I was staying at a hotel right across the street, but it was only a halfway past my stay when I realized Ohori's Coffee was there. Their sign is small, but the logo caught my eyes... it's a school house crest of my kindergarten back in Japan!
I had Ohori's amazing latte every day until I left Santa Fe. Also went to the other location, and the gift shop too. Their coffee is aromatic, deep, and enjoyable. The staff is very nice, attentive and with lots of positive vibe, and the bakery items are also very fresh and tasty.
They've been in business over 40 years in Santa Fe. There's a reason. And of course I am partial to Japanese-American businesses.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - JD G.Silver City, NM170Mar 3, 2024
This place haas always been top shelf or fresh roasted coffee from all of the worlds three growing regions. Hands down the best coffee roaster and cafe in New Mexico area. Both locations in Santa Fe are similar, so stop in the one along your way, next time you are in Santa Fe.

I would give this place a 3.5. It was very clean, staff was friendly, and you were able to buy from local artists in store which was cool.
It is more of a dark roast coffee shop which my husband prefers lighter roasts so not his favorite. It went down for me because my turmeric latte was pretty lack luster.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Peer K.San Francisco, CA02Jan 12, 2024
I love this cafe. The coffee is amazing and I always take a pound home with me. I drive from Albuquerque just to go here.

The coffee is good, and definitely worthy of a stop if you are visiting Santa Fe. The location we visited only allowed drive-up due to covid restrictions. The line was long, so be ready to wait. According to the locals this is the best coffee shop in town, definitely better than Starbucks.

Damn good latte. From the chipper staff to the easy grip insulated cup, Ohori's was excellent.

I was excited when I read the description of the organic drip. I ordered a small and my husband a medium. I'm so sad to report that the coffee is so so so bitter (yes 3 so's). It's completely burnt. I literally went to the restroom to dump my coffee down the drain. Now with that being said, the chai latte with coconut milk is delicious, the matcha lattes with oat milk are also delicious. I ordered a vanilla latte after I dumped my drip and it was also really good but as the drink cooled down I could taste the bitterness of the espresso. I ended up dumping it with about 1/3 left.
There is no where to sit which is a bummer. I really would love to see these roasters improve their skill. I think everything else works here but you're a coffee shop, if you can't get the beans right, I can't see your place having longevity.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Robert R.NM, NM04Apr 15, 2023
Today was the third time I've waited over 10 minutes to be helped, yet there were 5, count them 5 employees behind the counter, and 1 person ahead of us. One customer just left after waiting too long. The staff is not friendly and appear disinterested in the job they do. I like their coffee a great deal, and will give my business to the other location closer to downtown where the staff is attentive and very friendly. The folks at the Saint Francis location need some serious training in customer service. I chose to leave without being helped.

Super friendly folks, and a great selection of coffee beans at reasonable prices. A lot of folks seem not to like the dark roasts, so I'd recommend sticking with the lights or mediums if you're not into "burnt" coffee, esp since your burnt might be someone else's perfectly dark.

Ordered a mocha. Standard is only one shot instead of two, like most other places. Extra shot is only $.80 more, though. They use french roast for the espresso, and even with the chocolate syrup and milk it was really bitter. Wouldn't go back
