Location, location, location! Beautiful boutique hotel located directly across from Central Park. Everything you could possibly need is within walking distance.
The hotel itself has a young, fun vibe. The decor has somewhat of an Asian inspired flare. (Faux chinoiserie panels in rooms, whimsical figurines and botanicals).
From the moment you walk in - the lively music and helpful staff are there to greet you and help with getting you settled.
We arrived before check-in , however they stored our luggage until our room was available. Until then, we took advantage of the fabulous shops and restaurants within walking distance.
Our room was located on the 11th floor. It was spacious and beautiful decorated. We were happy to see that the room came with 2 plush bathrobes, a steam iron, plenty of soft towels and bathroom essentials.
I was extremely impressed with housekeeping. Most places we have stayed at recently, required us to follow up with housekeeping each day. At the Park Lane, housekeeping was prompt and efficient in tiding up the room each day! Fresh towels, fresh bedding and cleaning. Love this!!!
My son says this is one of his favorite places to stay! We will definitely be back!

Just a terrible experience overall. In room heater didn't work. Right faucet in bathroom didn't work. Cleaning service was non existent. Had to complain 3x in one day to get it done. Their computer system was down for our entire stay and everything had to be done manually.

The problem is not the staff. They did their best. The problem is Highgate the ownership. They couldn't care less. The staff is, as far as I can tell doing their best.

Unless ownership does something to improve the situation. Avoid this damn hotel. The view is nice. The quality of management is absolutely atrocious.

Great views from our room of Central Park! Very comfortable beds and amenities. The bathroom and room had an art deco style with beautiful woodland wallpaper! This place was very convenient and upscale. We ate at SaraBeth's next door and that was busy but great!

Stayed here 1 night before leaving back to LA.

Rooms were clean, we had rooms overlooking Central Park which was nice.

All of the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful from the doorman helping us with our bags, opening the door for us, and asking jf we needed umbrellas when it was raining as we left for an adventure. Plus when we were leaving, they called a taxi for us since the ones standing outside were tiny.

The cleaning staff gave my kids chocolates in their separate room which they really got a kick out of.

We had breakfast on 47 at Darlings and the staff again was amazing. From the woman checking us in to the waiters, it was a challenge to let them baby us seeing as we're not from money and not used to that level of attention. The food was just okay but the experience totally made up for it.

Highly recommend and would definitely stay there again next time we visit NYC..

I really enjoyed this hotel but did have a few drawbacks. I had a work trip for three days and I felt very comfy with my room on the 43rd floor with a fantastic view of Central Park. The staff at the door were very friendly, greeting hello and goodbye. Thanks to the doorman John for lending me an umbrella for my walk to the market late at night in the pouring rain. I read that the hotel would provide two bottles of water per day. I received two bottles for the whole stay. After I requested more, I never received more. The breakfast cost was absurd-$5.00 for a small of coffee that should be included with your stay. The coffee was good though, I'll give them that. The hotel lobby smells like very strong perfume as soon as you walk in, almost intoxicating. Upon check-in, I was with my group of colleagues and everyone else had their room ready upon arrival. I had to wait an hour and half and was told I would be notified within 30 minutes via text when it was ready, Never got a text. Barely any shower pressure, but that's to be expected in old NYC buildings. Overall, I would return in the future.

I stayed at the park lane for 2 nights at the end of September. During my stay I had a $100 food and beverage credit from Amex and upon check in I was told room service was included in that. After checkout I wasn't given an itemized bill for my stay like usual and it took multiple calls and emails to receive one. I saw that I was charged for my room service that should have been included in my food and beverage credit like originally told to me.

We booked 3 rooms and 1 suite with Park Lane, and worked directly with Mr. Steve Park. He communicated with me the entire time leading up to our stay until he unfortunately left employment at the hotel.

Our stay began on 9/1/23 and despite the lobby being packed with people Mounia at the front desk checked us in with record speed.

I told Mounia that I had tried to book a reservation for 20 on the roof for drinks on 9/2/23 after our wedding reception next door and that the roof told us they could not accommodate our party back in June when we reserved our rooms.

Mounia without hesitation called her colleague Mel who came to meet me withing 1-2 minutes. Mounia Mel and I talked briefly and both told me they would arrange the reservation just give them an hour.

In less than an Hour Mel called and told everything was set and good to go for the next night.

We had an amazing private wedding ceremony in Central Park, the entire goup of guests followed us to Quality Mear next door were we had rented out part of the restaurant for a Private dinner reception. After we enjoyed drinks on the roof of Park Lane with incredible views and amazing hospitality.

I did not cross paths with Mounia the rest of our stay, until the morning of our check out, 9/4/23 she was in the lobby. As soon as she saw me she came over and asked how my stay was. She remembered my name and greated my wife. While Park lane is amazing in and of itself Mounia is a 10/10.

We stayed at the Park Lane Hotel during our four days stay in New York City. This hotel is in a prime location as it is right across the street from Central Park and within walking distance of the Fifth Avenue stores, Columbus Circle, and Times Square, as well as many other sites. We attended the U.S. Open and were able to easily get to the train, which was super close by, to get there. The concierge Carlos was a gem in showing us how to best get to our destinations.

We were also in New York City to celebrate my sister's birthday. I'd let the hotel know in advance, and they left this beautiful, personal sized chocolate cake for her, with a lovely note wishing her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. The cake was so good we had to order another before the end of our trip!

As far as the hotel goes, it was not as great as we'd expected, but I'd chuck that up to it being gloomy in the city, and us not having a Central Park facing room. Our room faced some other buildings and the street, so it wasn't as bright as I imagine the other rooms are. The lighting was also dim in the room and throughout the hotel. The bathroom was too cute! We really loved the striped walls and the solid color accents, as well as the Le Labo toiletries, which were a nice touch. The bed was plush and a dream to sleep in. We would absolutely visit again based off the location, food, and excellent customer service.

I've called several times and left two messages regarding this billing issue and no one has returned my call. Ive emailed 4 times. We stayed at Park Lane on March 26-29 and was very disappointed in the stay. When we first arrived at the hotel, there was a technology issue that was supposed to be resolved within 24 hours. We waited over an hour to get checked in. During the stay, someone had to escort us to our room every time we left and came back due to this technology issue. It still was not fixed when we left on Friday. Every time we purchased something from the hotel, it had to be written down again causing another inconvenience. At night, the hotel room was very hot and we had difficulty sleeping. I called the front desk and they sent somebody up to our room but nothing could be done. I am very disappointed especially when I am paying this much money for a nice hotel. During our check out, we told the lady at the front desk our issues and she wrote it down and said that a manager would be calling us and we would be receiving a discount. This has not been done either. We got charged almost $3,000 for our stay and I am very upset. On a previous review, Robert Macneil replied back to send our concerns and contact info to the info email for Park Lane and yet still no one has contacted us.

We stayed here in January of 2024 for almost a week, and we loved it here!

Checking in was quick and easy, they even gave us early check in. Our room was clean and spacious with a crazy view!

We tried the downstairs bar along with the upstairs restaurant, Darling and both were really good with great service.

The hotel was clean and beautifully remodeled and everyone working here was so on top of anything we needed.

We can't wait to stay here again!
