My son and I decided to give this place a try, and planned to just go through the drive-thru, but it had a sign that read phone orders only. So, we parked and went into the restaurant. We ordered 3 carne asada tacos and a carnitas burrito to-go.

There are an array of different kind of salsas, pickled jalapeños, limes, and tortilla chips for you to pack or eat as you wait. It wasn't long and our food was ready. We grabbed the bag and decided to eat a little in the car before we took off. Let me tell you, they do NOT skimp on meat. Lots of meat pouring out as you take bites. The carnitas burrito is only meat, guacamole, and pico de gallo. So if you want the whole shebang, you need to order the Super Burrito.

Overall, we will definitely be ordering food from here again. The restaurant was clean and service was good.

Sorry no pics, but next time

Oscars has been my go-to FOREVER! The Cali burrito with no pico and add avocado is my fave. I used to work right around the corner and wish I could go more now that I work farther away. Burritos are HUGE for the price.

I visited Oscar's Very Mexican YEARS back for a breakfast burrito that I remembered being pretty good, but hadn't been back since, despite driving by its West Sacramento and Land Park locations all the time. I went in yesterday evening with excitement to try it out again, as I remembered the breakfast burrito being pretty solid!

I got there around 5:30 and aside from one other person there, things were pretty slow. I noticed a menu upon entrance, which was a little hard to read. Some items were taken off, prices were put on with stickers and contradicted other pricing elsewhere, and it seemed like the menu overall was in need of an update. Another thing, the menu wasn't in eyesight of the cash register stand, so I realized I had to decide my order heading to the cashier. The way this was displayed also made it so no one working saw me come in. Just kind of an awkward set up.

Once I got to the cash register, the cashier was very friendly and I ordered a supreme quesadilla (comes with carne asada, guacamole, and sour cream), a large soda, and a cream filled churro. She gave me the soda cup and I filled it with Diet Coke and headed to the salsa bar to grab some chips and salsa. There were four varieties of salsa available along with pickled jalapeños. All good here! Chips were fairly standard but I munched on chips and salsa as I waited for my quesadilla, which didn't take long.

The quesadilla was generously portioned, but was a little underwhelming, otherwise. Not sure why, but there just wasn't a ton of flavor there for me. I tried the carne asada on its own and it was pretty good! So something between the cheese, sour cream, and guac was weighing it down. Maybe the rest just wasn't well seasoned? Not sure. It came out quick and again was generously portioned, but I wouldn't get this again. Nothing was wrong with it, but it just wasn't good enough to order again. I definitely felt a little disappointed here and wished I had gotten something else, but a quesadilla just sounded good at the moment.

The churro, on the other hand, was great! Lots of cinnamon, filled with cream, and piping hot! Also, very inexpensive at less than $2. I'd stop by just for the churro if I were driving by and in the mood for something sweet.

I asked the cashier for a box and bag to take half of my quesadilla home in, refilled my Diet Coke, and left. The cashier thanked me and was on my way.

From what I remember about the breakfast burritos, it seems like breakfast is the way to go here. That said, some menu and ambience changes could go a long way here. I live close by so I'd love for Oscar's to be a spot I visited more frequently, but I'm not sold yet based off off the quesadilla alone.

When I entered the restaurant, there was two employees, in the front of the restaurant. They never made verbal contact with me.
I stood there for several minutes. They never acknowledged my presence. It was as if I wasn't even there. I was the only customer in the restaurant. So they were not busy. A female stood about five feet from me wiping down the counter and a male who was standing a few feet behind her. Neither of them acknowledged that I was there. After standing there for several minutes I left. It was quite obvious that they didn't intend to provide me with service.

Solid place!!! Came with a huge group for an after-soccer party on a Sunday and they took such great care of us.

Love the self serve chips and salsa bar! The red is HOT! Verde salsa is flavorful and yummy.

Hubby had the carnitas burrito and loved it! I had a taco/enchilada combo and it was REALLY good! Such a delish enchilada sauce! Kiddo stuck with a bean and cheese burrito and was happy as can be!

This place is clean, well-staffed, food is major yum and we will be back!

I have ordered from Oscar's many times. Their food is delicious. But today was disappointing. I ordered on line for delivery and my order was wrong. I called and was told she couldn't find my order. I told her I had my receipt and it was found. She wanted me to bring it in and get the replacement. I told her I couldn't which is why I had it delivered. She said she would call her manager and call me back. Not surprisingly, I received no call back.

After eagerly anticipating a visit to Oscar's for two months, we finally had the opportunity to stop by today. The restaurant's spacious interior impressed us, and their sauce bar offered a wide array of options. The individual who took our order was both friendly and efficient. Regrettably, I must assign a one-star rating to our experience due to the food we received.

Our order consisted of two carne asada super burritos, one of which was customized to exclude lettuce, beans, and cheese. To our dismay, both burritos were missing meat, and the specially ordered burrito still contained lettuce. This left us unsatisfied and disappointed, particularly considering the $22 price tag for what turned out to be poorly assembled veggie burritos. While we typically enjoy supporting small businesses, this experience fell far short of our expectations and I cannot in good conscience recommend this place.

I'm hooked on their burritos both breakfast and lunch/dinner. Always delicious food. If you phone in your order you can use the drive-thru to pick up. The people are so friendly. I would recommend Oscar's it will satisfy your hunger in a tasty way.
