My lovely wife, daughter, and our son's best friend came here today because it was close and recommended by another website. We were not disappointed! The staff were incredibly accommodating for my wife's celiac disease and recommended options she could have. There was so much food we were able to enjoy it as leftovers for dinner. We're so impressed and have decided we may come back as a date night even though it's 45 miles away from our home. Thanks so much!!!

Reliably good Italian food. Great meatballs! Prompt and friendly service, and easy online ordering with a discount if you pay in cash. Since Covid, they no longer have waitresses: you order at the counter, and pick up your food when it is done, but you can still dine on site. The atmosphere is okay, kinda "cheesy " painted scenery decor, but clean. I also enjoy their Italian sub on a Philly role, and they have nice pasta dinners.

Prices are the best I've seen in the area. Food is amazing quality and they have large portions. Love their homemade bread for subs. Nice seating area and an authentic Italian atmosphere. Owner is very friendly and we are happily to support his business.

When you enter this place and you see how it works (go up to the counter order your food, pager goes off, come get your food) it seems to have a rather "fast foody" vibe. It's ok, hang with me.......
Keep in mind that this food is reasonably priced, my wife and I had a drink, a pasta dish, a salad, bread, $31!! DAMN!
So back to the food, my pager goes off, go get our nice little salads....
Olives, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce. Not a junky little salad,
Eating our salads, pager goes off again, go pickup my wife's Penne alla Vodka, I have Spaghetti alla vodka with Meatballs.
Three meatballs, bigger than golf balls, smaller than baseballs. THREE!
They are delicious, the Vodka sauce is the best I've had in PA.
The pasta...... listen I have a pet peeve, I hate over cooked pasta.
The pasta was PERFECTLY el Dente! BRAVO!!
So I eat half my pasta and one meatball..... I am stuffed,
My wife eats half her pasta, pack up the rest and have the leftovers for lunch the next day (my wife stole one of my leftover meatballs of course)
So the trade off is you go grab your own Delicious food at the counter, they don't have to pay waiters/waitresses, you eat a generous delish meal for a reasonable price.
WIN/WIN.
Come check it out.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dusty T.Spring, TX50345Sep 30, 2022Updated review
My husband and I still come in once or twice a year whenever we get in town to visit my sister, and we're sure to drag her along too. This time around my husband got spaghetti and meatballs. Me, on the other hand, now that I had some idea how big their large sub was, I was determined to conquer it!
No dice! Here's a tip: Unless you have FOUR people to eat an appetizer dish here, ordering appetizers on top of your meal is over-ordering. Since we had three people on a plate of 12 delicious garlic knots, each of us staggered home with a large box of leftovers to chew on. On the plus side, the half-sub I went home with was delicious fridge-cold the next day (personal preference)!
We look forward to visiting Pasquales every time we come to town, and this time I got photographic proof of the size of the sub. It's especially fun to stake out one of the booths tucked away into the wall. It gives the meal an intimate, semi-private feel. Glad to see they've survived so far and here's hoping they keep up the good work for many years to come.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 19, 2021Previous reviewA couple years ago, my husband and I came through Lancaster to visit my sister. We went looking around for good local eats and found a little Italian place we all agreed was quite good. Leap forward to this year when we came back to visit, and we were all asking, "What was that place we went to last time? Does anyone remember the name? We have to try and find it again." After a little photo sleuthing and dredging up half-remembered details, we managed to find the same place.
Boy am I glad they are still operating! We visited twice this time. The pizza and garlic knots were a much-enjoyed shared meal, and when we went for individual meals next, they made me a sub sandwich as long as my arm! I definitely, ah, bit off more than I could chew by ordering an 18 inch.
The food was great, the service was friendly, and the booths and tables are close and intimate. If you're looking for good Italian in the area, Pasquale's is the name! Which we won't forget this time! - Kelley S.Lancaster, PA02Dec 2, 2023
Thomas P is on the mark.
A sign directed us to seat ourselves upon entering the establishment. We waited for awhile looking at the menu before we noticed others serving themselves. We then saw another sign that directed us to place our order at the pizza counter. Looking again at the menu it seemed the prices did not reflect that we were ordering, serving and cleaning up after ourselves.
We should have read Thomas P's review before we went. Bring back the waiters and the restaurant ambiance!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 15, 2021
Not impressed at all. We are from the Philadelphia area and I'm originally from Northern New Jersey. This is not authentic Italian food. It may be good for Lancaster but it's definitely below our standards.
However, this is not the reason for the 2 stars. There are no servers. You order at the takeout area, they give you a pager and you pickup your food when you're notified. You are also expected to bus your own table! WHAT?? They should lower their prices if they expect the customers to do all the work.
We paid $37 for a chicken parm dinner with very little pasta and a grilled chicken salad with overcooked, chewy chicken. Absolutely disgraceful and unacceptable.
Avoid Pasquales!Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Thomas P.PA, PA0172Nov 4, 2023
We went here tonight and were very disappointed. First, there are no servers. Second, you must clean up after yourself. Third, you order food and drinks at the counter and have to bring your food to the table yourself.
Ok, this is pizza shop service. But the prices are a little high for a No service place.
As to the food, it was ok. The bread was a warmed hoagie roll with butter. The small pasta dishes were anything but small. My Greek salad with chicken was good.
I just have a real problem with restaurants that forego servers. It's just wrong, especially when every other restaurant and pizza shop has them.
Never going back. There are too many places that do it better!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Margaret D.SoMa, San Francisco, CA21Jun 23, 2023
Really great family-owned and operated-Italian Restaurant and Pizzaria. Take-out or eat-in, their food is plentiful and delicious. Order at the counter and sit down at one of their tables in a niche, or go to one of their private booths for more intimate dining. BYOB, sit back and listen to the American/Italian hits from the 50's, interspersed with fan favorite opera selections. The service is fast and the staff is friendly. You're in for a treat if you strike up a conversation with Frank!
For a laidback, intimate, Old World type feel, with great food that is super affordable, there's no better place than Pasquale's.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shuk C.Hyattsville, MD174180Jan 7, 2023
This is solid Italian restaurant, really causal but can surprise you with their quality! My favorite is the wedding soup, chicken parmesan, and their giant meatballs. The pasta are cooked Al dente, and their chicken Parmesan is cooked perfect and not dry. The favors are on point as well. You also can't beat this price, I didn't expect much originally since it's more a take out place but their food is authentic, and they really do a great job.
