Just had dinner at the Montgomeryville location. Our waiter Carlos gave us tthe best service we have experienced in a long while. The food was delicious and served in a very timely manner. Great job guys!

Had a family function here on a Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by how well everything worked out. The staff was great, the food was awesome and the entire family had a great experience. Carlos was our main waiter and he was pleasant and extremely patient with having a number of family members arrive at different times. The food was hot and displayed perfectly. All of the staff who brought the food were very professional. We had apps and desserts as well. It was a perfect time. Again thanks to Carlos !

12-16-22 just visited the new outback at the Montgomery Mall for the first time. I loved the new remodel, it is awesome! The food was underwhelming and the service was just ok. The sirloin steaks were tasty but tougher then usual. The coconut shrimp was good but the the special hot shrimp was bipolar. I loved the hot sauce , blooming onion sauce kicked up to a high heat ! This is not for the customer that doesn't enjoy a major kick. The breading was the blooming onion coating and was extremely greasy. The shrimp were also very small , like 60 per pound small but but But they were tasty.
Loved the new look but definitely didn't love the steaks . Took awhile to visit and it will probably be awhile before I return.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Outback SteakhouseMar 22, 2018Previous reviewHad a very good 9 oz sirloin tonight, tasty & tender. Also I love the blue cheese wedge salad and it's only a $1.00 additional charge. They forgot to put the balsamic drizzle on the salad but promptly brought it as a side. It makes the salad , it's good without it but fantastic with the balsamic.
Jun 23, 2017Previous reviewI honestly don't frequent this outback although it is right around the corner. I went there last night for dinner and it was actually very good. I had order of ribs and they were excellent, as good or better then Texas Roadhouse. You can't help but compare these places as they are very similar. I do like the ambiance at outback better but I think Texas Roadhouse is better and has better steaks.
We really went to outback to get a blue cheese wedge and it was as good as I remember.
The ribs were great but the salad was the side and it only came with one side. Do when the entree came it was ribs and that's it. I really don't get how they can only offer one side, roadhouse comes with two sides so you can get a salad and when you get your entree it is not alone.
I will say that there are many things I like at outback and when they have crab legs they are usually very good. I have just say had so many disappointing steaks here I am just hesitant to order a steak.
I have been frequenting longhorn as I feel steaks are better then roadhouse or outback.
Will be back to outback though for the blue cheese wedge! - Nov 27, 2022
Party of 3 on sunday evening at 7:00/7:30pm ish
We had an amazing dinner night, our server, his name was Max(? Sorry if i spelled wrong) he was very gentle, kind, and pleasant and thoughtful!
We wanted to get different tablet he did not interrogate us but promptly accommodated our wants. And offered us refill of complimentary house bread, which was served warm and soft!! Even though we didn't need refill, that was very thoughtful I thought.. and checked on us multiple times to ensure food was perfect for our taste and preferences etc..
promptly brought us everything on our request
Steak was cooked very well - medium rare! Just how i like it!
Salad was fresh
Only con(?) was that the lobster tail was bit too tiny and steak seems so small for 6oz but overall it was very good experience and perfect night! and at the end, i dont think Max was waiting for us to leave lol but coincidentally he held the exit door open for us when we were leaving and smiley and pleasant face for the entire night! Which made our night!
My brother worked in food industry for long time himself (host to server to cook) he complemented cooks and the service we received tonight and highly satisfied with tonight's experience. He gave more than 20% tip, he wanted to give 30%. (Lol)
We will definitely revisit!!Helpful 6Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 0 - Oct 15, 2022Updated review
Since my first review of this Outback, they've moved to a much more accessible area a few miles down the road in front of the Montgomeryville Mall (where TGI Friday's used to sit). The building looks good inside and out. The best part about this move is their bar area is much larger.
One of my biggest gripes about them in their former location was the unbelievably slow service of getting drinks from the bar. I honestly felt like I had to order two at once it was so bad. Now, the same bartenders are working, but if you can sit in the bar area and have one of the bartenders serve you...the service is phenomenal.
The food is what it is. It's Outback so I'm not expecting a ground breaking steak for $20-$30. One time they had a Bloomin Shrimp appetizer that was a complete abomination but their Bloomin Onion is always a crowd pleaser. The steaks are typically cooked right, on one occasion mine was far overdone and they started a new one quickly, the manager came over and apologized. They owned the mistake which is all I ask for.
All in all, the move seemed to be a good thing for them.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Nov 11, 2019Previous reviewOutback used to be the spot to go for steaks. No matter what day or time they were packed but the wait was worth it. They even setup their restaurants on sites that are less desirable because they are a dining destination. For this location that shipped seems to have sailed.
We've visited this Outback a number of times over the past few years. Unfortunately what should be consistent is far from it...their ability to cook a steak. Almost every time a steak temperature is far off the mark. For a business that deals in beef in the quantities they do, I find this a tough pill to swallow.
What is consistent is both good and bad. The bad is their bar staff that works Friday and Saturday nights. Not much of a personality to speak about and if you're in the dining room you're waiting on them for a very, very long time for drinks. The good is the serving staff in the dining room. They are attentive, polite and accommodating. It just gets old when the service staff has to constantly apologize for long waits on drinks from the bar and steaks that are not cooked properly. - Danielle F.Ambler, PA11066Jul 26, 2023
The service we received here was top notch our waitress was amazing. She was so friendly and made our little date night that much better. The food for the most part was pretty good but the steak was kind of dry and the fried Oreos were just not it. I'm a person that loves fried Oreos but those tasted very different. The strawberry salad was perfect I absolutely loved it and my drink was so good tasted like Rita's water ice.An affordable place to eat great service the restaurant was clean.

The burgers here are excellent! Food doesn't take long to come out of the kitchen which is always a bonus. The noise was minimal and the overall vibe of the restaurant was great. Clean and pleasant smelling bathrooms. The staff took a while to come back to give us the check. They appear to be understaffed.

The only reason this gets 2 stars is because the food is up to outback's usual standards and it's a much nicer place then the previous location's ambiance. Our Waitress Marisa T. may have been the slowest waitress I've had. It took us about 20 minutes to order, which I understand, so we put our appetizer and entree order in at the same time thinking a logical person would bring them out separately, but no. Entree came out first and appetizer came out after. Again everything was great taste wise but soon thereafter waiting about 40 mins, we needed drinks. Marisa never checked on us once after getting us our food at 5:00. At around 5:20 we found her walking past our table to ask for drinks and she said they'll be right out, but 5:40 rolls around and no sign of her, so we ask another waiter and he brought them right out, no wait at all, same with our box. After 20 more minutes we have the check, but again, checking all our other tables, not us. After what an excruciating wait and the thought of never seeing our debit card again, we are finally free of this prison like "dining" experience at around 6:20. Absolutely disgraceful and appalling, and most likely not be back or recommend this location, for fear our friends go through a terrible experience like this.
EDIT: thank you for commenting Amy, but I did contact that email already and they are yet to get back to me which is absolutely absurd if you care about your customer satisfaction.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Deep fried Oreos are top notch. Bone in rib-eye was cooked perfectly. Loaded potato soup was killer. The strawberry salad had really sweet and the strawberries were super fresh. The waitress was perfect and lovely. It was a great dinner. This used to be a Fridays but they completely renovated the inside. I love the vibe and the lighting is perfect. All together a great dinner.
