I have been practicing for many years and have nothing but great words to say about the instructors and masters. The family environment is very special and unique. With many different disciplines to choose from, every class experience is different and you learn new techniques in each class you take.
I have learned a lot through practicing at World Pa kua, it has helped me mentally and physically better myself and my life!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gabe N.San Fernando Valley, CA01Aug 1, 2023
I've been taking Chinese Yoga / QiGong for a few months with Bella and have loved her classes. She's a great teacher who's passionate about sharing her knowledge and has a thoughtful approach for working with her students. One lesson I've learned over the years is that when it comes to learning any physical practice, the teacher matters more than the style. If you're like me and have tried the Westernized version of Indian Yoga before and are looking for something with similar benefits that's tailored to your needs, I'd definitely recommend giving one of her classes a shot. The one-size fits all classes that you get at most yoga studios might not be the wisest approach for a lot of people since teachers won't know where you're at in your process and injuries are actually pretty common These disciplines were always supposed to be tailored to individual needs that reflect the students' strengths and limitations. Having an instructor who knows where you're at in your process and cares about you is also super important. Another thing that often gets neglected in these classes is the inner dimension of practice. I appreciate that Bella incorporates tools like breathwork and meditation that are helpful for working with your thoughts and energy. You get all of that with Bella, which is why I've stuck with her classes and recommend her to anyone who's looking for a more holistic path towards healing their body and mind.

Bella is welcoming and open from the first visit.
Never felt pressured to "sign up" or commit.
I pay once a month to lower the per class rate and I believe it is very reasonable.
I have been taking Tai Chi with Kyle for two months and find him a great teacher and the class is very beginner friendly.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 19, 2017
Tucked away in North Hollywood is a small studio that hosts fitness classes. I bought a Groupon for 30 fitness classes. Pa Kua was the closest location to me.
My friend and I came for the 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm Chinese yoga. The instructor was very friendly and greeted us immediately when we came in. She offered water and explained to us how the classes worked.
They have a water station and bamboo mats for you outside the studio. They had ottomans to store your belongings and a small cubby for your shoes. To my surprise, my friend and I were the only participants for this class. It was such a shame since the class was great! Chinese yoga is a little lighter than regular yoga. There were periods of mediation followed by stretches and a few poses.
Overall it was a very fun class. I definitely recommend this studio. It's very intimate and I actually saw a staff member clean up the floor after the class before us so I know they value upkeep. There's plenty residential parking and a few metered spots.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I have been looking for a studio for a long time and this place is awesome. Master Billingsley has been a great Martial Arts teacher. The class is for all levels which gives me the ability to learn from those with more experience, but more importantly to observe them. I love the comprehensive approach to health and the philosophy of the school. It has an old school feel and a friendly atmosphere. This is a great place if you don't like agro-alpha bros teaching you Martial Arts.

I love the ambiance of the place when you walk inside and the employees make it an even better experience. The classes here are something I'm new to (like yoga and reflexology), but again, they make you feel comfortable.

I tried the Saturday archery class and it was amazing! The instructor is very calm and attentive. She takes time with each new student to show them the proper form and the proper way to breathe. I would recommend this class to all.
