Wayne Britt has given me excellent professional help in obtaining quotes for my house and for my two cars for my move to Chapel Hill. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Wayne.

I just talked to Marc Cram about my medicare advantage plan options. He made what was confusing and a little daunting for me easy to understand and simple to sign up for.
I have both car and home insurance with Pam. She is a great explainer and I feel confident I am completely covered!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christerlena S.SoMa, San Francisco, CA01Sep 7, 2023
Jessica was very attentive to my needs. She took care of what I needed and was able to answer my other question. She was up front in letting me know that she was getting Ms. Herndon to handle one of my issues. She also followed up the next day and confirmed what we talked about. She was very professional, efficient and quick.

State Farm: we offer great towing coverage.
Me: great. I'll use it when I need it!
State Farm: we are going to cancel your coverage.
Me: but why??? I've been a customer for years!!!
State Farm: you actually used the coverage you have been paying for!
What bullshit.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gina A.Chapel Hill, NC1015524Oct 2, 2014
HANDS DOWN, best State Farm office ever! Coming from Florida in 2009, I didn't know a soul in town and needed to buy a car. Up here, things are different than in Florida. In Florida, you buy the car THEN get insurance; up here, it's backwards. AND to buy a car, you have to have a NC driver's license, which unless you have a car, you can't take the driving test. (Is it just me or does anyone else see that this makes NO SENSE?)
Anyway, the receptionist at this office loaned me her car to take my driving test...just handed me her keys. Me, a stranger. I was touched, and this office has been my favorite since then. The receptionists have changed a couple of times but they still know who I am when I call, they treat me with respect, and they're just awesome people - apparently that's the kind of people they hire - awesome.
When I have insurance needs, they fill them. When I have problems, they solve them. I couldn't recommend them any more than I do right now.
When I think of the State Farm motto, I think of Pam Herndon's office.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dali S.Durham, NC01212Oct 15, 2016
My wife and I have been very pleased with Pam and her staff for the passed 4 years and still are. I highly recommend her for cars, businesses, life insurances etc...

Perhaps this agency is decent for basic auto and/or homeowners insurance, but they were about as helpful as a backache when I tried to insure a food truck. Incredibly disappointed.

I expect my insurance agent to help me quickly and communicate effectively. The only claim that I ever filed at this office was a horrendous experience. We had someone hit our car in a parking garage. It was originally a hit and run but the person came back. We called State Farm and they said that they would pull the updated police report and Sabrina had to do nothing. Days later, when we called (State Farm never initiated any contact with us) we were told that State Farm hadn't received the police report because we never faxed it. We faxed then faxed it over. Days after that, again we had to call them, we found out that it was still recorded as a hit and run. We were told we would be called back that day or first thing in the morning. The next afternoon we called them (please notice the theme of our dealings with Pam Herndon's State Farm office). We were still on the hook for the deductible and were told that for some people it was quick and for some people it took a little while longer. One month later we received a letter from State Farm (the first correspondence we got from them in a month. They never once called or updated us on a status in between) stating that the entire process could take up to a year.
All other dealings with Pam Herndon's State Farm office was about the same. If you call for quotes and they tell you that they will "definitely" get you the quote by the end of the day, or they will follow up with you by the end of the day, you should "definitely" expect to have to call them the following day to remind them to get you whatever you were promised. This has happened at least three times.
The people at Pam Herndon's State Farm office are all very nice, therefore the 2 stars, they just don't keep deadlines, don't communicate when they miss deadlines, and they weren't proactive in following up on my claim. Whether this is common, I do not know, but this was my experience with this office.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
