordered extra crispy and were divine, scrambled eggs, which tasted like heaven (they were fluffy and had a good flavor to them), and bacon. The bacon could have been a little crispier, but I ate it, because...it is bacon! My mom ordered the potato skin boat. The potato skin was crispy and the entire thing looked delicious and like a heart attack ready to happen, but when it looks that good, it is that good. My mom's boyfriend got the cannoli french toast, and I heard that it was also very good. The coffee is great and the service wonderful. Patti also brought us out a sample of a new flavor of pancakes, and they were great.
The shopping includes an attic upstairs from the garden room, the window sills in the garden room, and along the hallway. My mom found some cute country chic items, and they were inexpensive. We also found some garden items that were well priced.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1242112724Sep 12, 2017
What a cute place. They have a great store inside Where you can buy a lot of neat stuff. They also have an awesome candy selection that reminded me of when I was a kid. They had air heads, bubble tape, pop rocks, rock candy and many others. I definitely brought home a bag full.
I like that they have an option for a 1/2 an omelette at a lower price. I can't eat a normal omelette in one sitting and I don't really like breakfast leftovers, so sometimes it's just a waste of food. My omelette was good but I didn't enjoy the hash Browns. They were really crunchy and chewy. They definitely weren't fresh.
My boyfriend got the tuna special that came with cucumbers and cilantro in it. It was supposed to come into wrap but he asked for sourdough bread and they happily accommodated. He really enjoyed it. It came with chips although you have the option of upgrading to french fries. They have diner prices which is awesome and our bill was very cheap. I will come back to try something else.Helpful 12Thanks 0Love this 12Oh no 0 - 40420266253Oct 8, 2018
Good food, pretty timely service depending on how busy they are. The service was friendly and accommodating. I tried their famous chicken pot pie, which was rich and a perfect comfort food. The fried bologna sandwich (lots of think slices instead of a fresh thick cut) was good, I'd darken the bologna a little more if I were to order it again. The house made soup was chuck full of chunks.

DELICIOUS! Went there with my wife for a breakfast date. I had a skillet, she had the pumpkin pecan pancakes with eggs and sausage. Service was prompt, the waitress friendly, and the coffee hot and plentiful. The pancakes were on special and were amazing! They did a fantastic job on the skillet. Everything was very yummy! Would go there again, and would probably take my kids, they would love it. So good!
