The food was delicious. I had the blackened group which was amazing. Our waitress was very friend and was very familiar with the menu. We will return.

Stopped in for dinner on the way back from Pensacola. They were busy but got us in quickly. Service was great, we got drinks and were able to order quickly. The food was tasty, the shrimp were plump and tasted so fresh. They had a good sized menu with a variety of seafood, it was difficult to choose due to so many things looking good. The view was very nice, and it would be a good place for a romantic dinner.

The service was great, let's start with that. The bushwhacker was good, the seafood bisque was awesome. The oysters were not good and not recommended. They are not on the half shell and in a ramekin. The spinach was soggy and a hot mess/ avoid those. For a place named "oyster bar" we should assume they'd get those right, right?

I have probably eaten here more than any where with consistency- inside bar, outside bar, inside dining, outside dining. Not the kitchen though, which could use my help though. This used to be a "local" secret and now it's free game as we've seen more tourists find this once gem of a restaurant. One thing I have seen is the decline over the past few years. For example, last night I ordered the steamed and rockafella oysters as my meal. Both items were cool to the touch. They are a cooked oyster so I shouldn't be able to pick up the shell, the oyster should be bubbling in hot juice right? So the waitress comes over (she was awesome btw) I put the oyster in her hand and she says "oh no, that's bad, it should be hot" - she's correct. She tried to make it right and suggests she can fetch me another batch but we both agreed the table or 8 I am with would likely be on desert or ready to go when I got my replacement food. Most likely my meal was done and waited on the counter until the full order was ready. Poor form. The time before our salads were delivered "after" we had been 5 minutes into our entree- it's not a side folks, it's a salad served pre entree! Ughhh. It's the little things like that and the big things like an entree that folks expect at a nice restaurant. Two examples of the many over the past year. Pick up your game Oyster Bar and get back to the hidden gem that rocked the gulf coast!
Apr 22, 2015Previous reviewOysters on the half shell, 10 out of 10. Probably the best I've had in years. My blackened grouper was cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend this place to locals or visitors. I spend the summers in the area and am always looking for new places, not tourist traps. This has a great dining experience and excellent food. Not over priced in my opinion. Plus, homemade blue cheese salad dressing - yum.

The service was alright, could have been better. Food took a little but tasted well. We had rockenfellers as the appetizer and as said before they are not in the half shell.

We took our grands and daughter here for an evening meal. Lovely atmosphere, right on the waterway! The waitress told us about some food/app favorites/choices. The calamari was done perfectly. The grands enjoyed their meals also. Simple yet great food! The prices were not over the top but good food for the price! That's always a plus!!

We vacation in Perdido Key often, and always make it a point to visit I Perdido Key Oyster Bar. It was closed for a bit and/or down for renovations or something on a recent trip so we were excited to return. Not sure I ever hear the full story to that, but they're open and great!
We visited pretty early on a Friday night - had worried we would need to wait for a seat but had no problems, even with our request of an outside table. It's just before 'busy season' so perhaps we got lucky. The restaurant in on the bay with great view, and a fun 'casual upscale' vibe.
As usually I read my yelp reviews in advance along with the menu and had my meal planned, but our server Nicole had better options - she was fantastic and gave great opinions and descriptions of some alternatives and ultimately I went with her suggestions. Kudos to her - that almost never happens for me, but she was great and took her time and I appreciated her recommendations - and was happy I did! I usually note 'good service' or 'pretty good' or 'meh' but truly she rocked it.
Son had fettuccini Alfredo with grilled chicken. Not at all what I would have ordered, but it rarely is. He inhaled it, along with a cup of seafood gumbo. For a kid who hates seafood, and ordered mostly chicken, he loves his gumbo and chargrilled oysters. Go figure.
Wife ordered the stuffed grouper special and loved it. Green beans and baked potato were her sides, and she was pleased.
I - convinced by the server - went with the pan fried grouper. It's pan fried, topped with almonds, and spectacular. I never would have ordered that without a nudge, but am glad I did. My sides were baked potato and fries. Yes, a lot of starch in those sides, but it's vacation!
A great meal - great atmosphere - great service. Highly recommend.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Carrie B.Indianapolis, IN52356Dec 26, 2023
The service was wonderful& we got our food delivered Hot and quickly! The only reason why I am docking the star rating is because the majority of the food was just ok. We tried the seafood gumbo-which did not have hardly any spice or flavor at all. The Rockefeller oysters were very overwhelming herbal tasting. The only thing that tasted phenomenal was the specialty Grouper that my brother had.

Wow! What a find. Nestled on top of a lovely marina, this restaurant has a huge indoor dining space as well as a covered outdoor space bar. We were seated quickly and our server was very attentive. The food was phenomenal ! Not pictured was oysters on half shell that we're ice cold, full of flavor, and were served with fresh hollandaise and cocktail. The fish was so good! It was stuffed with a crab cake and had a creamy lemon butter sauce drizzled on top.
