Panera Bread

My Mom loves Panera's Strawberry Salad with Poppyseed Dressing.

I was in Omaha for a week and wanted to spoil my Mom as much as I could.

Today as a treat for her lunch I ordered on line and picked up her order curbside.

I got the same salad for myself.

Our salads were abundant and colorful with strawberries, pineapple, mandarin oranges, and pecans topping the lettuce.

Mom has eaten this same salad to go from another location often since the pandemic. Today's salads were not up to par.

The strawberries on the salads, seemed to come out of a bag of "frozen" strawberries as they were no where fresh.
I had several that had the beginnings of mold on them too. I lost my appetite and just could not eat anymore of my salad.

Mom said there was just too many pecans on her salad, (usually she said there's a sprinkling of pecans on top, so I got a spoon and removed most from her salad.
As Mom ate hers, she said the lettuce was not as fresh as she has gotten from the Saddle Creek location. So we tossed both salads into the trash.

I had to figure out what to do about lunch since we both were hungry.

I realize things happen, but since restaurant business is really down now, their quality of food and freshness MUST be maintained!

No I did not call the restaurant, even though we were disappointed in our salads. I was not looking for a refund. I know times are tough, I just hope they make every effort to provide fresh product always!

I picked this location to order food ahead and head back to the hospital since this is the closest location for Children's Hospital. My food was ready a few minutes before my requested time, and I was able to park right in front of the store, grab my food and go. The girl working behind the counter greeted me, and helped me when I requested a drink carrier. She was very friendly, and thanked me for my visit as well. From what I could tell the store looked clean, and the drink station looked well stocked.

Panera is always a good choice for lunch. Today I had a Mediterranean veggie sandwich but this time I had a whole one instead of the pick two with mac and cheese. Half a sandwich was plenty so now I have half for tomorrow. With the tomato basil bread, cukes, feta, onion, and tomatoes, this sandwich is like salad on bread. I also ordered a vanilla cinnamon roll because...well... cinnamon roll. While the dough part seemed a bit dry, there was plenty of cinnamon goodness inside and enough frosting on top to off set the dryness. The service was quick and polite. The tables were clean, and it was quiet. As has been said, you can't go wrong with Panera.

Just updating. Stopped in this morning with my daughter. The staff is always very nice here and the food usually pretty good. Today I wanted to try something different so I got the vanilla cinnamon roll. It was very good. daughter as always enjoyed her bagel with cream cheese.

My granddaughter and I went to Natural Grocer's and she said she wanted french fries. I noticed the Panera Bread and thought we should eat there instead, thinking it was a healthier choice. It was my first time but I follow a FB soup group and Panera's soups had been a topic of conversation. I chose the soup and salad combo. The salad was delicious and the soup was really, really good. As I'm writing this I'm craving a delicious bowl right now.

Poor customer service all around. place seems dirty and everyone is always cranky. called this AM to kindly ask if they were out of breakfast items since i couldn't order online and all i got was "YOU HAVE TO COME IN TO ORDER" and hung up on.

My visit to Panera was a series of letdowns. The staff seemed disinterested, and my order took ages to arrive. When it finally did, the food was bland and overpriced. The ambiance was far from inviting - cramped tables and a lack of cleanliness made it an unpleasant dining spot. I won't be returning anytime soon.

Do not order the mac and cheese after 2 pm. They microwave. You get a half bowl of liquid cheese and noodles - all barely warm.

35 minute wait for a single turkey sandwich ordered on site. Crappy parking, no drive through and super pot holed parking lot. Why did I come here?!

Stop in for lunch, they're were very busy. My order took over 1( minutes (for a salad) and the chicken was very suspect,,, I've noticed this at one other salad shop so wonder if supply is bad. The staff was really nice and apologetic about the wait. I don't love this location or parking.
