Sad because I'm writing this as a memory as I found out they closed (The Dover, NH location remains opened)
Very pleasant staff. Food was decent. Wouldn't call it 5-star quality but definitely lunch/dinner worthy for those who love Fish or Chicken Fingers. Rustic atmosphere (lighting was somewhat dim). Reasonable to comparable prices. The niece/nephew loved the big lobster tank. As I said very nice accommodating staff..and another loss to concord diningHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 14, 2021
1. What is with the reviews from people from NY, VA & elsewhere?
2. I had never gone to this location before, but was happy that I did!
3. They do require masks until you are seated, offer hand sanitizer, and each menu is single use. There is a QR code you can scan instead of using the paper menu.
I came here the day before Valentine's Day, just because, on the way back home from a visit to Bedford, NH. My boyfriend & I got there at about 11:15 so they had just practically opened. The place was essentially empty; the hostess was kind enough to give us a booth by a window. They had (3) Valentine's Day specials, including one labeled as "Sea for Two" which my boyfriend & I decided to order for $44.99 (giver or take). This meal came with your choice of fish or clam chowder, a fried seafood platter & your choice of dessert.
Our server, Brad-Leah, was so sweet & attentive. After we sat down, not shortly after did her section begin to fill in with several groups of people. She maintained each table very well & checked on everyone in an appropriate, timely manner. I have personally never been a server at a restaurant, but in my opinion, she was exceptional.
The chowders came out nice & hot. The seafood platter came out shortly after right at the correct time & was also hot & fresh. No complaints! We had also ordered a side of smelts because I was anxious to try to them & hadn't had them before. SUPER GOOD. We were bummed they didn't have any oysters on the half shell, but due to COVID their menu was reduced a great deal. Regardless, they still offered many of the classics & had enough variety for everyone.
Despite COVID & other negative affects, this was a pleasant lunch & I was very pleased with the level of service. We tipped Brad-Leah a little extra because she deserved it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Stone O.Methuen, MA210528Dec 29, 2019
Not impressed. Sort of a Weathervane vibe. Typical fried seafood menu with few options. The meal started with lukewarm Fish Chowder and Fried (from frozen?) Mushrooms. Neither were noteworthy. Fish Chowder was mainly broth with few potatoes and fish. Cold and tasteless. Mushrooms were forgettable. Under seasoned and served with Ranch Dressing.
Main courses consisted of a "Jumbo" Lobster Roll and a Seafood Medley. Lobster Roll was undersized and far from 'jumbo' (except for the price). One large teeth shattering shell included at no extra cost. The potato chips were very good.
The Seafood Medley was grossly underwhelming. The smallest scallops I've ever been served were accompanied by several small shrimp that were complete with overflowing mud veins (aka sh!t pipes). Absolutely gross. The only positive was that they were served piping hot so the bacteria was likely dead on arrival. Under cleaned and undercooked baby carrots and rice pilaf completed the meal. sigh.

Great place! Hadn't been to Newick's in years, but definitely wanted to get in for at least a lobster roll before heading back home. Its been more than 15 years since last coming to this wonderful lobster house, though it was in the Nashua location, not this one.
Came in around 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon and they were completely empty with just a few scattered tables filled.
Quickly ordered a water with lemon and lime and a jumbo lobster roll. I opted for double broccoli instead of cole slaw and the potato option due to dietary needs.
My waitress Kayla was very pleasant, professional and really helpful to cover my dietary needs and it was very appreciated.
Can't wait to come back to Newick's when back in the area in the future. Highly recommend!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - James H.Nashua, NH16546246Nov 14, 2021
So my mother in law and daughter were visiting (Hollis) from South Texas and we had planned a day trip to a an old-style candy store north of Lake Winni and then stop for lunch somewhere near Concord where we could have some oysters. Newick's website and their Yelp reviews had some pictures of raw oysters but what my people really wanted was fried oysters which they DON'T do, as it turned out. We still enjoyed the meal. It was good - not necessarily awesome or amazing. We ordered the fried mushrooms as an app, which were fine. I ordered the 'jumbo lobster roll' which was really just a regular sized lobster roll. It was just okay. All in all, the food was good. I ordered a bloody mary and am still not fully convinced there was a single drop of vodka in it. Last thing - high marks for the service though. Our waitress' name was Abby and she was just terrific. So thank you for being so responsive and patient with us Abby. I hope they are paying you wel
