Update: the day after posting this review and calling the health department, the card I used to purchase was massively blown up by fraudulent activity. Coincidence? Methinks not.
Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jul 6, 2015Previous reviewOrdered 5 XL pizzas and 7 orders breadsticks for dinner for my crew as we set up a fireworks display. Went and got them, brought back to site. Dove in even though they looked a little suspect. The first person to get close to finished with a piece noticed a large roach or june bug - that had been baked into the pizza. Gross. Immediately spit out what was in my mouth and we stopped eating. (Also, order was wrong - sent 5 orders garlic bread instead of 7 orders breadsticks). My brother went back to store with the slice with the bug - owner grabbed it and carried it back into the kitchen (health code violation). Refused to refund unless we brought back the rest of the food - it's like - dude, I don't have time for that, I have a fireworks show to set up. Also, you really think we're going to keep eating it after finding a roach? NOPE. Called to inquire further about refund, owner refused then threatened to kick my ass. Um gross. Called health department today. Feast your eyes on pics.

This is not the kind of place that would attract customers with its chic ambiance or great location. The cashier told me it's Bond Hill, which I know nothing about except what Wikipedia told me and what I saw, but I know it's not the popular OTR, nor Clifton, nor Hyde Park. From what I saw, it's not for everyone. That said, places like these intrigue me, because something must be good in order for the place to remain in business. So I pulled in on my way home (because I had already no to a donut and dinner felt so far away...) and discovered that the something keeping "New York Style" open must be the food. The guy manning the grill and the guy manning the register were super nice and friendly too. I changed my order twice and they still responded with a smile and conversations that made me laugh.
I switched my order from a fish sandwich to gyro once I found out that the guy was from Greece. My to-go box smelled amazing the entire 30 minute-drive home. Grilled lamb, perfectly seasoned on a bed of lettuce, tomato a chewy yummy pita and super good tzaziki sauce in its own container. The pita was really good too! My tongue was transported right back to Greece. I asked for my onion to be extra grilled, which happened. I shared it with a five-year-old and a nine-year-old, who can be picky eaters and they both give the meat thumb up. I will definitely return to try other items. They have wings, pizza, hoagies, sandwiches at pretty affordable price too. My gyro came out to be $5.50 total. You can make that into a platter with fries and hummus (I think).
It's not the kind of place who would bring a date to impress, unless he/she is super cool and only care about good food. It's the kind of place that looks old enough to be called dingy by some, but seemed clean. There's not much sitting rooms: a bench table outside and another one inside. The customers I saw ordered to go like I do and they seemed to be regular. One man complained jokingly how prices have gone up since a few years ago, but ordered anyway. Another returned with a handful of coins to finish paying for his order. They treated everyone politely and kindly regardless. I love that! A great meal, good price and happy service. What more can you ask for? Well, I do wish it is closer to work so I will have one more great lunch option.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Carrie A.Carmel, IN271205Jun 17, 2015
This place is great! They have a huge variety, so it's great for pleasing the mixture of tastes from your lunch crowd. It is prepared VERY quickly (I had 4 full combo orders ready in 10min)! The men working were very nice and friendly and one of them helped me carry the food out to my car. The gyros are awesome, and the other things ordered by my coworkers looked great and they also thought it was great food! Will definitely be back.

I don't review often so with that said...this pizza is delicious! The flavors are perfect, they don't skimp on toppings and the price is right. They also have a broader menu than just pizza...they also have hoagies and salads etc. I order mine to go...takes only 15 min, but you can dine in as well if you'd like. Give them a try. You'll be a repeat customer like me!

I was new to the city and looking for a halal restaurant in the area that served American food. As I pulled up to New York Style Pizza, I was a little skeptical due to the bright yellow facade...but as soon as I saw a few taxi cabs parked, I knew that this place would not disappoint. As I walked in, I was surprised to see how clean it was from the inside (note to self: do not judge a food establishment by it's door front). A friendly staff member greeted me and asked me for my order.
Famished from moving earlier that morning, I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak. It was quickly prepared for me and I took it to go.
I took it home and took a bite into the best Philly cheesesteak I have ever eaten. PS, the price was just as delicious too!
Long story short- this place is definitely worth a visit .Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Amina D.Cincinnati, OH13Jan 14, 2012
AWESOME New York style food for really cheap. Best cheese steak I have had in a while, superior wings. Large portions. Almost everything comes with fries and a coke for the same price. I am officially addicted.

I called in just to see if they delivered to my location and the lady that answered has the worst addition. I wouldn't even bother...
