Nicholas G. Dose, DMD - Family Dentistry in Lake Oswego

This office canceled my new patient consult the day of after front office staff told me the appointment was confirmed (I had trouble getting one piece of new patient information in a timely manner but had this uploaded that morning) then told me they would call to reschedule. 3 weeks later while I am hurting with an active cavity I was seeking treatment for, they told me they would not accept me as a new patient because I expressed my frustration at the canceled appointment and promise to follow up without doing so.

My husband Scott and I recently moved to the Portland area, and before we had unpacked our things, a large filling had broken off my tooth. My husband just retired from dentistry, and so being the patient of another dentist was an odd feeling. That said, from our first call to schedule an appointment, we knew we'd found our dental home! The front office staff are incredibly warm, caring and professional, and when we entered the office, we were greeted by Riley their beautiful golden retriever support dog! You won't find oversized photographs of beautiful people with overly white teeth, instead you will find beautiful framed photographs taken by Dr. Dose himself! My tooth was fixed without an ounce of pain, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome! I know a lot about dental offices, so if you're looking for excellent dental treatment and staff who genuinely care about you and your dental needs, don't go anywhere else!

I was recommended my dentist in Eugene to check out Nicholas Dose as my next dentist. I started with a cleaning. Ben is nice, actually lets you talk, and did a fantastic job of cleaning my teeth. The office is sparkling, the staff is super friendly and Dr. Dose did a fantastic job of making me feel welcome as well as identifying what needs I may have in the future. I never felt gouged (for money or by the dentistry tools), nor did I feel anything less than appreciated for my business. It's fun to see offices and their upgrades in dentistry. My husband and I plan to make this our next 40+year dentist.

I have been a patient of this office for over 20 years. Dr. Dose took over the practice and he has been a fantastic dentist. I appreciate the time he takes to explain the options, time and costs involved. They have gone to lengths to work with me and when I needed two crowns they were able to quickly schedule my appointments. His staff are great and always welcoming. Thanks!

I moved here from the east coast recently, and my dental bonding discoloration has been bothering me. I decided to go see Dr. Dose because I drive by every day. My first appointment I was late, but reception and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Dr. Dose and his hygienist were very friendly and patient with my concerns, and explained all my options without pressuring me. I finally decided to get the porcelain crown, and was seen right away. His staff was incredibly friendly (I was a baby about getting my first crown!), and were very encouraging and joked with me to calm my nerves. They even offered a blanket, ipod and headphones to distract me from the noise. He was very calm, walked me through every step and really took his time. I was really impressed overall, my temporary crown looks amazing; can't wait to get the lab match for the real thing. Glad I bit the bullet! I absolutely recommend his practice : )

I don't usually post reviews, but my time with Dr. Dose was so positive that I wanted to make sure that others were able to benefit from my experiences. I have seen a number of different dentists over the years, and Dr. Dose provided by far the best experience I have had. I am typically a very nervous patient, especially when it comes to needles, so I was not looking forward to my appointment for a crown. The entire staff was so kind and welcoming, and I felt at ease right away when I met Dr. Dose. He did a great job explaining everything in terms I could understand, checking in frequently to make sure I was comfortable (he was so good I could barely even feel the needle!), and taking his time to make sure every procedure was done perfectly. I was extremely pleased not only with my office visit, but also with the quality of my new crown. If you're looking for a new dentist, I would highly recommend Dr. Dose and his staff at Lake Oswego Dental Care!
