Made a reservation 3 weeks ago. Arrive and no cars. Was a plane full of people and no cars? They are the only game in town right now so had no options. Why take reservations if you don't have the cars? Was 9 people waiting, hoping they would get a car. Total disaster

I can certainly understand the disappointment that this has caused, Randy. Please know that we never wish to inconvenience our valued customers. This place rents cars they don't have then have you sit and wait after all the car rental places are gone. Ridiculous!

No Emerald Isle!! I waited in line for 30 minutes then waited another 45 minutes to get my vehicle. I had a full size reservation booked 3 weeks out and they gave me a compact. I'm just happy I got something! It's shocking that 2 stars increases the average rating. As long as you anticipate an hour here, you'll be fine!

I have been renting from National car rental for about 15 months on a monthly rental. I have had nothing but trouble with the Moline location, rental after rental had issues. So I moved my rental to Peoria had a great experience with that location. I had to move my rental back to Moline for a new SUV. I got harassed to turn in my vehicle back in the very next day and for about five days.
Now I have moved my personal location to and now have to rent from Cedar Rapids IA location. I was told I could not do that. I asked Y, I was told it was cost me 450.00 Ok fine I replied. Then I was told we are over booked we can't do that. I said I can't turn in the car start a new rental with this very same car? No!
Now I have done this very thing for the last 15 months.
There is no customer service at Cedar Rapids just like at moline. I think I will take my 2000.00 a month rental to Hertz I am sure they will work with me & appreciate my businessHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Super nice staff. I cannot state that highly enough. They remember my name, always have cars ready for me, offer umbrellas, and go out of their way.
So why the two stars? Well more like 2.5, and some of it is due to just being a small airport. However, they also give me the worst cars ever. I've never driven so many Kia's, small decrepit hyundai's, and horrendous compact american cars like cobalts before they got a little nicer compact Americans. I travel about 40 weeks per year and have the occasion to rent cars almost every week. Most of the time, I rent from National. I work for Chrysler and typically drive one of our products for business. I have earned Executive Elite status with National and enjoy the ability to "drive any car in the aisle". Honestly, that's why I choose National! This is the first time that I've been restricted to a vehicle that the National Rental folks chose FOR ME. I had a GM model waiting for me, and I asked to move to another vehicle. I had a choice. I could DOWNSIZE to a small Dodge, or spend an extra $15 per day for an upgrade that I typically receive for free. I will NOT rent with National in Moline again.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! This location does not wait for delayed flights and/or the last flight before closing. I arrived on a delayed flight due to weather in Moline to find out they close at 10:30pm no matter what. As a woman traveling alone for work every week this is the first time I've heard of national closing at a specific time. This is the reason I rent at an airport location because it should close after the last flight. I had to walk to the nearest hotel, keeping in mind I know nothing about Moline. I was able to get a rental the next morning which my only option was a minivan (reserved a car) because 2 of their service employees called in for the day. No one apologized or cared about the big inconvenience I experienced. I will NEVER rent from National in Moline airport again if I had to go back there. Hertz stays open until the last flight!

I rent every month and have had numerous issues with dirty cars. This month the car had tons of black dog hair in it plus other "stuff" and one of the back headrests was halfway off. Also, there was no snow brush in the car so I had to use a piece of cardboard in my laptop case to scrape the ice and snow from the windows. The people at the desk are great but whoever cleans the cars needs re-training!

Absolutely worst experience. I am an executive national member and my experience with this location has been terrible on multiple situations. For example, called National and booked a reservation 2plus days before car was needed. Received confirmation email and 2 hours before I was reserved to pick up vehicle was told they were going to be closed and I wouldn't get a vehicle. Keep in mind, they could have told me earlier so I could make alternative arrangements but told me literally 2 hours before. When I called national, was told that the rep who made my reservation made a mistake and was hung up on.
During another lovely visit to Moline Airport, reserved a vehicle with National and when I arrived was told they had no cars and I had to find a taxi. Took multiple months for someone to get back to me to apologize and reimburse me for the cab after I called the "manager" over 5 times.
