Just wondering if they do sell breakfast or not? I went in today to finally try but was confused lol. Also the menu for hot food was blanked out with white paper so I left. Are the only serving what's in the fridge and things around store?

      A:

They have done away with breakfast/brunch due to the person who ran it moved. They have considered bringing it back but haven't found anyone to bring it back

We all know that this place has a very good, very reasonably priced coffee, but I'm here to praise their sandwiches, scones, and cakes!

If you're craving a more European-style sandwich, which is lighter but packed with flavour and good ingredients, THIS IS YOUR PLACE!

My top 2 are: The Duke (chicken, tzatziki, lettuce, tomato, provolone on a crunchy, NOT soggy, baguette), and Terracina (buffalo mozzarella, sun dried tomato, fresh basil, olive oil and balsamic on herbed focaccia). I am salivating just thinking about those!

If you feel like having something sweet, their cakes (NY cheesecake, carrot, lemon curd, apple) and scones are ah-mazing, too.

I know that the sandwiches are made in-house, not sure where the pastries are from, but this place is a must!

Sandwiches sell out fast, so be there before 10am

      Service is always top-notch.

Not to sound cheap, but this is worth mentioning:
This place will never push you for tips when you're paying. They have a modest jar for tips, and that's all.

At the time of writing this review, they also have a sandwich card promo, where you collect some to get one free.

      Highly recommend!

So sad, what happened to you Olive Market? You used to have awesome breakfasts with egg tacos and pancakes and burritos, portions and prices were great! Your bakery was always stocked as well as the cold food items and the employees were so cool, they became friends. Now, it is common to find that everything is sold out or unstocked, you don't offer those great breakfasts anymore, and your employees are all cordial, but it just doesn't have that home town, down the street, I wanna be there kind of vibe that it used to. I'm just going to throw it out there for the sake of it, I have seen many people come by after closing time, which is 2:30 and leave looking a little disappointed...couldn't you extend your hours a bit, even to 4:00?

I've waited a long time to write this review since this used to be one of my favorite spots in Redlands. But over the years olive market has really gone downhill. On multiple occasions I've come in and their refrigerators and pastry cases have been nearly empty, and that's not even right before closing (which is a whole other issue on its own). They used to stay open later years ago, but now they close at 2:30 which seems way too early for a cafe of its kind in my opinion. I believe it happened during Covid when they were short staffed, but now 4 years later they still claim to be short staffed? Their weekend breakfast used to be sooo good! And now there's far less options and the value has gone way down. One of the final straws was when I came in for a breakfast burrito, and they had them all sitting on the counter by the register wrapped in foil, not kept in a warmer or a refrigerator. Eggs, meat and dairy should be stored in proper temperatures, not left on a counter for hours to spoil. Very off putting. I truly hope they improve these conditions, because I used to really enjoy spending my time here, now it seems I get disappointed more often than not when coming here.

Love the chai lattes here. I typically get them with some kind of milk alternative (soy or oat) for a treat. They're on the sweeter side, which is just fine by me. Also love the random collection of drinks and snacks that they offer. I do miss their breakfast menu though :(.

This here is a cute little coffee/breakfast spot that can get a little bit busy. So come early if you don't want to miss out on good breakfast burritos or coffee.

I just happened to pass by and decided, hey, I need coffee and a breakfast burrito. Good thing Olive Avenue has both. So much flavor packed into the burrito and so much comfort packed into the coffee.

Seating is very limited so you make what you will of it. Parking seems to be limited to street parking but it's never going to be LA level parking so you'll be fine.

Man, where to begin. I came here after a run since it was convenient although it's not my favorite place. SURPRISINGLY enough it's still not my favorite and that's mainly due to the staff. The girl that took our order seemed annoyed that I was ordering coffee. My friend ordered a bagel and the barista rudely let her know that she could warm up her own bagel. We got two scones and I wouldn't have gotten them if I knew they were going to be cold. My iced coffee had the smallest amount of ice and the barista didn't bother to make sure my coffee was cold before giving it to me.
I will absolutely avoid this place from now on.

Came here because we were looking for breakfast and coffee in Redlands. This is located on Olive Street (duh), next to a bunch of beautiful old mansions. It's in a historic residential area and parking can be found out on the wide street. I'd describe the inside of the market like a general store in the wilderness or like you're on the set of a movie or t.v. scene that takes place in a general store in the wilderness. You can totally work or study here as the ambiance is really unique and you'll never be hungry or thirsty as they have a fully stocked fridge with food and drinks, a coffee bar and sundries and such. All they need is a few gas pumps and it's basically a home away from home.
Unfortunately we came here at around noon thirty and they were sold out of breakfast burritos and I discovered it's not really a restaurant/cafe, but more of a market with a coffee bar and a fridge that sells items made at the market, I.e. roasted pepper gnocchi, mac salad, a variety of sandwiches, etc. I would go here to get a picnic lunch and then take it to one of the thousands of parks in this city and have a picnic. They also make their own mini charcuterie kits (think lunchables style) which would be ideal to take to the Hollywood Bowl and stuff like that. It's definitely worth visiting and a really great spot to study or work from.

What a cute little, very local neighborhood coffee and sandwich shop. For a neighborhood breakfast and lunch only, they have limits but yet offer a bunch of various treats. While they have tried to leverage their location to other chefs, these offerings can be a hit or miss. Kudos for the effort. While we didn't go today for their sandwiches, we have had their "grab and go" sandwiches for dinner before Redlands Bowl Performances and were extremely happy with the freshness and taste.

Today we had the honey whole wheat scone, see pic. It was a bit drier than what I expected, but it was wholesome, deep in wheat flavor and had a nice outside crunch - still soft on the inside. We heated it in the public microwave. But the best advice came from the barista when she suggested I add honey and cinnamon. This was the best advice that I received all week.

While this weekday morning was slow, I've been there on the weekend when it was packed. So be patient. There is shaded patio seating on the north side of the building.

Tried to bring two friends from out of town to show this market off today and I was embarrassed.  Do not come here on a Sunday I guess. All their cases were empty. Of the 30 or so sandwiches they offer there were like 3 to pick from and in total like 5 sandwiches in the entire case. There were no cookies or pastries in the entire dessert case and the few that were sitting there looked old. This was at the peak of lunch time 11:30am. I asked why the cases were empty and I was told they were short staffed. I don't understand how you can run a business or even open with no product or offerings??? Also the place is very dirty inside and out. People are off the weekend and make plans and expect stocked cases. I ended up having to apologize to my friends. I won't be back.

Found my way to the Olive Avenue Market recently and discovered a gem in Redlands. Staff is fantastic: warm, personable, patient, and efficient. I was on the way to work and my husband was going to drop me off. We stopped in to grab coffee and breakfast on the go. There was a big selection of things one could typically find in a small market from drinks, sandwiches, snacks, pastries, and coffee. Lots to choose from! I ended up trying a Pumpkin Pie Cold Brew with oatmilk and a Lemon Poppyseed scone. My husband tried a Redlands Bowl and the Clement. The cold brew was tasty and was definitely infused with the right amount of pumpkin flavoring. I'm not normally a scone person, but something behind the pastry glass was calling me to taste it. It was an excellent choice! Very fresh and a perfect texture. My husband enjoyed his selections as well. The Clement was LOADED with peanut butter and we had no complaints.

The establishment itself was clean and well-decorated to bleed Redlands pride. All of the nods and accents to Redlands sprinkled throughout the space solidified why this spot is so popular for locals. There was a good amount of seating inside of the market, but they also had several seating options outside for patrons to enjoy their coffee or food in the beautiful, Fall weather.

I would definitely visit Olive Avenue Market again as part of my morning routine to work in the future if time permits. Looking forward to returning soon and trying more of their coffee options and pastries!
