North Hollywood Hardware

I like to support mom & pop owned stores. I'm not sure about the mom & pop owned part but, this is NOT part of a chain. I could actually spend hours inside this little gem of a hardware store. They have a little of everything and of course, all of the stuff one goes to a hardware store for which I call "grown up stuff" (nails, screws, paint brushes, THAT kinda stuff). The man that helped me was great, he was knowledgeable and helpful but, left me alone so that, I could wander the aisles and buy stuff I didn't even know I needed but, now can't live without. I highly recommend North Hollywood Hardware.

Great neighborhood hardware store. Large inventory but the Fifth Star is awarded for the terrific background music.

They were SO friendly and helpful. And they gave my dog a treat! Super great team there. I'll come back for any house needs from here on out.

Best hardware store in the area. The guys here are so helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. They really take the time to figure out what you need. Highly recommend for all your hardware needs!

My all time favorite hardware store.
The owner and staff are incredibly knowledgeable. You will be greeted with a smile and be pleased that they know where everything is in the store.
They have some really obscure merchandise that is common to homes in the valley. I can send my wife or best friend (best friend pictured) and be assured that they will be taken care of with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. This is a fun place, I've been going here for over 25 years and I have never left aggravated. They have an answer for everything .

Ladies don't come here. They'll patronize you for wanting to buy a screwdriver. Not all women are dense to tools. I came in knowing exactly what I needed and patiently waited while the man assisted another customer. He then looks over at me and the screw driver and stares "umm that's really small I highly doubt it's the size you need" I told him it was and I would just like to pay so I can leave. He doubles down and says something along the lines that I didn't know what I was talking about and demanded to know the project I was working on so he could get me the right one. Now usually I don't get upset for unsolicited advice but when it comes in a condescending, rude tone while insulting my intelligence I take it personally. I wasn't asking for help. I don't know why he was hard pressed to insult my intelligence. Fun fact. My dads been a contractor for 40 years and a carpenter even longer. I grew up being taught about tools, wood work and carpentry. Now I perform all the repairs and build things for my job. Sorry if the pink LV and my Chihuahua threw you off but to assume something even after being told the patron had exactly what they were looking for is just plain rude.

Everyone who works there is super knowledgable and personable. If you are looking for something obscure/specific, they will probably have it! If they don't, they will help you brainstorm where/how else to find/do it. Huge light bulb selection. I saw Bill Nye The Science Guy figuring some project out with the employees there once, so you know it's gotta be good. The walls could use a dusting (if nothing else for the wonderful employees' lungs' sake), but it's still a 5 star business.

This is my new favorite hardware store! A family-owned and run business that went above and beyond customer service to help me with a smile!

The worm gear on my KitchenAid was worn down and I was determined to fix it myself.... I didn't quite do that, but I did make 3 visits, and was helped by 3 different workers on 3 different days, and each one of them carefully and patiently helped me. They helped me select tools I needed, and even helped me hammer the final rolling pin into the planetarium. I'll never go to another hardware store.

Great store. Very friendly crew knows instantly where every screw, bracket and lightbulb is, they know what you need and what product will serve you best -- and they are just fun to visit. Been going here for 30 years.
