The owners of this bike shop are so sweet! Our group is from all different states and we were looking for a fun thing to experience while checking out Hot Springs National Park. I've ridden bikes all my life but never a mountain bike which is apparently a lot different.
They were super helpful with showing us how to use them - the gears, the seat-shift, the brakes. They were also a fun bunch who had us laughing the whole time (an added bonus!). They even were so incredibly kind to come pick up one of our group members and drive them back to their rental shop for them to wait for the rest of us as it was too hot for them to continue on. We are so thankful for that gesture!!!!
Helpful Tip: This place is about 2.5 miles from the nearest biking trail... The five of us drove together in a car so we had to bike UPHILL on a small, single-lane road for the majority of those 2.5 miles before we finally reached there. The cars were friendly and always went around us but it would've been much nicer to have been able to drive the bikes to the trailhead so we could experience more of it. Bring a truck or other bike-supporting vehicle if you plan to rent from this place.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brent S.Las Cruces, NM5881424Jul 3, 2021
We were on a ride and passed by the shop. It was closed, the owner happened to pull in at the same time we were there. We needed to repair a tire and the owner opened the shop for us. Gave us some tire sealant to keep us on the trail! It's things like this that make America! On 4th of July one friendly owner helping a patron! I would recommend this place over any bike shop in Hot Springs! Thank you again!

Fantastic and accommodating experience from Parkside. I was in town and wanted to rent a MTB for Monday riding. The shop was closed on Mondays but the owner offered to let me pick the bike up Saturday evening and keep it through the weekend returning it Tuesday morning, and only asked me to pay for the 1 day... The rental was a full suspension Pivot which was well maintained and top notch...Thanks Parkside for your flexibility and willingness to go the extra mile for the customer...Highly recommend you visit this shop while in town for all your cycling needs..

What a pleasant experience. 500 miles from home on a bike trip, and my derailleur cable explodes. Drove to Parkside at opening time and they promptly took care of my bike. Great mechanic.
The owner went out of his way to explain the local trails and make some recommendations. Thanks to him we really enjoyed the Cedarglades MTB trail (check it out).
I'm sorry it don't recall your names guys, but thanks a bunch. You made my bike trip better.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Stephanie L.Hampton, NJ04Apr 30, 2016
I was visiting from Upstate NY and needed Mtn bike fix of rear tire. I drove to Hot Springs from Arkadelphia and these guys were great! Big Kudos to Allen who took me right in and completely re-taped rim, new valve stem and Stans sealant. The best job ever. For the first time the tire held air overnight! Thank You! Job well done. A nice little shop off the beaten path of Hot Springs. A gator petting zoo next door!

Brought my bike in on a Tuesday for a new break lever, they told me they would have it done by Thursday. Thursday came and no call I drove by and seen my bike sitting on the rack outside. Went in and they said they said it would be done by the weekend. Went back Monday and the bike shop was closed. Came back on Tuesday and my bike was done. Cost $50 for a new lever.

A great little bike shop in Hot Springs! Drove from Texas only to find that I had an issue with one of my bike's disc brakes while riding a local trail-a recurring problem with my bike. Went over to Parkside and the shop mechanic (Black) quickly assessed the problem and had the brakes in working order within an hour. Recommended that I might consider replacing these substandard brakes with something better in the future because the ones on my bike were probably not going to last much longer. He wasn't trying to sell me anything-only recommending. I took the bike back on the trail and although they worked okay, I agreed with his assessment that they definitely were not doing the job and needed replacing. No brakes on hilly Arkansas trails can ruin your day! Dropped the bike off that afternoon and asked if they could have the new brakes installed by the next day. No problem even though there were many other bikes in the shop for repairs. Like advertised, Black had my bike ready with the awesome new XT brakes the next day in time for another ride. These amazing brakes worked so much better and gave me a piece of mind while riding downhill! What great service, friendly, knowledgeable people, and a nice shop stocked with parts and anything else you might need related to cycling! I would recommend Parkside to anyone in the area. You guys rock!

So glad I didn't judge this shop by Yelp reviews! This place is a true gem. Not only was the staff extremely helpful and efficient, the shop carries only the best cycling gear. If you are a tourist looking for a cheap rental, this may not be the place for you. But if you are a true cyclist, this is a five star shop! And they even put me in contact with a cycling group for a nice 55 miler through the countryside. Excellent place. I will be back.

I had an interest in the sport, and decided to stop by and find out some more information on bike prices, types, and equipment. Jan was extremely helpful in helping me make an informed decision on bike. They put me a couple let me ride around until I found one that worked for what I needed. I will be back for all my biking needs. Always helpful and friendly.
