I went to Nissan of Norwich, CT to have my brakes flushed because my pedal doesn't seem to be catching to stop my vehicle. It felt unsafe and like my pedal wanted to go all the way to the floor. I sat there for almost 2 hours on 11-03-23 only to be presented with a bill for $220.21. And although they did not flush my brakes, and let me drive home with the same unsafe condition, they charged me $150.98 for Labor. It was explained to me by Benjamin that they couldn't flush my brakes, but we will give you a credit when you bring it in on 11-10-23. They did rotate my tires which should not of cost me $220.21 in the final tally.
Not feeling comfortable with going back because I felt grossly taken advantage of, I called Nissan of Norwich, and was directed on the phone to the Manager, I believe his name was John. I told him that I was not happy with how they did not do the job that I went in for and instead insisted I come back to get new Calipers (which they should have told me in the beginning) , and then they would be able to flush my brakes and give me credit for not doing the brakes on 11-03-23. He begged me to keep my appointment which I attempted to cancel after making my complaint to him.
On 11-10-23 I took my vehicle back to Nissan of Norwich. The first thing that happens is a mechanic coming in asking me if I had problems starting the car today? My answer was "No", the car is in your lot so it must've been fine or it wouldn't be here on the Nissan Lot. They charged me $370.00 for a new battery, and I even went back and talked to John to complain again. He did not care, that was apparent and sarcastically informed that "I could vent to him anytime".
I went back to sit and wait for the next bang and sure enough I got my exit bill for $824.77. My brakes are still unsafe and my ABS, Slip light and other lights are constantly lighting up on my dash. I did explain that the ABS light was coming on when I brought the vehicle back on 11-10-23. I will be trading my vehicle in at a Nissan Dealership other than Norwich Nissan because I don't feel like they care about customers. They just care about how much money they can get out o them. My vehicle is unsafe and they have no idea how to flush brakes because at 88,000 miles on my 2010 Nissan Frontier, is doing the same thing that I took it to them to fix. Because of past car buying experiences, my most recent purchases have been done online. But this time I went back to the old fashioned way. I went to the dealership and I'm very glad I did. Nissan of Norwich is a professional place and they treated me kindly and with respect. Ryan was my salesman and Emily helped me over the phone. Both of them were helpful and courteous. I love my Sentra.

Very professional and helpful. Always use the internet first before I go to the dealer. That way I generally have an idea of a found about price and can set up a test drive before arriving.

I have to say that after three months of trepidation and shopping I went to Nissan of Norwich today. It was a very pleasant and peaceful event. I made a purchase and all paperwork was done seemingly smoothly and expeditiously. My day had started planning to go elsewhere decided on Nissan first. Furthermore; during the "hunt" they were the most efficient and pleasant when responding to inquiries. Too many dealers just don't respond. One dealer never responded to one request for info I made. Some responded only have repeated texts/emails. Just saying. So my new vehicle is in the driveway.. waiting for me. Thank You Nissan of Norwich!

My husband bought a car from them a month ago. He was having trouble with the brakes. Took the car back within a week, and they told him, they couldn't find anything wrong. He then took it to our machanic and found that the tires were worn and the brakes were not at the percentage that the should be. Took it back to the dealership and they are giving him the runaround, saying everything is fine. Brakes still squeaking and feels spongy. Looks like we won't be going there any time soon.

I see lots of negative reviews from this place. Not sure why. I had fine experience. Kind of silly bringing in a Toyota to a Nissan place, but I haven't had issues yet with this place and am still looking for a trustworthy shop. They seem trustworthy. They didn't have any recommended services because they didn't have time to do the check. Now that's honesty. Instead of just making up stuff without looking at the car that I need to make a quick buck off me. They state the truth. We didn't have time to check. I would return. They seem honest. Something not to common in auto service industry.

I recently purchased a vehicle and used the service department at Nissan of Norwich. I can't say anything but positive things about my experience with them. Everyone has been helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend them to my family and friends.

I wouldn't go back to this dealership if it was the last one in Connecticut. Went in for an oil change and was quoted $179 when I questioned the cost the service manager basically told me that I could leave. Asked to talk to the general manager and spoke to the assistant general manager who is your typical slimy used car salesman. Customer Service in that place is the worst. Will never go back even if I have to drive further to get my truck serviced.

Feb 15, 2020Previous reviewWent today for an oil change, the service guy got very agitated when I asked him to lay out the cost. He gave me a quote of $179. When I started to question him about the cost he basically told me he didn't want my service. So I went and talked to the assistant general manager who was the worst. The service guy had already called him in the minute it took me to walk there and he had already basically made his opinion. once again very poor communication skills and when I told him that I would never come back here, he didn't even care. Absolute terrible customer service and I'll never go back to this business again.

I came in looking for a car with my husband. We really had no idea what we were looking for. Only our first car dealership that we looked at and we had a great time! Becky was the representative that we spoke with and she was very knowledgable about all the cars on the lot! She was also very bubbly and energetic. She made our experience wonderful! Unfortunately we did not make a purchase. But we will be back!
