Jaesschke manages the HOA for the neighborhood I live in. I had a, what I thought, a pretty straight forward question about who is liable for the damage to the exterior fence wall. The person on the phone asked if I could send an email with pictures to Mariana Chen, which I did.
After one reminder, she responded that she had to consult a manager, John Abello. A few weeks later, I still didn't get an answer, and after two additional reminders, Ms Chen responded that it was still under review of the manager and the Board.
At the time of writing this review, it has been nine (!) weeks since my initial question. I've sent several new reminders, including copying their customer service department, but no response whatsoever.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Review from an owner of a condo from HOA(Coral Ridge) managed by NNJ in SD(if I could give 0 stars to them I would do):
Without the full knowledge of why the HOA board picked up this company four years ago, I have noticed some issues:
* The communication channels between NNJ and HOA members are set in a way to make every request, from little tasks to more complicated ones, bureaucratically expensive in terms of time and lack diligence;
* The high turnover of HOA managers over the past years can be a red flag;
Miscommunication between the management team and HOA members, e.g., generating notifications to the wrong members;
* Lack of diligence and no reasonable follow-up in the resolution of requests: it's common to have requests opened for 1yr+ and no monitoring from the TowSq app made available to HOA members(crickets);
* 90% of the time, when reaching the management team, we are prompted by canned responses;
* Lack of proactivity;
Conclusion: Hard company to work with with canned short responses, no proper diligence, and evasive. In essence it shares the same from most of big companies: excess of bureaucracy in detriment of practicality and quality of service.
P.S.: even if this review receives another canned response from NNJ asking to reach them to "solve the problem", I am sure it won't get in anything else different. This is a holistic company issue first and foremost that should be figured out internally with them. Facts are here.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

They deserve negative stars.
I have been trying to get approval for window replacement since January. I have jumped through all of their hoops and they still can't give me answers.
I have told them multiple times that this is causing damage to my property and no one seems to care. It seems that legal action could be taken for negligence on the part of the HOA.
I have emailed the property manager Cheryl every other day for the past two weeks and she doesn't answer my emails.
I have left 4 voicemails and no one returns my calls.
When they finally do return emails they make up some other excuse or create another obstacle only to avoid actually doing their jobs.
This is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.
Avoid them at all costs!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I am the President of an HOA in San Diego, CA. We picked NNJ in 2021 to be our new management company, after we met with a terrific sales team. I say terrific because the team leader was a great salesperson. Well our experience with NNJ has been nothing more than horrendous. There has been no communication between management and homeowners. Communication and follow through between management and the board has been all but nonexistent.Communication with upper management was useless. We have begun what we are hoping is a good relationship with a new management company that can help turn things around. I really wish I had something positive to say about our experience with NNJ, but I just can't. All I can say is stay away from this management company.

Update 8/16/23
Hollis the Community manager never responds to emails or calls. There noise violations such as barking dogs, smoking weed all over the area, items ganging from balcony railings that are about to fall, large broken cement holes, gates that don't close and Hollis ignores that and more. She then cried she's being harassed to the board because I call her out by her employer and makes up lies that I cussed her out so she can not to do her job whenever a report comes in. She should be fired asapHelpful 3Thanks 2Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

Dec 27, 2022Previous reviewExit gates not working for a month. Trespassing happening daily. Hollis silent and refuses to get them fixed.
Nov 20, 2022Previous reviewUpdate 11/20: I am dealing with multiple owners who always have their pets loose in the common area and when I report it to Hollis she never replies and the same pets are still loose. I had to get animal control involved. Hollis does not answer her phone, does not reply to emails, and takes no action on violations in helix de Oro. Also never updates her community.
Update 10/27: They finally repainted the fire lane and put a no parking on fire lane on the fence after 2.5 years of me requesting it and it being faded after I posted this review. They still don't allow residents to tow cars parked on the fire lane though and residents know this so they just keep parking on the fire lane but at least left often. I am now dealing with other violations that Hollis is doing her best to ignore and pretend are not happening along with the clowns of the HOA in helix de oro.
Old review:
My HOA and our community manager Hollis Liebe are making it extremely difficult to report violations letting my community run by the residents and they do anything they want such as loud noises, illegal parking, smoking, loose pets, littering, dumping large objects by dumpster etc. Our community manager is bad at communicating about the community and rarely responds to emails. I do not recommend buying a property where NNJ is involved as our previous community manager was worse and only one was good but she left th company. On a different day i called our community manager and she had an attitude and rudely said no thanks when I respectfully asked her to request towing of a car on the fire lane because she wont let residents tow, only HOA board members or her.Sep 19, 2022Previous reviewMy HOA and our community manager Hollis Liebe are making it extremely difficult to report violations letting my community run by the residents and they do anything they want such as loud noises, illegal parking, smoking, loose pets, littering, dumping large objects by dumpster etc. Our community manager is bad at communicating about the community and rarely responds to emails. Charise McLauglin, our HOA community manager, performs extremely poorly.
After sending me an erroneous email, she then spent money on a certified mail providing the exact same erroneous information.
She requested that I provide access to the unit, it was arranged and the tenant was told and agreed. Her people did not show up. When I sent an email the same day explaining that no one showed up, she did not respond. Then she sent me and the tenant an email stating we denied access, when that was not the case. She was offered a second date at this somewhat confounding letter and did show up. She did not apologize for her error and doubled down sending erroneous information with a certified mail. My HOA is paying for the misuse of funds. I am not sure the intent behind the certified mail. The email trail, I have should suffice to communicate her lack of communication.
Additionally, i had a credit on my account and then I had a balance, I asked her for information to explain the the changes, which I received 2 months later.
To think she is the best of NNJ, thus far. At least I received erroneous information and something 2 months later, normally the people involved don't communicate at all.
They are also as a company biased on who they serve within the same HOA community.
It is a challenge to have HOA management, represented poorly NNJ that can not be trusted to be responsive, accurate, compassionate and competent.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Big name , but pretty useless. Will put the board and homeowners in immense pressure citing unnecessary and made up rules. Avoid at all costs.

They had time to reach out to try to pretend like they were doing something, but they took six days to address a direct maintenance request from me to please check the area adjacent to the place where water was pouring from the ceiling. Six days later, of course, they found the damage, which will now be much worse for the delay. Again, run, don't walk.

Feb 6, 2024Previous reviewRun - don't walk. If I could give negative stars I would. Reported a leaking pipe on January 25th in guest suite. Called and made an Internet report. Not addressed until February 5th. Collapsed ceiling, water in other units. What a mess.
NNJ is a mess in general. From not answering phones and total silence when we need them to this latest disaster, it has been nothing but incompetence.
The turnover is terrible. We have had one decent manager. Run, run, run. - Alexis N.Downtown, San Diego, CA0344Feb 27, 2023
I've been living in my current condominium for 2 years. Unfortunately we have had this company throughout the duration of my residence here. Problems arose from the very beginning, as they were quick to take my money and dragged their feet to the very last second in regards to getting the necessary paperwork to close sales on my property.
Aside from our own HOA board incompetence, our current representative from this company is highly unprofessional. The crass tone and remarks, not to mention monopolization of our meetings is not appreciated nor appropriate.
Sending checks in the mail has been an increasingly difficult task, however they do encourage it by sending coupon books to attach to your check.
Expect periodic late fees and checks not cashed on time or even at all.
Slow to deposit any check, quick to send you 5 reminders within a short period of time threatening to hold the unwarranted late fee over your property.
It is possible my experience is mostly based on our current representative from this company. However if hiring such personnel is how this company wants to be represented, then this review is deserving.Helpful 7Thanks 2Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

I rate one star but would rate (-20) If I could. The should be helping the community instead adding obstacle for your project! --Applications not treated in a timely matter
-Instead of pick up the phone and help... they preferred wait an other month to push for permits. ZERO Help!!!
-They are trying to get more fees from neighbors
-They talk back and profile people!
-Worst Customer Service Ever here at Cielo!
-The main office in SD never answers the phone, zero leadership from them, and we are stuck with 3 secretaries in our community.
If you are looking for a management company, will be the worst desicion ever!
Highly unrecommended!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1Business owner information
