This library has plenty of parking, plenty of seats for people to study and outlets at 90% of those seats. Even at the height of business, there are still plentiful areas for people to sit, study, relax, or do whatever they need to do. The staff's service is incredibly prompt as I placed a book on hold and the next day it was already there with name printed for me to pick up and self check out.
The atmosphere of the library is quiet and peaceful. Probably my favorite library in the area.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - Carla G.Los Angeles, CA0261Apr 22, 2024
What a wonderful job Orange County does with its libraries. I have the best time going to the big library in Newport Beach. The new one in Costa Mesa on park Avenue by 19. It's just fantastic. They did such a great job with every modeling staff. Couldn't be any kind very professional. You can get books that cost $30 at target in return, then in 2 weeks. This.
Is a special treat!!!
God bless orange in so many ways.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Darwish A.Dublin, CA02410Apr 1, 20241 check-in

Super fun place to bring kids and kill some time , can't go wrong with library time however if you need to get energy out of kids before or after there is the walking trail with changing art sculpture. My daughter and I always have a blast while I get to ensure I get my steps in

What an amazing place! I have been patronizing this library for over 20 years. Staff are amazingly kind and helpful. My child attended their story times since infancy. I feel very fortunate to be able to use their facilities. This City library also has three other smaller branches, making it so convenient for all. I've seen them patiently assist customers of all ages and backgrounds. I recommend it to everyone who wants a book, to use their sound lab, media lab with the latest design software, or attend a lecture ALL FOR FREE! All you need is their library card. Kudos NBPL!

Story times were a big part of his growing up and development. He is now a teen and still loves being a part of the day to day activities in this wonderful place. We have also watched it grow and are amazed at all of the free things they have to offer, all with a library card (which is also free!). The staff are so friendly and helpful, I feel so lucky to be able to use this facility.

For Review #476, oh crap! I've miscounted. I'd like it to land here at 'Newport Beach Public Library,' and wow!!!!
This Is like The Most beautiful local libraries Out in the South OC area that I have ever explored. I went further out from 'Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar,' last trip so I also drove down Newport Beach City Hall where the Community Library was. I soooo borrow books here all the time if I lived in the OC area.....
It's not far from either the Corona Del Mar Plaza or 'Crystal Cove Shopping Center,' either. I'll do be back in a flash!
I can just drive down here on the next upcoming weekends or another next long weekend. What a beauty! I have taken a video somewhere stored in my camera roll. Gotta look for that.Helpful 18Thanks 1Love this 20Oh no 0 - Sep 12, 2023
Come for the books and stay for the park.
The park looks like a fairytale land with sculptures and statue bunnies everywhere! Really cool place and you can get a mini hike in, because the building and the park go uphill!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 238319570Sep 2, 2023
Besides studying at my school's library, I enjoy coming to Newport Beach Public Library to study and get my assignments done. It's a great change in atmosphere. There are plenty of seats for you to stay at. They have seats by the windows for those that like to be in natural sunlight, seats in the middle of the library away from the windows, cubicle seats, independent study rooms that you can be in by yourself or with a group if you reserve upon arrival, and even seats outside! If you don't have a computer/laptop they have some available for use too. Wifi is very fast and it's nice and quiet inside the library. It's one of my favorite spots to be productive in.

This library is one of the prettiest I've seen! Not only is it huge, but you see a nice nature aesthetic of trees and ton of sunlight through the windows. There is also a cafe, but it was closed when I went today on a Saturday.
Plenty of seating with personal outlets.
It was quiet, but not too quiet. Perfect for concentrating on my studies.
Every Saturday morning, they also hold a "book sale" of gently used books near the front entrance when you walk in. I definitely recommend checking it out. I got a whole plastic bag of books for only $3! Super excited to read these in the near future. :)Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 8130483Jan 18, 2024
This is just a beautiful library that's classy and affords much space to those seeking to enhance their academic education or encourage children and adults of all ages to be interested in learning. The kids' section is safe; it's actually made for KIDS and not kid-mentality adults. I have been at libraries where the kids are pushed out of their own space area because there are too many adults and extraneous situations where the boundaries are too flexible. This library has a higher standard which I can appreciate. Additionally, they have children' story time and our favorite is Ms. Kristine who has a Theatre background as well as a Masters in Library Sciences so she is both educationally informative, academically inclined and yet, relatable to the children because of her theatre skills where you will feel so happy to make the trip to watch her do story-telling, songs and activities with your kids. Ms. Kristine is a gem for this library and you'll see how many come to see her during their weekly story-time; she is not monotonous at all. Instead, she grabs the children's attention and makes your heart warm by watching her. All other areas of the library have different sections divided, those for teens, older adults and a computer section as well. It's located where the City Hall is and therefore outside is a nice, green, grass area. Our new, favorite library.
