N2 Mixology ™

Extremely rude! Won't even listen! Simply hung up without any explanation! Worst experience ever! Don't go here

I sure wish someone besides JOE answered the phone here this morning. I guess we will never be able to find out what all of the fuss is about due to his rude phone manners.

I called today after filling out the online request for info about 10-12 days ago, then emailing about a week ago. When Joe answered the phone this morning, I was relieved to know they were around and could answer some questions.

When Joe went into his spiel of asking ME questions, he got very upset if I'd need to stop him for clarification. He was annoyed I didn't have a more specific time than "evening" for the party that I'm in the midst of planning. He was condescending when I said my husband was "into mixology and had been to some of their places" which was I guess the wrong thing to say (??) -- [they have a list of all of the speak-easy-type places and bars in which their mixologists have worked so...?]. When he asked if we had a bar in our house, I said we could rent one -- that also annoyed him. He told me they were very expensive, he also said something about protecting themselves from our guests being rude to his mixologists bc they're young? WTF

Joe was super arrogant and told me he'd been doing this a long time and if I would just let him speak this would go better. I was not interrupting him and if I ever did, I would say, "I'm so sorry, let me just stop you for a second..." before clarification. Then he said if you want to talk to somebody else, which I wrongly assumed meant someone AT HIS COMPANY who could clarify things, he told me to go to a different company and to have a nice day. Wow.

Wow, do these guys know what they're doing. Not your average event planner/ caterer bar team. Real knowledgeable and impressive professionals. and entertaining to boot. you can't go wrong with Niko and team.

I need more stars for these guys. We held a private party at my friends house and from the start of putting the event together with John, to the night of the party with Nikko (who's also easy on the eyes, ladies)to his assistant Gus it was a fantastic experience.

All the guests were wowed, not just with the full bar set up with the fresh juices and garnishes but with the alcohol 101 that Nikko explained to the group as well as the one on one drink making lessons that each of the guests were able to participate in.

There's no way I'd use any other bartender services. N2 Mixology is it, look no further.

SITREP

I recently attended a special event hosted at the ICIS Apartment Homes, and N2 Mixology was the wonderful outfit that provided the drink options & the beverage service to all of us attendees.

THE SETUP

There was both a main bar area in the upstairs lounge area of the Office for ICIS Apartment Homes. [It has a wonderful vibe of a trendy club, with lots of space and great furnishings.] This set-up permitted the good people at N2 Mixology to prepare the drinks at the bar, as well as set-up server platters full of drinks to distribute.

And so I have to say right off how impressed I was with N2 Mixology's ability to cover such a large crowd of people (upward towards 200 by my own personal count).

THE BAR

Oh my goodness! There were so many delicious cocktail creations, and a shout-out needs to go here about the featured talents of Niko Novick and his crew from N2 Mixology.

THE AWESOME REP

Since starting N2mixology LLC back in 2011, Novick has been busy consulting with other bars, helping design some of the set-ups around town for new establishments. He has also been busy being booked for many shows after-parties, including the Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, and Toronto Film Fest two years in a row. The guy and his team's drinks are amazing, and the adding of dry ice gives some of the drinks I loved in particular since it gave a very mystical ambiance as they smoke up!

THE LOWDOWN

I love N2 Mixology and their beverage making and serving talents. They are your "go-to" vendor if you want to arrange a special event where classy drink preparation is a must.

We cannot thank you enough for the amazing bar tending services you and your company provided. We've done this event for 8 years and EVERYONE commented on how amazing the drinks were. How nice you and your staff were. And how AMAZING the drinks were. We raised over $25K and the money is still coming in. Thats a school in El Salvador that gets rebuilt. That means over 100 more kids get an education. You helped with that.

Mixology is THE THING right now.

So you can imagine my surprise when I called N2 Mixology and had an actual mixologist, the infamous and elusive Niko, answer my call after 2 rings!

Then something even weirder happened:

We chit chatted about his craft for a good 10-15 minutes. There was no rushing to his drink lab or hankering to get back to his nitrogen. He just sat there and answered all my dumb and uncool questions about what mixology entails and what it costs.

Plus he had an accent, so that was nice.


Fast forward to my party, because duh I booked him. He and Alex and very charming woman who's name escapes me, were THE HIT of the party. Let me list out the things they did that were amazing:

-Lit numerous drinks on fire.
-Used Nitrogen to make pomegranate honey dust (I think?).
-Never made the same drink twice (unless requested, of course).
-Dressed as if they may have just come from some sort of apothecary steampunk booze lab full of fancy drinks and a lot of old wood.
-Kindly shared with us what was in each drink.
-Used their fancy mixologist powers to make drinks that fit people's personalities
-Didn't rush out the moment the clock struck 'stop'.
-Brought a LABORATORY of tinctures and garnishes.
-Brought (what seemed like) a piece of Antarctica to chill our drinks, making mini ice bergs as needed.
-Made drinks that smelled like grapefruit and vanilla, but tasted like honey and toasted carmel (magicians).
-Did I mention LIQUID NITROGEN???

This group is the creme de la creme of libations. They will come to your house and spoil your taste buds for eternity, so be warned. You will never look at a whiskey sour the same again.

There is no other way to drink alcohol.

About 1.5 weeks ago, my husband and I attended an event where N2 Mixology came to supply the etoh (alcohol for all of you non science people). The line and wait to get a delicious concoction made by the bartender was a bit longer than we wanted to wait. But we were so intrigued with all of the fog and noise coming from his little work station. So I just had to stand in awe and watch him a few times to make other people's drinks. I even stood closer to the bar area just to get an more up close look because it was pretty awesome and I had to video the man in action.

I love the thought of the use of science mixed in with a hand crafted drink.

The bartender's use of the dried ice kind of reminded me of those up and coming new ice cream type of shops, but what makes this more appealing is the alcohol :) If I had to choose between ice cream and alcohol.... well.... =D

If only I knew about N2 Mixology before I got married because I would have totally considered having them at my reception because it would just add more flash & flair to the soiree.

Having N2Mixology at your next event will definitely impress your guests as it did at the event I attended and have people talking about it for weeks or months & help get your event off to the right start.

I don't drink, ever. That clearly wasn't an issue and the team made me two different amazing sweet and sour smooth bubbly concoctions with fresh fruit and god knows what else. They were polite, professional and styled to the 9s. I highly recommend you let them do their thing, you won't be disappointed, I know I wasn't!

I agree. I need more stars for this team! Basically, our party was to transform a movie theater concession stand into a bar for a screening. John went back and forth with me for the planning process for weeks and the night of the event, the whole team rocked the house (Niko, Ken, Karli). They are fun and at the same time professional to get the job done and take care of your guests. This made all the difference! Our event was a success and I would refer this company to anyone looking for a good service and overall team!
Tip: they take the quality of their work very seriously so be at peace, you will not get the cheap stuff working with them - only the best and the finest!!!
