Ology

This is my go to spot for hand picking a new addition for my collection. The man who opened it is no longer with us but I believe he would be so proud of his younger family members running the Ology show now. They are friendly, have a stellar array of options, reasonable prices & a well of wisdom on the different benefits of each gift from Gaia! Check them out, you will be glad you did!

The owner/employee behind the counter was too busy on what sounded very much like a personal call to greet customers. 'You break, you buy' stickers slapped on every shelf aren't terribly welcoming. Prices are higher than other, similar shops in the area and price labels like '75¢ - $5' without any kind of clarifying information about what determines the price don't elicit a lot of confidence. Dust everywhere makes me question how much the owner(s) care. If you can't be bothered to clean up every once in a while, I'll find somewhere else to spend my money. I had high hopes for this spot, but I won't be back.

A must visit in the Old Sac area! Very, very impressed and feeling grateful I went to this shop today. The men that work at this store are so kind, unfortunately I don't know them by name but they know who they are.

Genuine people show in their business and they truly have a beautiful selection of stones and excellent energy and customer service. They were great listeners and were able to help me find exactly what I was looking for at a wonderful price.

Keep shining with your positive energy, it really made a difference in my day and I love my new special Azurite. Stay safe and happy holidays!

I visited the store while in town from Atlanta. I'm not an expert but I travel for work and have visited crystal shops across the US and can truly say this one was really special. The inventory is expansive and the prices were MORE than responsible from what I've seen! The owner/manager and his brother were both helpful and hospitable to my family and I. We really enjoyed the experience of looking for our crystals and they were helpful with finding stones with specific properties/ purposes! I really pray this place flourishes. I plan to visit every time I'm in town. Should the guys from the store see this review, THANK YOU, WE APPRECIATE YOU AND WISH YOU WELL

This place is truly unique and has the most interesting crystals and mineral specimens of any place I've seen in Sacramento. I do wish that there was more of an effort to organize and label everything and make it easier to sift through, but on the upside the current setup makes it feel even more like a treasure hunt. You will find things here that you just won't find anywhere else, and at pretty reasonable prices. They also have a table with 50% off items that always has interesting pieces. I saw that one person gave this shop a one star review because they said their malachite was fake because it turned black when they burned it. This is ridiculous for many reasons. One, you should never burn malachite. Two, if you put any crystal in a flame you will get black soot. This person clearly had no idea what they were talking about. Everything I've seen in this shop is genuine. Occasionally items are mislabeled, but I've seen that happen at practically every crystal shop I've been to. In any case, this is my favorite place to go for unique crystals, gemstones, and minerals. It feels like a well guarded secret so I almost don't want to post this, but the shop deserves more kudos for how great it is.

The shop offers hand sanitizer at the front door and all staff members are wearing appropriate PPE! On top of Covid protocols, the selection is huge and there's fun stuff to look at everywhere. I was able to buy my candles, essential oils, and re up on my crystal selection. The owner is very informative and easy to talk to. They have sales sometimes as well! The 50% off table was well stocked and full of really good product. I will be coming back here again in the future

Amazing selection of popular and obscure crystals/minerals. The people working there have always been warm and accommodating, allowing me to slowly stare at everything for like 2 hours. The gentleman that seems to always be working there has been nothing but lovely and his positive attitude that ive seen every time ive been there is infectious!

Got my first Crystal here, a rose quartz tower. I loved the story of how the grandfather passed on his legacy to his grandchildren. The guy at the shop was so nice and genuine. Will continue coming back!

my boyfriend and i came here after searching for nearby crystal shops. it's a super cool store and i bought a couple of pieces: fluorite tower, orange calcite, bumble bee jasper, and malachite tumbles. when i got home, my cousin was saying how the malachite felt weird which is what i thought as well after purchasing malachite from a different store. the malachite here is fake. i did the burn test and to my surprise, it's fake. due to this, i tested all the crystals i got from here, some did not burn but just from the malachite, i will not be coming back here
