I recently visited Palsaik with my girlfriend and her friends, and let me tell you--it was a trip down memory lane! Having lived in Korea about ten years ago, I was thrilled to find this gem right here. Palsaik specializes in eight different flavors of pork belly, and each bite was like a reunion with old friends.
The ambiance was cozy, and the aroma of sizzling meat filled the air. Our server was an absolute star--helpful, attentive, and skilled at cooking the meat to perfection. They made sure our dining experience was extraordinary.
From the savory garlic flavor to the sweet honey soy, every slice of pork belly transported me back to those bustling Korean barbecue joints. The nostalgia was real, and I couldn't help but smile between bites.
Whether you're a seasoned Korean food enthusiast or a curious newcomer, Palsaik is a must-visit. The flavors, the service, and the memories--it's all there. I'm already planning my next visit because, honestly, where else can you find such a delightful pork belly feast?Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 21, 2024
Another hidden gem discovered!
Good quality of meat.
Great service.
Enjoyed the ramen kimchi soup too.
A little pricey but worth it.
Will definitely drop by again and recommend to my friends.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 4, 2024
This place is fabulous. I know they are known for their pork but our family is more beef lovers. We go with the Large Beef Combo. The quality of the meat is really good. They cook it for you and I have to say everything is yummy. The steamed egg (not sure what it's called exactly in English) is seasoned really well. In fact thats what I love about their food. Everything is seasoned perfectly.
The Large Beef combo comes with Kimchi stew which is absolutely delicious and comes with ramen noodles. I'm not a salad person but even their salad is good.
The woman who usually helps us is super friendly and we go when it's kind of quiet so we get the best service. Love this place!Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jan 30, 2024
Came with a group of my friends on a Thursday night. It was pretty packed and there were a good amount of people. Coming in you were that it looks like a kbbq restaurant forsure with the grill and the air vent. There were also a lot of lights too. I was immediately greeted by Austin and he helped us. We ordered the Beef and Pork combo.
Beef and Pork Combo- This combo came with a small beef order which included brisket and a steak and 8 different flavors of pork belly. The meat was definitely very fresh and marbled nicely! The steak too was definitely fresh! The pork belly came in eight different flavors. All were good! However my favorite was definitely the garlic and the curry one. They all weren't too overwhelming in flavor but at least you could taste the hint of the flavors.
Overall the experience was nice! Austin and Evan really made the night enjoyable with great customer service. The only thing is that this place doesn't have a lot of side dishes which is forsure the downside. However I would come back! They are awesomeHelpful 2Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - Marisa Y.Torrance, CA166173458Mar 5, 2024
One of my new favorite kbbq spots! I love the marinated pork belly here. Their combo deals are good portions for the price. Between three people, we shared the small pork combo and also ordered other side dishes and drinks. If you're super hungry, then I recommend getting a large combo.
You get 8 different types of marinated pork belly and the staff cook the meat for you. It also comes with kimchi soup and ramen noodles. The steamed egg is also a must try.
I came here to celebrate a friends birthday on a Friday night. We arrived around 7 pm and were able to get seated after about 30 minutes.
The restaurant has a Korean pub vibe. I like how the seats can be used as storage for your bags and jackets. It's a pretty small restaurant too but the service was attentive.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 0 - 35150386Jan 6, 2024
Absolutely loved visiting this spot for dinner on a Friday night, we found seating right as we entered!
We ordered the palsaik pork combo for two, it was $79 dollars and came with 8 different flavors of pork, each with unique seasonings like Garlic, curry, herb, wine and more! The sides included a kimchi onion and pork hotpot with ramen, sprouts, kimchi, jalepenos and onions, rice, salad and lettuce.
The service was wonderful, they taught me to make a Korean taco lol. Very family style, loved it!
Great for date night, friends outing, or family outgoing. 10/10 recommend!Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jan 10, 2024
The restaurant is known for its various types of marinated samgyupsal (pork belly) which is my favorite cut of meat. They have other cuts too but it is premium meats so there are not many choices. My two school aged girls ordered the bulgogi (marinated rib eye) rice bowls. Place is good for groups but it is also a small place too. We ordered a beef combo which also included the 8 types of samgyupsal and I was wowed. The portion size was enough to feed four adults.
Servers come around and cook everything for you on the flat grill which is placed angled down. They put the veggies on one end and the meat on the other. As the meat cooks, the juices flow down to the veggies and then the leftover oil drips down to a cup that is placed underneath it. Each cut of meat is cooked at once and the server will let you know when it is ready to eat.Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 2Oh no 0 - Ryan Matsukawa ..Los Angeles, CA11123Jan 28, 2024
Food was very good and meat was also very good quality. We ordered I believe a meat and pork combo, which was a good amount of food that could probably feed 4-6 people. My favorite was for-sure the pork. They had the pork organized by their marinade which was a total of 8 flavors from garlic, wine, herb, curry, etc. The wine flavored pork contained a small hint of wine, but with a perfect amount of saltiness. Definitely recommend trying the wine or garlic flavored pork.
Unlike other kbbq restaurants, they give you a paste to dip your meat in. It was almost like a spicy miso paste. Typically I like the sweet and liquified sauce, but I didn't mine the paste at all.
Service was extraordinary! They greeted us kindly and our server Casey was amazing. He cooked our food and was very nice as well as entertaining. We had almost 5 young to teenage kids at the table, and they all had fun talking and interacting with him. Shoutout to Casey for being the man!
Definitely would come again!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0
