Pappas had a huge fire and the fire dept is saying building is a total loss.

Big fan of this place! No surprise that Brad Pitt, my absolute fav, chose Pappas as a film location for his new Formula 1 movie! I saw the Brad Pitt-less Cherry Pie on the menu now & had to order a slice. Got to talk to a staff member and customer about their experience being extras in the movie as well. Can't wait to see them on the big screen!
Besides the recent headlines, this place has been a staple in my rotation for years. I live in Orlando, and my favorite beach is New Smyrna and Canaveral National Seashore, and I always stop at Pappa's when I visit. Usually we just park and have the waitress take our order at the car window. Our fav is to get cheeseburgers, fries & milkshakes. There's no good place to get a simple burger in Orlando, so we love going to Pappa's!
We also have dined inside on numerous occasions. It's a nice diner vibe with bar seating in the middle and plenty of tables to pick from. The waitstaff is quick, efficient, and friendly! We do LOVE their fried chicken and I'm also a fan of their liver & onions. I honestly have yet to have something here I didn't like.
It was cute to see they updated the sign and some other items for the movie. I'm also still just starstruck to think I was possibly sitting in the chair Brad Pitt sat in just a few weeks ago! Pappa's really deserves the recognition and I hope that you can go & experience some of their delicious food!Helpful 5Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - Flora S.Oak Hill, FL442454Feb 14, 2024Updated review
This used to be my favorite spot to eat. Today was a huge disappointment. The waitress was too busy chatting in the back and with another. The tall waitress brought our food to us. They change to coke products so I got a tea that tasted very sour. I don't know if management changed. I just don't like cold food. Used to have good staff. Very disappointed. On the receipt it says Sonny. She didn't even stay at the table to finish taking the payment. 26.40 for breakfast was not worth it! And what is CFS?

I had good eyes crisp bacon and French toast. Onions on my hash browns. The atmosphere was wonderful! Loved the horseshoe counter but chose to sit at table. The staff was amazing! Great place! I will be back!

This place is one of the few remaining diners in the area that will take you back in time - the word nostalgic immediately comes to mind when you enter through the front door. You can grab a seat at the "breakfast" bar or pick any open table and they'll come to you, the menus are tucked behind the old style napkin holders at the far side of the table beside the salt and pepper shakers and a few condiments.
It's been years since my last visit so I was curious to see if things have changed and was hoping they hadn't, I don't know all the history since I move here about 12 years ago and this place has been here since 1970 but I liked the vibe.
There are always daily specials posted on a dry eraser board on the far wall, it's hand written and not the easiest to read from a distance but definitely worth a closer view before ordering versus expecting your server to recite it from memory although I'm sure they can. The menu is eclectic and the prices are still surprisingly low, there's definitely value here and I thought the quality was good as well.
We ordered fried chicken and chicken fingers, I ordered the traditional 2 pc bone-in chicken and it was absolutely delicious, I opted for the fries and a side of brown gravy which I smothered the fries in, that worked out well. I think like most diners there's a little bit of everything and it seemed everybody here was happy.
I'm definitely a fan, it's great to know these types of old school diners still exist and I'll definitely frequent this one more after trying them again...Helpful 41Thanks 7Love this 52Oh no 0 - Adranna P.Oak Hill, FL01389Feb 18, 2024

I've been eating here for over 25 years and it has a lot of memories for me and my family. Unfortunately I ate there for the last time today. Prices are high everywhere ; I get it but $2 more for the same item meanwhile the portion is much smaller. My favorite dish there for as long as as I can remember. What a slap in the face. Not everyone here is a celebrity. Such a shame.

Compensate your employees for the time they spent unwillingly without a job, while you gained popularity from a movie being filmed there. Do better.

A very nostalgic place this is. They have eat in your car curb service and an inside dining area. There is a horseshoe shaped counter and tables inside. We sat at the counter. The menu says famous since 1970. The placed was packed at 6 on Friday with mostly older diners.
The menu is very extensive with all sorts of items on it. We got a burger and the fried grouper, Both were very good and prices are super reasonable. Dinner for 2 was les than 20 dollars.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0
