Got off the phone five minutes ago. Here's the exchange verbatim.

Me: "Hey, I'd like to place an order for pick-up".

Female on the other end of the line at La Perucha: "Errr, Spanish?"

Me: Fumbles while thinking if I've got the vocabulary to pull that off. "Umm, no sorry. Only English".

La Perucha: *Chuckles and hangs up phone.

This place is improving. I can tell from the time of my prior review they're taking steps to address customer feedback. This makes me happy and makes me want to seem the succeed.

The pancakes are great and this time they provided some syrup. But this is the second time I've had the pancakes and they are exceptional.

Now they have other Peruvian food like chicken with ají sauce. Excellent. Better than Pío Pío. The aji sauce is even spicier!

Prices were changed and are more reasonable.

This is a good spot and I will return. Good luck! Keep up the great work!

This place truly doesn't disappoint. Came for breakfast on Sunday. Amazing. The lomo is sooo good! They service it with kaiser rolls so you can dip into the lomo juices. Amazing. The staff is great and oh so friendly. Really love to come here!

My boyfriend loves the tamales - he always gets the chicken and the chicharon!

I always order food to go but for my birthday my family and I ate dinner there. The tamales yum. The lomo yum. The spaghetti saltado yum. The soup yum. The jalea was nice and fresh made, not reheated and over oil. The waitress lovely and the owner a very lovely lady. They made my birthday very special. Thank you. I will definitely come back and eat there when I don't feel like cooking jijiji.

This is absolutely my favorite lunch place to go to. I have become a regular customer. They will make any sandwich you create, hot or cold. I love their Philly cheesesteak and chicken cutlet sandwiches. Their prices are the cheapest in town! They also serve rotisserie chicken with rice and beans or other side orders (that's their specialty). At night they transition into an authentic Peruvian menu. On Fridays they specialize in fish/seafood options. They offer desserts too made fresh. my fav is the half chocolate flan! They also cater. Love them and everyone must try!

Food was decent, but pricing is out of whack. Very defensive when I brought up pricing issue. Insisted on over charging me.

      1/4 chicken - $4.99
      1/2 chicken - $6.99
      1/4 chicken w/fries & salad - $8.99
      1/2 chicken w/fries & salad - $15.99 ?!?!?

Now, this, my friends, is how Peruvian chicken, salchipapas and sauce are done!!!

The food in this place was fantastic!!! We noticed it had three names - County Deli, Gera's Cakes, and another Peruvian name on the door, but after eating there - I think it may deserve all those names.

There were locals there getting Takeout deli sandwiches, but our group went for the specials and the chicken combo. Food was abundant, AUTHENTIC, and hands down delicious. The chicken was flavorful, the green sauce was to die for, with a late spicy kick, the fries - heavenly twice fried. As one group member put it - "This is the best day of my life".

Veronica was so accommodating, the service impeccable, and the red velvet flan cake?! Who would have even thought of such a combo?! Epic.

We were so engrossed in the food that we completely forgot to leave a tip. But we will be back to make up for it!!!! Thank you so much!

Amazing Peruvian food especially if you want a good Peruvian breakfast. Their tamales, fired sweet potato chips and chicaron are out of these world. The owner also makes delicious empanadas that are too good for just one.

Excellent morning breakfast with the family! Took home so much dessert!! We ordered the blood sausage, 2 tamales and eggs, as well as Chicharon! It was awesome! Delicious!

Dessert was Alfajor and some beans mixed with sugar, which was amazing!
      Thank you!!

This was my first time here. A bunch of us went. It's a deli located right right across from the court houses. There are tables inside. It's not fancy but it's clean. On weekends only they serve fresh homemade Peruvian food. Wow! It was good!! Not one negative remark from my party if six. Between us we had tacu tacu, which is fried rice and beans served with marinated onions. It was topped with two over easy eggs and the yolks just oozed into the rice and bean cake. You can taste the delicious cilantro in the onions. So good. Both the chicken and beef tamales were huge and so delicious. The corn flavor was so fresh tasting. The chicharons were good as were the fried sweet potatoes. The lomo was served with steak, tomatoes and onions and swam in a delicious brown sauce. The eggs salchida was full of flavor. Everything was made to order and came hot steaming hot. Also served with two spicy sauces, and the heat was just right. It wasn't crowded; I don't think many people know about this place. We had breakfast and would recommend to all. Will definitely go back.
