North Shore Kayak Outdoor Center

The kayaking rental we had with with North Shore was awesome. It was fun and exciting for the both the families on our trip. The gear that was provided was top notch and the staffs knowledge was impressive. The route we took put us past scenic lighthouses. On our way back Clay took us out to the breakers to play our boats in the surf with a whole mess of seals. The kiddos and adults had a blast!

This shop is the best, hands down! I have been renting kayaks at North Shore for the past two years. Not only do they have a great selection of kayaks and tours but the owner, Clay, is a genuinely awesome guy. During one of my multi-day rentals, Clay travelled all the way to my Airbnb to help troubleshoot a problem with my Kayak.

I use the shop mostly to rent kayaks for fishing and its always a great time (see attached photo). I will keep coming back!

Highly recommend this place! Had a great date with my fiancé out on the water. We even went for a swim while kayaking. Reservations were easy to make and the staff were super friendly and helpful with figuring out the perfect water adventure

These folks were an absolute lifesaver. A small group of us were biking the Gloucester loop and popped a tire. There were minimal options for repair until we heard about this shop. We walked down, diagnosed the issue and off we went. Thanks so much!

North Shore Kayak is located at very fun Bearskin Neck with lots of shops and restaurants so great place to hang out before and after. Clay was our tour guide and couldn't be nicer - very informative and interesting. We kayaked out to Straightsmouth Island - about 30 minutes out and 20 back with the current. Climbed the lighthouse with spectacular views. Great way to spend a summer afternoon

Convenient location in Rockport! Provided double kayak and directions to travel to Straightsmouth Island, where we met a volunteer guide who showed us around the lighthouse and refilled our water bottles. We saw wildlife including loons, deer, blue jays, and monarch butterflies.

Great selection of footwear and water sport supplies. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. And to top off, great music! Would recommend checking this place out when checking out the Wharf in Rockport.

Super friendly staff, very reasonable rates ($15 for 1 hr, $32 for 4hrs... even offered to do $25 for 2 hrs), and gorgeous waters. Good for beginner kayackers, waters are very tame. They offer to put away your valuables in a lock box for free! Right near tons of cute shops! Definitely park before you enter Tuna Wharf on the residential streets. Plenty of restaurants to eat at after a good couple hours of kayaking! Highly recommend!
