Truly enjoyed the food here! The line was short and we were served quickly!
I ordered the carne asada tacos (steak), chips and salsa, and my bride ordered Nachos. Truly delicious food and served speedily and politely. Truly a delightful and delicious part of our day. You must try this place out on your next visit to Pier 1 in SF!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 21, 2019
Small taqueria tucked inside the Ferry Terminal building.
Lines are long, but move quickly. Seating is limited (mostly community-style tables), so be prepared to make a new friend.
The drink options include several flavors of agua fresca including, strawberry, tamarind, and red wine sangria. They also offer Mexican Coke, Mexican Squirt (a soda that's at the intersection of Orangina, Mello Yello and Sprite in my opinion), various flavors of Jarritos sodas, as well as an assortment of beers and wines. There's a sign on the menu saying that happy hour is from 3-6 pm. Not sure what it entails, though.
The tacos are a little expensive, given the portion size. Prices are per taco. For a carne asada taco, a fish taco, tortilla chips, guacamole and salsa, and a tamarina agua fresca... lunch was over $30. To be fair, this does include the automatic 15% gratuity added by the restaurant to offset the rising employer costs in this very expensive city; a fact that is printed clearly on both the menu and on the cash register. Good for them!
As for the food: The tortilla chips were thick, fresh, and delightfully crunchy. The salsa was watery and wasn't very flavorful. The guacamole was also bland. The carne asada taco was piled high with juicy steak, but the taco itself was so small and the meat also was lacking in flavor. The fish taco was my favorite part of the meal. The fillet was a piping hot portion of thick, flaky fish nestled on a bed of minced cabbage. The portion size was more than generous, but aside from the batter, it too lacked seasoning.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Dec 1, 2018
Nice view of the water. Cute decor inside. You pay at the counter and they give you a table top number.
Needed a quick snack and got the mushroom quesadilla. Was pretty small for $6 but, it was very tasty. Definitely Americanized taste. Wish they had a spicy salsa.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 22, 2018

Yes, I know, you expect better of me. Why would I ever even consider walking into a "Mexican" restaurant at the Ferry Building, right? Well, my (then) fiancee's family was here from China and I was the tour guide, and though I really wanted to take them to Hog Island, the line was epic, as always. So, seeing the food at this place was cheaper than others, and knowing I'm about to blow thousands upon thousands taking them around California in the next few weeks, I figured hey it's a good time to introduce them to Mexican food... and, all the cooks were true Mexican ladies, so I figured how bad could it be?...
Yeah, I was an idiot. I'd rather eat at Taco Bell.
1. Margarita $8.50: Pretty much the worst margarita I've had in my life. Some synthetic crap mixed with horrible tequila. Takes talent to make something so simple so awful. 1/10
2. Chicharron Burrito $6.00: Complete LIE. There's ZERO chicharron in there. Just straight over-boiled dry and stringy pork. The flour tortilla was dissolving in my hands from all the water inside. 2/10
3. Queso Fundido $7.50: For one, they forgot to bring this out. After wondering about it for an 1/2hr I finally asked, and finally it came. Solid. Came solid. The cheese was already hard. Also, the 3 small tortillas they gave were not nearly enough to finish the queso. At least the flavor was good, but man, still crappy. 3/10
Don't be me. Don't be stupid. Walk on by.

Dropped in for lunch with a party of 5. At noon, the line was to the door already. The line went quickly and we had trouble finding a table for 5. By the time we had settled on a table for 4, +1 chair, they started delivering our food.
Speed of service: 5 stars
The food tasted good, but we noticed inconsistencies. The person next to me and I both ordered tortas. Mine came with chips, salsa, and a few pickled veggies. Hers came with the same plus a cup of cheese cubes. Why the difference?
Food: 3 stars, would be higher if it was consistent.
Then everyone started complaining about the pricing. A torta is $9.50 on the menu board. But it rings up at $11.85! OK, sales tax is 9.75% but they have a little sign that says they are charging a 15% premium because of their costs. So, instead of changing the prices on their menu, to be honest with the customers, they lazily say that there will be a 15% upcharge. That is deceptive. It probably doesn't bother the tourists, but those of us who work in the City take umbrage to that.
To top it off, a Coke for $4.37?! A regular size bottle, no less. It's not a fancy restaurant or night club. That's a pricy Coke.

A great place to stop for a quick drink before catching the ferry to Sausalito. We had a couple of the best margaritas that we have had in a long time! When ordering chips and salsa, I added a side of guacamole. The server at the counter suggested that we order it another way to save money. Chips and guacamole with a side of salsa is a cheaper way to order it. It was really appreciated that she did that to save us a little bit, since it was extra work for her to change/ void out the order and redo it in our favor. Way to go!, an employee that really looks out for the customer. Go to the ferry early and stop for a drink ( or more)

Located in the Ferry Building in the City, Mijita seems to always have room to sit when all the neighboring eateries are jammed packed with patrons piled deep waiting to be seated. This casual restaurant specializes in street style fish tacos and elote ( corn on the cobb Mexican style seasoned with butter, cotija ( Mexican cheese), cilantro and other delectable flavorings. There's a nice selection of Mexican beer ( including negra modelo and corona). This place is the perfect place to get something lite, fresh and authentic .

Was with a group of 6 before we took the ferry to Sausalito (had to wait 30 min for the next ferry) Ordered two basket of chips (paid) guacamole, salsa and a beer. Others bought a few beers too. We sat down waited with our number for our order to be called and was told that our order wasn't BIG enough for all of us to be sitting (by the waiter). The manager then came out and told us to leave, took our beers from our hands and told the waiter to not to give us our food that he was legit carrying out. When we asked for both of their names, they refused to give it to us, started speaking Spanish, we spoke in Spanish back to them and they still played dumb that they didn't know what we were saying.
DO NOT GO HERE, homophobic wait staff and management. Over half of the tables were open inside and out.
Also the table across from us asked for extra sour creme with their meal and they REFUSED to give them a dollop.
Very excited when this establishment gets run into the ground and goes bankrupt.
Would give 0 stars if I could.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 10, 2019
I was surprised how much meat they put in my $6 chili Verde pork burrito and it was a good deal if you like meat like I do. But the meat was rather salty and needed more chili verde to balance it better. My wife's chicken tacos were good and they came with some nice jalapeños on the side. For the money its a good deal here but for great food, it's not a destination place.
Probably the best low cost meal deal here in the Ferry Building.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 11Oh no 0 - Ginette P.New York, NY733181912555May 17, 2019
After walking around we wanted to just sit & get a nice cold beer, this seems to be the only place we noticed that has liquor.
We took a table outside & then went inside for beers, I had a Modelo negra great beer my company had a Corona not bad.
Sitting outside is nice during a nice day, people watching should be a sport Lollll. U get your own food / drinks inside seems to be pretty much self service, if you get food they do bring it out. We had beers so we got our own.
It was nice to sit & enjoy some drinks outside.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
