This has always been even been before covid.

I use to really shopping in this Hallmark. I just left and I'm terribly disappointed. This is the second time that I went into the store and the 3 women were pilled upfront talking to one another. I wasn't even greeted at the door.

I brought 2 Jill Scott Christmas cards and one didn't have an envelope. I asked the cashier who was ringing up my order, "can you give me the envelope to this other card please?". She responded, "we don't have any, the guests takes them." I replied, can you help me find an envelope, I would really like the same gold colored envelope. She replied, "just go look in the cards, you can get anyone you want".

At that point I became very upset. I said to her and the other 2 women who never stopped talking to each other, " you know, I use to come in here often and I always received good customer service. However, the last time I came, the women were congregated upfront, not helping customers and it's the same this time. This lady named Daana turned around around and looked at me and said to the other employees, "like I was saying", as she continued to talk.

What I received was pitiful service. It seems the women there seems more interested in talking to one another than providing customer service. There was no one one the floor asking customers if they needed assistance like they use to. Instead, they cared more about entertaining one another. And Daana was terrible. I'm done with this Hallmark.

So when I needed to get a birthday card for my sister...and a miss you card for my special guy...I took the chance and stopped here. Bear in mind I usually just stop at the grocery store for cards...but I wanted something a bit more special. The store was definitely well designed and stocked...with all the Christmas items out. The employees were especially nice and helpful. I found my cards after making the painstakingly hard decision between a few. Now of course the prices are higher than those at the grocery store...but come on, you expect that. And...they both LOVED their cards.
The only reason this business did not receive 5 stars from me...at checkout the employee asked me if I belonged to their rewards program. I said no, and she provided me the information. I wish this info had been available while I was shopping, because I didn't have time to complete it. But I rushed through it. Maybe if they provided a chair, or a stool near the counter to complete the information, it would be easier.
