Chobani Greek Yogurt is what they put in my breakfast parfait, along with some fresh fruit and granola, topped with an extra topping of almonds earned from a good old Yelp check in. I also had a pour over coffee for $3.
In addition to the loads of great Greek yogurt, this parfait was all about the layers: the layers of creamy yogurt with its touch of sourness, sweet mildly acidic strawberries, crunchy earthy granola and hemp, and then finished via the nutty almonds (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/myxologie-juice-bar-san-diego?select=mNn3cfpiha3tdiU3hy5t4A#jJEXfySTrodDfNdkaqtplA). All were terrific to eat together. They were not skimpy on the yogurt I may add. They also make crepes, waffles, steel cut oatmeal, and of course and array of smoothies and juices.
The pour over coffee was great. It very was very smooth and rich, with not a hint of bitterness. Rocky made my parfait and it was great. Oddly enough, it was her first time making one and she passed with flying colors. She was quite friendly and sweet as well. Christian made the pour over, and my hat goes off to him for making a great one.Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0 - 3145742843Jan 30, 2015
This place rocks healthy panini sandwiches - I did the chicken and spinach and shared with my Dad (I loooove the aioli sauce!) and the smoothies are simply delicious.
Super close to Petco park, with very convenient parking structure next door and uber nice staff offer excellent service! I also admired the art decor. And when you feel naughty, the cinnamon rolls are a decadent treat.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sep 28, 2013
We walked by this new juice bar on our way to the new Library and stopped in for some healthy treats. We tried the fresh fruit cup of long slivers of watermelon, pineapple, mango, and melon. The kids were able to have huge chocolate probiotic frozen yogurt. I love that it has deliberate choices to keep my kids stepping up their digestive system, if ya know what I mean.
The contemporary modern design of this juice bar has outside seating as well as plenty of tables inside to enjoy some sandwiches & fresh juice. There are 4 large flatscreen TV around the seating area.
We love the variety of the menu and the reasonable price point of everything. We can't wait to try more of the fresh juices on the menu and some of the Umpqua Oatmeal. This may be my go hydration place for a superfood smoothie since it's so close to the New Central Library. This is exactly what the East Village needed to mirror the healthy lifestyle of the neighborhood. It's mom & pop business like this that are adding so much charm to the East Village.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - May 27, 2015
I just go gaga for this kind of crap. Ya know the juice/yogurt bowls/healthy world brand of cafe shops kind of crap. Excuse my less than classy language but we are sooo incredibly lacking in places like this in the Central Valley that I jump on these cafes like white on rice.
Is it just me or does everyone in San Diego look like they don't eat ice cream? The demographic here appears to be a lot less fluffy than my own kind at home. With that being said, my girl friend and I got super inspired to jog through Balboa Park and a few wrong turns later we ended up accidentally racking up 7 miles until we finally made it home. Our reward? Myxologie Bowls. They have blended acai and pitaya (I had never heard of pitaya but I guess it's dragon fruit puree or something). You also can get a free super boost mix in with a yelp check in (like flax, chia, nuts, etc)
I got the Green Bowl with only half the sweetener and it was plenty sweet. It has kale blended into the acai (which you can't even taste), berries, bananas, hemp granola, and I asked for a dollop of almond butter on top. It was like a 1/4c and I'm nutty for nut butter so I was quite pleased. My friend got some green smoothie and it was delish as well. They have citrus water for free while you wait and they do have a small selection of salads, wraps, and sandwiches. We liked it so much we came again a few days later before we left the city.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Alyssa V.Fort Worth, TX13096104Mar 2, 2015
Walking to work this morning I wanted a different option for a quick grab breakfast (which is very limited at 7AM downtown.). I came across Mixology because they had a breakfast menu out on the sidewalk. Choices were waffles, crepes, panini, acai bowl or steel cut oats. I chose the panini minus the meat.
The panini was made with sourdough, egg cheese and spinach inside. I was also given a very garlic aioli on the side - I got the panini to go. When I got to work, I opened my panini and was pleasantly surprised with the delicious sandwich that was made for me. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the aioli was a perfect compliment.
I would recommend grabbing a quick breakfast here in the am. The service was friendly, and it was all around a nice way to start the day. I haven't tried their smoothies as of yet, but I will be sure to soon.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michelle P.San Diego, CA3279251Sep 26, 2016
This is a great little gem, I only wish they were open earlier. Their menu is full of fresh and healthy options. I have yet to try everything, but am very excited to try all the different acai bowls. My favorite is the Belgian waffle with fruit, it's definitely a great breakfast treat at a great price.

Myxologie juice bar is a bit different from a lot of the juice bars I've been frequenting in LA. It's got the whole live lean and eat clean thing down pat. The major difference is the exotic fruits that they use. The apple pitaya drink was ridiculously bright. To be fair, the fruit itself is actually very eye popping magenta, so it's not like I didn't expect it having eaten the dragon fruit a couple times in Asia... But something about that bright magenta smoothie kind of scared me... just a little. But in a good way.
The skinny bitch definitely tasted good as well.
Steep, but right in line with any other juice bar, and the best part is that it's a nice blended drink, great for hot days like these.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Julie G.San Diego, CA5565Jul 28, 2014
I've been here twice and both times for smoothies. They make smoothies with fresh and natural ingredients, so they are not loaded with extra sugar. The acai ginger smoothie is delicious and the strawberry banana is awesome. I opted out of the agave because I don't like smoothies to be very sweet.
The service is prompt, and the girl that has helped me twice is super friendly and helpful. I do feel like it is on the pricey side, but the quality is worth it.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
