Found Missy on Groupon as my wax lady is out of commission at the moment, and she was fantastic! I got a Brazilian and she got every nook and cranny and every hair. She even got my armpits while I was there no problem. She had good music on, her service room was clean and very nice. She treated me with some oil afterwards made from hemp seed. Didn't hurt at all and she was really fast. I highly recommend you check her out. She also has Brazilian packages for an amazing price. Support black women owned businesses she knows her stuff. I will be returning to her.

Well this was the first time visiting this Salon for a Brazilian. I am new to this and would get my waxes at the nail salon. Ms Verveinc Skincare & Waxing has changed that. I like that she gives pre and post skincare information for the pubic area. This is my new go to spot and will be purchasing a Brazilian package!

I purchased a 3 pack Brazilian wax deal off of Groupon before experiencing a wax from this establishment and person (Missy). I used 2 of the 3 wax passes and just decided to cancel my last appointment. I will not redeem my last wax because regardless of the great deal, my skin care is more important to me.
Here is my experience:
I was sore for 4 days after the first wax and the second time wasn't as bad but I still had the same experience, minus the lingering physical soreness. Both times my skin broke out with bumps and within the same wk I had stubs. I've never experienced that before anywhere else and I have been getting waxed for 12+ years now. My skin is usually smooth as a baby after a wax and the hair grows back slowly, softer and thinner. After the last two experiences here, I've had stubs right after which means she only pulled the hair skin deep and not at the root. I also noticed a significant darkening pigmentation after.
I wanted to give Missy a second chance since she was so personable and let's not forget to mention, the great Groupon deal I got for the Brazilian waxes. So, upon entering for the second wax session, I spoke to Missy about my soreness and breaking out after the first wax, expressing the concern I had about my skin reaction from the last wax session I had with her and requested a hard wax if she had any available. Missy confirmed that she had hard wax and directed me to the room to prepare for the second session. She started with a blue wax, which was different from the wax she used during my first appointment (it was still a soft wax) but during the session, she reverted back to using the same yellow wax she used on me during the first session. After we were done, she assured me that it was probably just my aging that was making my skin act funny. I know things change as we age, but I also know that this wasn't the cause of my skin reaction.
I was excited about this establishment but I've been convinced to steer clear of small owned businesses, pertaining to skincare. I hold zero animosity towards Missy as an individual but I hope she will listen to her clients in the future to give them the best experience possible. As for me, I have so much work to do to reverse what has been done to my vagina within these past two visits to MsVerveInc. I will go back to the good quality waxing centers and licensed estheticians that I've found along my waxing journey because I value my skin far more than a discount. Thank you for your honest opinion and for allowing me to service you.
In my 20+ years of being a professional licensed Aesthetician there have been skincare contraindications that have not been under my control. I do take pride in listening to my customers, and I apologize if you felt that I was not hearing you clearly about your concerns. I also take pride in being a black owned business that has utilized Groupon as a way to meet new customers. I hope that you will find the skincare specialist that will meet your needs but please don’t count out the smaller private business owners.

I've been going to Missy for waxing regularly for two years, bikini and eyebrows. She always does an excellent job, and I've never had any skin sensitivity to the products that she uses.

I have been a long time customer here. Missy is always very kind and accommodating on days I'm running late or need to make last minute changes to my schedule. I also like that she offers Brazilian wax packages; they are usually $300 for 10 which is an awesome deal considering you spend $60+ per individual wax. She's super quick and efficient, but will allow you to point out areas that may be a little stubborn and go back to remove extra hair.

So finally got around to get my first waxing I was super nervous from all the horror stories I heard.
Missy made my experience as pleasant as it could be obviously not painless but she was so sweet and professional. She tried to distract me as much as possible with random questions and conversation.
I will definitely be back planning on bringing a friend with me next time for her first time.

I normally only get Brazilians for special occasions, but my groupon is about to expire and Memorial Day is around the corner so I figured why not. I had an appointment scheduled for 6:00 with Ms Missy. I was on time and so was she.
The spot itself is very small and appears to have 2 rooms and a very small waiting area. That doesn't bother me since I just want to get in and get out.
I'm not going to lie Brazilians are painful, but Ms Missy is so sweet and does everything possible to make you comfortable and alleviate the pain. She did go over a couple spots more than once, but it's just because she seems like a perfectionist and wants to do good work. I was very satisfied with the results and will go back....eventually. Missy is a very professional and personable aesthetician. Her studio is very accessible and cozy. She will make this painful process very bearable. She is very detailed. I found her on Groupon but she also have her own affordable package deals. Highly recommend!!

You just wrote an essay to explain why you made us feel disrespected. You talked over me while I was explaining the situation and never once did you offer to make good on the $50 you charged me or the $20 my friend paid towards her wax package. Had you been willing to honor that $70 perhaps this review wouldn't have been so negative...at the end of the day I never authorized you to book both appointments under my credit card but being the unethical business woman that you are, you took the liberty of doing so, unbeknownst to me.
For the record I called and complained to Groupon and after explaining the entire debacle, they empathized with the facts and refunded my card for the waxes as well as issued a credit. Thank you for your feedback. I will continue to take pride with extending good customer service as I have for 10+ years. I am sorry that you do not feel that you received good customer service. I extended good customer service by responding to you and your friend immediately after you called on a day(Sunday), which I am closed. In turn, I would not have scheduled an appointment on a day that I am not open. I appreciate that you and your friend scheduled another appointment with me, and that one of chose to take advantage of my deal package, which expresses satisfaction for my services to want to return. My scheduling system is very accurate and the scheduling book is a double check of my appointments. When a customer schedules online and in person, they schedule the day and time desired, and when scheduling online a cc is required to schedule an appointment in the system. Placing the cc in the system authorizes this business to charge for no show no call, and late appointments. The same cc stays in the system throughout the customers scheduling history. There is statement online before each cc is entered that states what it is for, and an email confirmation explains in detail the policies and my office hours; in this case the NO SHOW POLICY, that states that there is a fee for a no call, no show. So, because there were two no show, no calls on the scheduled day(Saturday), fees were applied accordingly. I am not responsible for customers who do not read policies when scheduling, and for them coming in on none scheduled appointment days.
Moving forward, I welcome all customers to return if they wish, and I have no problem with resolving issues that they may have. I also am happy to return any monies paid towards deals, as it is also a courtesy for me to allow partial payment on full deal packages that are usually paid up front. Thank you again for choosing to receive my services, as I will continue to allow adequate time for each of my customers during their scheduled appointments, so that no ones time is wasted.Mar 6, 2016Previous reviewI went in for a service and booked online, one for me and one for my best friend. The service was average, and my friend lost her Brazilian wax virginity. That was fine. We rebooked in person, with the owner. There was a miscommunication because both myself and my BFF marked our calendars for today. Upon arrival for said appointments, the office was dark and closed. My friend called and we were told that the office was closed on Sundays and she called back as a courtesy. A courtesy??? This is business, not a favor! And where was this "courtesy" call yesterday, for our alleged appt? I was not told that my card was going to be used for BOTH reservations nor was I notified that I would be charged. If we showed up today, we CLEARLY thought that our appts were for TODAY. She was unapologetic, in fact she blamed us both for the misunderstanding. My friend had paid $20 towards her waxing package, so in essence, we just paid $70 to be disrespected and insulated. I cannot express my disgust with the TERRIBLE customer service and the frustration experienced. I would like my $25 back that I was charged for EACH wax- $25 for mine AND $25 for my friend's and an apology.
