multiple isles were roped off that you could not go down. I paid more for Swiffer products than I would have at Target and the towels I bought were full of lint after multiple washes. will not be back

Ocean State Job Lot took over the old Hooksett Wal-Mart space at the Granite State Marketplace several months ago. The new Hooksett Wal-Mart is now a Supercenter located across the river on Route 3A.
Ocean State Job Lot specializes in selling overstocked and close-out merchandise at very low discounted prices including housewares, baking/kitchen items, outdoor items, apparel, toys, electronics, sundries, hardware, furniture, Oriental rugs, office/school supplies, books, cards, pet supplies, decorations, seasonal items, a pretty good selection of non-perishable groceries, and more. This store is pretty organized compared to other discount stores (ie. Big Lots) I've shopped at and I can move around this store without tripping over things.
I've shopped here several times since the store opened and on each visit the some of the selection keeps changing with high turnover. Earlier this year, they had Crocs for under $10 and For Dummies books for $3.99, great prices, but no longer in stock on my last visit. In the food section, there were plenty of pastas, sauces, can goods, cereals, oils, nuts, snacks, boxed foods, preserves, and bottled drinks. I got some Gnocchi for $1.25 each and marinara sauce for $1.50 each and some mixed nuts for $2.50. I do shop around and found some of the prices for similar items were cheaper than Wal-Mart, and many of the smaller items (school supplies) I can get for less at Dollar Tree. The food prices are a real bargain here compared to Shaw's across the lot.
Recently, I was heading to a meeting, but I realized did not have a tie and a nice belt. So I decided to pull into Ocean State Job Lot and I picked up a men's belt for $5 and tie for $4.99, in and out! This store saved the day!Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Brenda L.Wolfeboro, NH792Jun 13, 2018

I am in job lots know standing in a line wrapped around the front of the store to the back of the store. There is no social distance in this store . I am not happy with the way this place is run. Only two cash register open and no manager up front. I will be staying out of this store for along time, Until they get there act together.

Job lot is hit or miss sometimes, and the stuff you buy hear may have that shipping container from Asia, or where-ever, smell. I think its insecticide or tears.
Any who you can find some great off season deals that will make you happy to take this over stock cargo off their hands.
3 tips to happy hunting at Job Lot:
1. Steer clear of the electronic stuff, unless it's close out sales on cords, or cables that you know that your going to need at some time. The cheep price for that iPod dock knock-off comes at the coast of not having a power cord or some other clever price saving trickery.
2. They get in some weird stuff, price check and review the brand before you impulse buy that "temperpeea-rip off" mattress that forever holds said mentioned container smell.
3. If your going to buy anything thing edible, no judgement, just check the expiration. This goes for all the other house hold supplies.
I'm not sure what happens from useing expired deodorant and/or shampoo, but I don't want to find out.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Tony P.Manchester, NH6567111Jan 17, 2015

I went here until several of their best people left. Ocean State apparently does not value good help or people and fires them or drives them out.I have since stopped shopping here because of how they treat their employees past and present.

Why is this store always a wreck? Can never find anything, nothings in its place. Puts people off if they can't find anything or you feel like you have to rummage the shelves!
